On the other hand, you'll have a lot more fun making your underwater base in A21 with the greater mobility we have in water. I think I'll give an underwater base a go now that I can actually swim down pretty deep and surface again and have it be fun to do.

My non-exploitation corridor killing base, complete with electric fences, dart traps, and 3 shotgun turrets pointing into the kill box.  Even has my traditional fallback position (standing currently).  You can even see the ground repairs I have had to make from exploding cops and demos.  I did give the zombies a chance to get to me, not much of a fighting chance mind you.  Just because some of us are using the extra braincells we have compared to the zombies doesn't mean we are exploiting the game.

doesn't zombie destroy if they spawn from the other side ? because this looks like good if respawn from side

Not sure what you mean, zombies spawn all around the base, but since there are steps (or blocks I should say) going from the ground to the level I am at, they will be drawn into the narrow hallway where the fences and darts will start to thin them out.  And there is no way for them to get to me from the back (behind me) as they need to max out parkour like I am to be able to jump up there.

Friends, who is well versed in how damage works on an electric fence? just as far as I know, in the chain, the last element of the link receives damage. or so it should be. and out of 5 points receive 3 damage. I would be grateful for your help) After work, I'll take off the screen with the problem area)

I don't use them but if you keep that last electric pole near enough to repair then you will be fine for that night.  So I've heard.

here is my problem with the electric fence. 2,3 and 4 take damage. 1 and 5 remain untouched. how to properly arrange the parts so that they can be used and repaired efficiently? and I attach a general view of this part of the base already without a fence. 

I would be very grateful for your help)

You know that only one pole of an electric fence gets damaged when a zombie walks through the fence? Since 4 and 5 are a pair, only one of them will get damage.

It may not be very visible on the screen, but they are all connected in series. The numbers indicate the connection sequence. and only 2, 3 and 4 take damage.

So the end of each wire should take damage when a zombie walks through them (if I understand it correctly).  If they walk between 1&2, 2 takes damage, 2&3 3 takes damage, and so on.  If no damage at 5 then that is probably because no zombies walked between the poles 4&5.

 

Issue with this design though is if any pole in the circuit becomes broken from damage, any poles after that won't get any electricity flowing through them.  So if Pole 3 gets broken, then you won't have any current flowing from poles 2 through 5.

Try connecting 2 -> 5 or 1 -> 5. Then 5 should take the damage.

You will need more posts in similar spots to 5

 

I use multiple rows (about 6) of electric fences across the entrance all 1 block apart (like 2 -> 3 and 1 -> 4 with more in between).

I run them off different switches (3 per switch).

Only the outer most set ON at the start

If / when one set breaks I turn on the next set.

Finish the degree sir, the yet another one, and when you do it, we all will have A21 released, so it all depends on you !

TFP needs to learn to read the room, no infact TFP needs to actually try being in the bloody room.

Dude, you can still play A20 so relax. Remember when you were jonesing for that? Nobody is denying you 7 Days to Die play time. All you do is rag about the changes anyway. I'd think you'd be fine with just sticking to A20....

In fact, you can always go back to every single alpha down to 8.8, by selecting the game properties in Steam and then "betas", just the same as one does to participate in the latest experimental builds over the course of a new alpha.

Just fyi for anybody who is talking about "the good old times when gameplay mechanism XYZ was still there in some previous alpha".

You can still have it.

Of course at the cost of losing mostly all the great improvements that came with the newer alphas...well...cherry pickers... 🙃😛

I'd actually be quite happy to just never play the game again, infact i rarely do play it for fun these days. I make videos on it because I enjoy interacting with the greater community and the sub-community i've built as well as the creator friends i made along the way, but I'm deeply sick of the game itself, i'm infuriated by the awful dev communication and it's honestly just one of the worst choices of my life to stick my youtube flag anywhere near this game and I have been actively trying to expand my channel away from this game to slowly un@%$# that situation. But those pivots and expansions take a long time to stick on youtube, my channel is currently throroughly entrenched in this game and my community actually does want to see A21, and I want them to get what they want.

 

There have been times where i've tried to defend and vouch for TFP and there have been times where I have been rightfully annoyed by TFP.

I found myself being burned time and time again by ever trying to give you all the benefit of the doubt, I.E looking like a tool because you did exactly what all the nay-sayers said you would/what you have been doing.

So all my goodwill is gone. I know you don't care. And I'll tell you another thing, i'm not the only person who hates what you're doing/have done, I'm just one of the few who is stuck with some skin in the game in the form of my youtube channel, a source of secondary income for me, and as a result can't simply walk away from the game. No matter how badly i want to wash my hands of it.
