While we are on the topic of PC performance (I lied, we are not) I was wondering if anyone has tips to improve performance. I found stuff for Minecraft that made a world of difference and hoping to with this game too... Being that both are Voxels.

I'm on an older Republic of Gaming ASUS gaming laptop with a GTX 960m, Intel i7-4720HQ 2.6 GHz processor, upgraded 1TB SSD. I'm getting around 30 fps. With it being a laptop, I am limited to what I can upgrade - HDD (already upgraded to SSD) and RAM. I don't think I can upgrade anything else.

Not an IT guy, but tech-savvy to a point... Is this considered a potato now?

There is software on Steam for a few bucks that forces the game to get exclusive use of parts of the core and keeps windows from interfering in those CPUs

CPUCores is the one I'm thinking of and it says it will increase FPS, maybe check out the comments section before buying.

Thank you, Aldranon! +1 to you, sir! I've never heard of it. Definitely something I will research a bit and make sure it isn't a "Geek Squad" type thing where they charge you a bunch of money for something you can dig into your own settings and figure out yourself lol. Very helpful and I will post my experience just so others know if it works or not.

Cheers!

I altered the "arguments?" in Minecraft a long time ago and it also helped to allocate more RAM to Minecraft. Any idea if we are running into the same possibility with 7DTD? Just a thought.

Funny you mention because I do have grass set to "Near" and have become quite good at zigging and zagging between quick approaching trees and boulders as I ride my minibike.

I really want to build my own PC from the ground up. No doubt I have the intelligence for it... just need the money and time. With 4 kids, that is difficult hence why I have a laptop from 2015, but was smart enoug to get a gaming one - haha. I start a new job on Monday that includes a 30% increase in pay so I just might make my next project a legit gaming PC... Have to fly under the radar though because kdis come first so need to buy it piece-by-piece to keep the wife happy. Maybe I'll have a legit gaming rig by 2025 lol.

Thank you guys for the great ideas and suggestions. I know this isn't really the forum for it, but nonetheless thank you!!

The only problem with buying it piece by piece is that by the time you get all of the pieces, your early purchases may have gone down in price or may have become obsolete. Better to hide the money and buy it all at once when you have enough. Speaking from experience here.

so bandits got delayed huh? well that's definitely highly disappointing since that was what I was really hoping forward to A17 to make it have a better late end-game. oh well.

the zombie AI got a revamp, try it before judging it.. cause if there were bandits with the same AI issues that the zombies had, there wouldnt have been any end game.

video! videa video!

can we have a Roland gameplay video again? ;-P

I know the background story... Roland gets knocked out and dropped naked into the desert by madmole for giving out releasedates. The wrong release Date made the fanbase so mnad that they turned mad and started the live action Zombieapokalypse. Now Roland has to survive the after release Apokalypse.

Isn’t it more work than it’s worth to be angry for three friggin years over a video game that costs $10 on sale? Don’t do this to yourself.

Its not about the video game.

Its about two things:

passion and getting my point across.

first is something I always had and probably always will have for 7d2d

2nd is a negative characteristic of mine. If I know I have logic on my side, I feel absolute anger if someone tries to justify their point with something else (namely emotions). Or even worse: misrepresent my point.

Yes i should probably let it go for my own sake... but I cant.

And I love how, because I was too lazy to make it fat with code people actually think i was capslocking to scream and not to highlight the point beeing made :D

You start with three rows of 9 slots so that is 27 slots for the math impaired.

Every time you purchase a rank in your Strength attribute it unlocks a slot (or maybe two-- still on vacation so can't check). Thanks to the extra line they put in you can unlock an additional 18 slots for a total of 45 slots once your strength is maxed out.

Ooh... that is so going to ping people's OCD.

People are going to have to save up the points so they can buy an entire row of inventory slots at once, to avoid it being unbalanced and asymmetrical.

(Bonus points if there are an odd number of slots per row and you can only buy them in twos!)

Im just waiting for a player to throw that argument in for real.

"The pimps have no considderation for people with a psychological handicap!"

Happened b4 on other subjects so lets wait on the first :D

I know, right? I enjoy the surprise jet packs! Who needs blimps!

My Tier 6 legendary Laser rifle, appropriately called "Max Paine", is a real treat. Fighting the Spider Queen at Dukes Casino was almost anti climatic however.

So we could end up with 45 slots, 5 rows of 9. Would that be 4 rows of 9 for the backpack and 1 row of 9 for the belt?

or download a backpack expansion mod. the only mod i had in vanila is the double inventory, to enjoy looting.

(fanbois: inventory management, boxes, minibike, travel 2-3 times, yeyeye guys stfu, 1 year+/update i do what i want)

I know you're lying, we ALL know you're lying... :suspicious:

The suspense is, however, now killing me... release the kraken!

You know that feeling when you've ordered something nice, maybe a shiny new 1080ti for example, and you know it's status is 'out for delivery' and all you can do is keep looking out of the window waiting for it to arrive because you can't quite bring yourself to play anything else because it could be here any minute? That's where I am now with A17.

So stop teasing... :p
