Stealth doesn't feel broken to me, 30ish hours played a19.

What is broken is the elevator hatch exploit!! Bring it back or develop a new elevator in a20+ !!

I think people already did by using sideways grange doors instead of hatches.

Stealth blah blah blah who cares ,  its useless on horde night and its more fun to fight something thats fighting back.

what about spawing in roaming zeds inside of houses when u get close.  Now that would be more fun!!

you know, sleepers , that.... arent....sleeping...

When we get bandit patrols hopefully "roamers" will fall out of that tech.

So STR has the absolutely fantastic cigar that lets you double dip and you are complaining?

I'm not complaining that I can double dip.  If I'm complaining at all it's because I'd like to see some balancing and more options for both eyewear and the face slot.   Mostly I am curious at what point in development this might get looked at, or if what we have now is how it's going to be.

Sure, it needs some tweaks, but have you ever tried and played an end game agility character ? Hell, even at halfway there you  use 1 repair kit and a machete tops to clear an entire tier V POI. I welcome some spices here and there.

Im sure, the variety will come with time.  Have you checked out Store_gun_02 (sp?)  That is one of the newer POIs that use the attack volumes in a more creative way.  :)

I still don't understand the plan. Are they going to be all about combat "behaviours" or are they gonna sleep, eat and chat (etc) too? Sometimes the little things like that are what makes gameplay deep.

Imagine a bandit boss bossing around and telling a minion to go fetch something/someone inside a nearby POI in real time.

Yes, I know what you mean. I like that stuff.

Exactly my point.

My point too.
I don't understand how players can spend points on Stealth?
The worst thing is that if you want to make a tier 5 with "stealth" you will be literally 24 hours real.
Let's not even mention that on horde night it is useless and guess what, the game is about surviving the hordes haha

Here's a bit of hate: I always thought people use stealth because they are new to the game JA

People underestimate zombie hearing. They detect you more by hearing than seeing. We do not have audio occlusion, so walls do not block sounds.

With zero light and maximum stealth perks, they will always see/hear at some minimum distance like 1m.

Sooo out of curiousity how is the knife supposed to work? i gave up on trying to make use of it because everything wakes up before you get to it due to the small range and trip hazards. The stealth bonus really seems like a booby trap to me, i have been able to make use of it a few times but i get the impression id be better off with a longer range weapon and using their heavier power attack.

You could say that you need perks to really use it but i feel like that defeats the entire niche the knife is supposed to inhabit, you may as well make the bonus damage the perk at that point.

It might be too much to ask but could knives get an extended period for their bonus damage? like for 1s after an enemy wakes up, knives deal full stealth damage? Maybe make that a perk and increase that bonus to up to 5 seconds at full?

If i could push further id love the power attack on sleepers to be something like getting the zombie in a headlock and slitting their throat for an instakill, maybe as the final perk point? animation might be too much to ask for though (and grappling effects)

Dam tree, trying to take my loot

1. This post contains "m-word" content, so it's probably best not to post that here.

2. Did you chop down the tree to gain access to that air drop? When I tried that at the beginning of A19 EXP, doing so just destroys the airdrop so you have to nerdpole up to it.

Yeah, from playing both types of builds it seems like it would be way easier to get a sneak attack melee kill with a sledge and zero sneak skill than it would with a knife and from the shadows maxed out.

Pretty sure I have gotten a number of sneak attack melee kills on my str/intel build, with my flaming steel axe and my headlight on, lel.

Its mainly say if your maining Fortitude and you have the choice between wearing Tough Guy Glasses for +1 to Fortitude or the Nerdy Glasses for +1 Intellect and +10% xp. Which one will benefit you more to wear long term? Lets say your low level and just competed a quest and the reward are either the Tough Guy Glasses or the Nerdy Glasses, which do you take?

So I looked at the xml and if I made no mistake the 10% XP bonus amounts to less than 1 level until you are level 16. Then slowly growing to about an 1.8 level lead at level 60.

Basically using the right glasses for the attribute can save you more than using the nerd glasses all the way up to level 60, but they are not a bad substitute.

@madmole could we see the military truck as a drivable vehicle in a future Alpha, would be neet to see since the model is already in the game?

You could make it like the auger where you have to find the schematics to build it, with their being no perk to unlock it.

Would be a nice end game thing that can hold 6 people
