  1. To answer your question though, I find holding the turrets for firing doesn't have the effectiveness that a placed one does. And I might be wrong but the automatic trigger doesn't add much to a weapon that is already capable of it. 10% I think. The real capstone is double placement. This is especially powerful when you place 2 in multiple positions, and then you move to which positions need the most attention. I've had horde bases where 2 or 3 of my friends were also using double placement, but sometimes we'll place 4 or 6 turrets at any given time. When one turret runs outta ammo, the other will turn on and pick up the slack. Reload the first two while the second are still firing = horde night easy mode.
  2. There are relatively few mods that increase the efficacy of turrets because they are so easily OP. I only use Drum clip and extended barrel mods and you can still wreck a massively oversized horde with the correct placement(s).
  3. I wouldn't assume 100% of the time that a zombie is only interested in biting. Smashing the living with fists like an enraged ape has been added to the genre in several non-Romero themed bits of media ranging from books to films. And although the topic has been discussed, to the best of my knowledge TFP have made no official announcement as to the factual details surrounding the affliction and how the zombie physiology works. Curious Side Note: The biting mechanic is a strange one to me that has been somewhat explained but for which I think clarification is needed. That being: the fact if you perk Brawler 1 and punch a zombie in the face, it looses the ability to transfer the disease. However, zombie combat animations are mostly flappy arms and throwing hands. I've personally shredded a high health zombie into nothing but a torso and head, and somehow it still possessed the ability to move extremely slowly and bite. However, the bite animation seems to be very very subtle to near not-noticeable. I wonder if that was intended? I'm certain someone a little more familiar with inside information might be able to offer up some clarification on that.
  4. Question for you Why are you Sniping from an unsecured position?
  5. First of all, welcome to the forums. Secondly, what you are suggesting has been talked about at length many times here. It had been determined mostly that end game is what you define it to be with the game being in its current state. Lastly, I might direct you to the Darkness Falls mod, in our modding community, which has many features that are in the arena you are looking for. I've not played it myself, but its in the top 3 most popular overhaul mods presently still in development.
  6. I'm rather fond of the body cleanup detail. They are fast, discreet, and I've never actually seen them work. 10/10 Would recommend to a friend.
  7. As someone who originally hails from Detroit MI, you'll end up on the FBI watchlist if you know anything. 😛
  8. Too late for what, exactly? Nothing is set in stone at this point, and rarely has it ever been. So I more or less come from the arena of 'if it aint broke, don't fix it.' Making a quick judgement based upon the hypothetical particulars just seems premature to me at this point, without actually having seen how the chips fall in the practical sense. It's okay to have opinions on stuff, but for me the jury is still out.
  9. Looks like there's still some work to be done on it, but for the VR folks in the house I'm rather excited for them!
  10. I got to admit. The first minute of this vid, I wasn't sure if you were making some sort of tall boast about your combat capability while whiffin' it here and there. But by about 3 minutes in, you were rockin' it. Nicely done.
  11. This. So very much this. The older I get more I realize just how little spoons I have for games that just aren't doing it for me. I think the best examples of this were Shadowrun: Boston Lockdown, Mad Max Fury Road, and Outlaws of the OId West. I really wanted to love these games but ultimately I had to let them go. Eventually other games filled these holes and some of them were absolutely worth waiting for. Esp, Shadowrun. Up until SR: Returns there had been NO good IP's on that name since the old console editions from the early 90's. I rather admire the fact that TFP have put this much muscle into their game. I feel the same about Terraria and No Man's Sky. It's okay to put games down for a bit, and doubly so if you are finding your arse getting chapped up pretty hard. You know what game I am enjoying the hell out of at the moment? I swear to you this isn't a joke but I waited 5 years for Fallout 76 to be in decent enough shape to spend 10 bucks on it, and I'm having a blast.
  12. It's very popular these days, thanks to certain social media influencers. 😛
  13. Ahh, now we see the arrogance and the entitlement. You not only wanna just make wild inflammatory comments towards the devs and other forumgoers, you also want to demand control on how they respond to you? Good luck with that! And, in case it's totally slipped your mind, some of the folks more nicer than myself HAVE been trying to help you, and here you are responding pretty much to mostly me. So.. all that Mad got you what, exactly? How is that working out for you? Here is the help you actually need: A forum discussion is not a one way thing, and no one owes you the sort of expectations you have demanded. There are actual living people from all over world that frequent this forum that have a multitude of experiences both similar and not-similar to yours, with much more experience than you. However, if you want to be treated like a mature adult you should definitely try that route first before posting like you did. I guarantee you will get not only much further with 7 Days to Die discussions, but life in general. And lastly, speaking about the worth of my comments being zero, you sure do seem to respond to them quite a bit. I'd go so far to ask you which is it really, but I am getting the notion that if this is how you treat people IRL, it wont surprise me in the least that you likely have similar difficulties in other spaces.
  14. Ouch. lol daaaamn that's a rough start. I think my worst start was the first night of alpha 17 drop. I had converted a remote cabin in forest biome and I was crafting in the wee hours of late night. Without warning, my little space had been bum rushed by a large number of Big Mommas and they smashed open my front door within two seconds. They streamed in growling and there was just an ocean of them. I remember being in discord with a buddy of mine and the jumpscare was so powerful I scared my buddy too when i let out a loud string of expletives followed "OH DEAR GODS HELP ME IM IN THE ROTTING HELL OF SOILED BLOOMERS" I... somehow, managed to jump to safety and cut a hole in the roof of my tin foil fortress and escaped but the shack was just wrecked.
  15. Let's not forget the energy you brought with you. I have this knee-jerk tendency to return that kinda thing back to sender. I mean so far its been formulaic that you have pointed fingers at everyone else, even going so far to do it again when responding to me. Rest assured, if the whole world smells like dookie to you, its prolly time to check your shoes. But do go on about how the ills of your experiences are totally everyone else's fault.
  16. Hell has truly frozen over. Something that both myself and Scryris actually agree upon.
  17. This might seem cheaty to some, because I cook professionally for a living. And the days I'm burnt out on cooking I eat garbage like everyone else. So.. maybe?
  18. Or I dunno maybe you just mad because you like being mad. I mean, this is a lot of leaky eyes for someone who hasn't actually brought anything to the table other than. Every response you've laid down is just more of how the devs hurt you.
  19. You know.. I understand people can be really passionate about the games they enjoy. But, yeah...
  20. I might be a little late to this party, but after reading your entire backlog I'm getting a massive whiff of the Dunning-Kruger Effect all over you.
