  1. I read this twice and its a bit of a word salad for me to understand, but I'll try my best to respond to what I think is the spirit of your concern: if you're saying that your experience hasn't made you better at this game, I'm going to call you out on that. The foundation of human intuition (and incidentally, progression) is based in pattern recognition, even as newborns. If the RNG is the same across the board, then everyone has the same opportunities/chances. That's the nature of RNG. It can make things tougher or easier, but to rail against that is like blaming the universe for your own misfortune. Misfortune is one of the many intricacies that defines a survival experience. The comparison of the current state of the game versus older version seems to be a pretty flat argument. Those older versions were not as polished and likely had different goals in mind. Similarly (if I read this right) comparison includes the state of other games in relation to this one. Projecting your woes upon this game because it hasn't met the same standards you find agreeable in other games or older versions - that's not something that a developer should ever waste their time worrying about. You also have the ability on your own to set certain bars that are linked to a more difficult experience. Have you attempted to play with the settings to trim what sort of experience you're making for yourself?
  2. By the earliest moment you get all the mats to make them, chances are that you may not even have ammo for them. Also, if you're a spray and pray kinda person.. the pipe MG rips through your ammo stock pretty fast. And empty gun is worthless in this game. That seems moderately balanced to me.
  3. This can be a cheeky and often selfish argument to make. You might realize that sometimes parts of the game are easy, not because every nuance of it has been made to be difficult by TFP, but because you - as an experienced player in 7D2D - know how to make things easier on yourself. That's not a flaw in a game's design. A lot of people seriously overlook the fact that their own presence can change things. Newer players and players with less experience in managing their play and game will not have the same argument. People still struggle, and I've personally watched streams of people who clearly have very little knowledge and experience maximizing their own output.
  4. Will everyone who accepts this new lore please raise your hand?
  5. Valheim has a workable concept of a sleep cycle and while it's not perfect, it's the best thing I can fathom yet. Putting that in 7Days would be nice, but I'm not counting on it being a reality. Maybe in a single player game.
  6. And then ARK:Survival comes around and makes this dream a reality for everyone.
  7. Remember when: 1. It would take over and hour and a half to loot and get rid of gore blocks after a decently sized horde night. 2. Finding the minibikes for dumb@%$#s was the absolute peak looting experience. 3. Finding entire cities made up of cell towers POI's. 4. Spending a whole day making RWG maps but barely ever finding any I'd actually like. 5. Random hordes were actually scary. 6. Farming required poop, nitrates, and a garden hoe. 7. That first time you found the native settlement in the canyon in Navezgane, and then was disappointed after ten steps in that it looked like an unfinished hollywood set? 8. Zombies could stomp out your crops. 9. Winding underground cave complexes, and Taza's Axe? 10. The old scrubby plains biome was literally the worst. Bonus Content Feature: My favourite bug of all time was when Grace and the Vulture spawns were cross bugged and you could see a large number of Graces sitting on rooftops waiting to drop on you from above? I still have nightmares about that one.
  8. You have the option to make another thread about those things.
  9. It is pretty hideous looking. Another reason why I tend to use the reflex sight and not much else.
  10. I hate them so much that I'd rather bare knuckle on dog packs than fight a single vulture in a similar scenario. But, then there are times when I'm facing down 4 or 5 as im driving through an area and I kick off my bike just long enough to bullethose all of them out of spite. I do treasure those moments.
  11. Interesting idea. A few months back my friends and I were such high levels that we decided it might be neat to do our massive high gamestage horde fights in random POI's.. most of which were basically ruins or made of wood. We were even throwing around dynamite and using rocket launchers gratuitously. lol One of the times we even gave ourselves 20 minutes to make a base out of it using only what resources we could scavenge from the inside. We left a lot of smoking craters behind. lol Wild times.
  12. I wonder if this has anything to do with the land claim block and improper teaming/ally settings.
  13. Not sure what you mean by that. But I hope to address the time setting specifically and maybe what it can potentially mean: 1. Time is a strange thing and is one of the big balancing factors when determining what sort of game you intend to play. 2. Fast days can be great if all you're doing is looting/shooting/scavenging and you want a permadeath solution. Fast fights, fast looting, fast to horde night, etc etc. Great if you just want to kill time for an hour perhaps. 3. Longer days are great if you like to take your time, level up well, play with a friend, etc like a sandbox type scenario. Dying just sets you back a bit and you dust off and try again. 4. If you change time settings, you might also want to look into how that affects how fast you might level and proliferate. Increasing/Reducing your resource and XP gain can be an issue when deciding how smooth you want your experience to be. 5. Building can also be quick and dirty, versus well thought out trap/turret/killing field bases. You may want to decide your own level of involvement accordingly.
  14. *flicks cigarette and crushes it under a boot*
  15. I think riding the back of a Kaiju though Navesgane while firing quad missile turrets sounds like it's a fun idea as well, but its nothing I'd ever want actually implemented. There's nothing wrong with your opinion, but I forsee it adding a jumble of problems without actually adding anything other than the fun factor.
  16. Ah, this old gag. Listen man, if you have to say stuff like that where the rest of the world is against you and needs to change, maybe the world isn't the problem.
  17. Can confirm. Book shelves in t4-t5 POI's is where about it picks up a bit. But mostly? Check your mailboxes AND the newspaper boxes.
  18. As much as I love immersion, I am going to go with Boidster on this. You can accomplish the same thing on a stationary system of mounted turrets, so you'll at least have that.
  19. There is a chance they can still hear you IIRC. And then when she summons the horde they port right to your location. If there's only a tunnel for them to fit into, that's how they pile up.
  20. Definitely can not confirm. We have 8 Forges, 5 Chem stations, 4 cement mixers, and roughly 10 workbenches. We lost all our powered stuff due to a bug in upgrading to the latest build but I don't think plays much of a role in heat last I understood. The amount of screamers I get even when logged in on my own was pretty ridiculous.
