I think this is future signs of the origin of the zombie virus....UFOs....😅

Reminds me of the epic trolling Robert Kirkman did in The Walking Dead series. He added a few pages of story in the back of one issue that has Rick waking up on an alien ship and the apoc was a dream. Fooled a lot of people for the first few pages till it became obvious it was a fun joke.

Quick question dont know if its supposed to happen or not so dont wanna report it in bugs. If a new player logs into a server on say day 49 at like 16:00 is it suppose to cancel the 7 day horde for everyone? We had like 4 groups on and noone got the horde. My group took in the newbie assuming that our gamestage would counter his and we'd just get a weaker than normal horde but everyone add reported at most 2 zombies thru the entire night.

Same thing happened to us on day 21 horde. Five of us on in one group, new player joined at 2000. We got 8 zombies then nothing. Had everyone leave, rebooted server then we got 8 more zombies then nothing.

Secret stash!!! An incentive to perk into it...lvl 5.

In previous version of this experimental, in day 3 I had a 4x4 for 54k in the trader. It wasn`t so secret, but was HELL of a tease and, indeed lol.

Offtopic : to me, balance so far is a gem, I love the surprises that I get from anything around (not repetitive like before, big improvement and it is still in a WIP).

It really makes you think of a strategy, to gain and adapt, to be able to survive in a proper way and continue to the next level.

I'm not sure they should even be simply for sale. Traders having all the best things for sale is meh.

I'd rather have demolishers drop quest notes. =P

+1 to this !

Players need MORE encouragement to go outside their comfort zone for any rewards. Trader system is already basically handing out gear with (buried stash) quests that are too easy in respect to their rewards.

If the stick is so short that the donkey can just eat the carrot, what is the point of the stick ? May as well just hand the donkey the carrot without all the hoopla.

Agreed.

I'd even pile on a bit and say the "secret stash" doesn't make sense to me either. If the trader is hiding stuff away he doesn't want to sell it. He can keep it for the next apocalypse for all I care. Either have the stuff available or don't.

Is there a bug right now with landmines that I dont know about? I died twice today because a zombie walked on a land mine and it set off a weird chain reaction that sounded like a 12 landmines. I was inside a large dungeon poe and a zombie walked on a landmine outside and it destroyed a whole side of the building with me inside. It was insane.

Small piles of canned food, ammo etc. popping in to existence when player gets about 2-3 blocks away a graphics card thing, settings thing, world gen thing or ...? I originally thought I had just missed them being there but actually saw them pop into existence a couple times now. I'm the host in a 2-3 player game for what it's worth. Computer has plenty of horsepower, CPU and GPU both, and SSD. Can't think of any reason for late appearance of those particular items...?

occlusion perhaps...just needs better tuning...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yep. That and a couple guys that only play every so often are why we do 120-minute days. Does make the nights seem to take forever though.

I was going to post about some of the MP balance stuff, but I already saw your posts about tweaking it. We just got our 4x4 this morning (Day 24) and our engineer trained for Crucible last night, so tonight I get to go on a looting spree with all that cargo room.

Nice. I found a crucible schematic on day 1 :)

I'm not sure if it's bad RNG or what, but I'm day 15 on 90 minute days and I've yet to see a M60 or shotgun while looting or at the trader. I don't have any points in lucky looter.

Higher tier weapons are found in those super crates at the end of a POI.
