Some biomes are going to run slower than others, because different graphics are rendered in different biomes like mountains in snow. The testers made a chart of their FPS in each biome. Their ranges were 40-66, 58-96, 32-44, 29-59 (vsync), 32-47, 49-91 and 35-59 with snow always being the worse one. It needs more research.

Thanks for the update! Glad this problem is getting attention :)

Just started a game over with my gf and we realised that going archery has the drawback of needing bow/crossbow parts to craft anything beyond the primitive bow. Why the discrepancy and the double gate ? Every other iron weapon simply needs forged iron, it feels kinda sad to sink points into the bow perk and still needing to loot actual bows and/or parts (8 no less at Q3) before you can make use of it. Makes progression non-existent by crafting until you actually got going by looting anyway, just like for firearms (for which imo it makes total sense).

The wooden bow is a tier 2 weapon. Tier 2 ranged weapons (with the exception of the spear) require parts to build. I’m pretty sure the effect of this change (requiring looting to craft) is intended.

i drew up a zombie called the "infector"

he wears a patient gown that is covered in blood and a dark yellow mucus.

he has a very large jaw around 10 inches tall and 5 inches wide and is covered in tumors that act like armor!

he is called the infector because A: if he bites you its a near instant stage two or more infection and B: his mucus is also infected and acts like a bullet he shoots at you (can't destroy blocks) but if it hits you you can be infected or it will hurt you like a "fire effect"

he spawns around day 28 and also can be found in hospital's! and he has 700 HP!

ill see if i can draw it on my PC and put it in the pictures and videos forums .

ALSO HAPPY HALLOWEEN

That sounds like a great idea, madmole we need this in our life 😂

There is no need for reports like this we are aware. Hopefully we will just adjust game stage instead of spawning specific zeds, then it actually scales for everyone. As is as for a level 1 guy those zeds are too hard, for a level 80 guy its too easy.

You had asked me to post a screenshot of that specific poi, so I was just following up on it. ;)

And ya never did mention if you'd tried chaffles yet. ;)

side note MM. how much backstory and character design have you put into the duke. I know he is a casino owner/boss. but does he have a symbol, do his men walk around in dusters and cowboy boots? does he have an emblem or something that lets people know those are his men?

I would really love to know.

He's already in the game on that big painting.

1) I think traders should sell all gun / tool parts (which would help craftsmen) and no weapon better than orange. They should be very expensive but always available.

2) The random stock does not seem like a good thing (sometimes I have to visit four or five traders to get something - or not - and it's just boring for nothing). Traders have to be an expensive alternative to randomness, not being part of it.

I hope the developers will separate what we can find in loot (books, high level weapons, tools and armor, etc.) and what we can buy. Reduce what traders are offering but make their stock always available. If I can't find a workstation schematic, there should be one last solution: buy the workstation at a very high price. I mean, after a week of intensive research, yes, I'm willing to pay 30,000 for a forge or 50,000 for a crucible. And it's good for the economy : we need to spare money for those essential items.

And, as I said before, traders shouldn't sell schematics, but only articles. As a cook, I don't sell my recipes, but only cooked meals. I don't want my customers to cook at home.

Nope, all T2 firearms require parts.

Traders offer an equal alternative to looting. If you completely ignore the traders, then you'll do just fine. (Throughout most of the history of 7D2D, there were no traders at all.) A18 isn't balanced around the traders. It's just 50 and 50 coming together to make 100. Each 50 (looting vs trading/questing) are as powerful as each other and are more than enough on their own. Don't like that the traders are selling T5 items? Don't buy them. Don't like that the trader is selling the gyrocopter parts schematics and you'd rather find them in loot? Then don't buy them.

Note: I am not trying to create any sort of beef between us. I just don't understand the argument.

No problem ^^. I'm not complaining about things sold by the traders (yes I would prefer some finished products not to be there, but I can deal with it).

A TLDR part was missing : Traders should always sell workstations (and gun/tools part for people who are currently complaining about not finding enough parts to craft theis items). Very high prices, always available. (I should have just write that).

While I don't agree that traders should always sell workstations, I do think that forges could be added to some additional POI's. Currently the only reliable location to find a forge is at a trader, and if its working or if the destroyed variation doesn't have the schematic, then you're almost "forced" to put a point into advanced engineering anyhow. Maybe it's balanced, maybe it's not, idk. I just find it odd that the forge, which is almost necessary early game, is by far the most rare workstation to be found in the world. :p

(Also, you get the schematics from looting the destroyed versions of the workstations. There's lots of word going around that you need to wrench them (I've gotten into well over a dozen discussions in the past few days alone where people try to correct me on this, claiming you get them by wrenching the stations), which obviously isn't true.)

Is it me or are zombie bag drops lower in A18 compared to A17?

Maybe, maybe not, but if you complete the Lucky Looter book set, then loot bags will be dropping like flies.

I never had a problem with it. Put 4 on your belt so you don't get caught reloading. If we ever do a higher tier handgun it would probably be the desert Eagle.

Make a pirate armor set with 4+ flintlock holsters so I can pack 4+ magnums without sacrificing as much inventory and I'll consider it lol
