  1. Can confirm. I'm loosing valuable sleep time over this gem.
  2. Have you considered the efficacy of crafting arrows and going ranged, instead of risking infection and wasting your day looking for a cure?
  3. Not many would understand this obscure reference outside of Canada or Michigan lol
  4. Im perked all the way into it on my current game, and I see no real difference. I'm currently perked similarly and I can tell you that the difference in what food items you are consuming and how hard you drive that hunger meter can play a crucial role in how that plays out.
  5. Bethesda games should never be looked at uncritically. That being said, Bethesda has always made their worlds to be virtual playgrounds for modders. I hope yall get what you need from that, at least. As for me - I have so many reservations about Starfield I have no reason to ever purchase it.
  6. I remember so many times previously to this alpha I would run to the laundromat so I could do just that very thing.
  7. Last I checked you could still drink from them. Or were you thinking something else?
  8. You know what's really funny? We have dew collectors but not rain collectors. It takes 30 seconds to mod the trapping material to make that happen. Missed opportunity right there I think.
  9. At low levels I can tell no difference between an infestation mission and a regular sweep mission, just the extra case of loot.
  10. I'm not prepared to be digustipated by another thread about this very topic. There are places for that kinda stuff all over the web. There is no need to bring this fetishizing back here.
  11. I'm still not a fan of the massive frequency of zombies stuffed into packages, cracks, crannies, and ductwork. I can be okay with the first few times its happens, but then it just gets corny and overused. Especially when you've done the POI enough to expect this. While it makes for an interesting first time play through, it gets REALLY old and even kinda ridiculous. It's a thing I can live with, but its never going to be something i'll enjoy.
  12. Gunpowder crafting times are even more awfully balanced when you line it up against how maps have their daytime values set. If you're running 30 minute days versus 2 hours.. its a thing im not fond of. If you're with a group and you gotta ration out the GP, then suddenly it becomes a pretty intensely used commodity. It's easy to harvest, but it gets kinda crazy when you gotta process it. If your base cannot accommodate 8 chemi stations, well... yeah its a lot of feelbad.
  13. It absolutely blows my mind how popular its become to light one's self on fire so they can call foul on everyone else.
  14. I do. At some point inventory space even in vanilla becomes a non-issue. I am blessed with having two of my buddies I play 7Days with are part of Goon Swarm in Eve Online. They do not suffer having a lack of inventory space long, and whenever anything that buffs inventory space comes around they make sure the rest of us have what we need.
  15. No hay mucha información sobre Starlink y cómo puede funcionar en relación con 7D2D. Es posible... que esté atascado hasta que pueda proporcionar algo más.
  16. I've done no hard testing, so I'm only going to share my experience here, give or take. I recall in the past this happened to a few streamers in previous alphas. Not sure if its still a thing but it seems likely that it remains a bit of a conundrum. I recall the discussion going to the tune of the horde night will empty out the entire chunk, effectively clearing sleeper volumes for the duration of horde night. The zed horde will spawn on the ground and then make an attempt to climb up the high rise and come after you. However, if you go high enough, that REALLY bugs out as the distance between yourself and the spawn zone are too far apart to allow the game to engage the event itself. It is a limitation of the world environment code, I think. Don't hold me to it as fact, but that is my best guess.
  17. I've never used backpack mods. Don't really have much interest in them.
  18. I already keep one stack of gas and always one backup vehicle. If I run outta gas I fill er up, as is logical. But I suppose I should have clarified that I also keep the backup vehicle moreso in case of the first breaking down, or I'm driving through territory it would behoove me to slow down and be more careful.
  19. Again, I think you're making a lot of assumptions here: The first is that you think you have a clear understanding of what intended gameplay is. You have gleaned this through your experience, which is essentially how you define whats intended for yourself but it lacks outside perspective. You've boiled down what you think is intended gameplay, but in my experience is that traders are a tool, and might be esseential for certain things (getting dukes and some resources quickly) but traders ignore the fact that if you need specific things then you go after specific POIs, none of which need a trader pointing a finger at it to make it viable. If you need food and water? Hit up a restaurant, a hotel, a house even?! Its in the cupboards, sinks, ovens, and drink machines. If you need weapons and ammo? Hit up a shotgun messiah or any POI that might have housed a survivor population. If you need seeds and veggies? There are farm and granary POIs. Why not hit those? Gas? Easy peasy, there are gas stations all over the map! Car parts are everywhere! Need big guns? We have military bases! GO GO GO! You're literally swimming in resources that are just waiting for you to show up and loot them. I don't understand this deep reliance upon one single aspect of the game whereas you have up to 10k maps where there are towns that do not even have the benefit of having a trader within its borders. See, people are confusing what is easy over what is worthwhile. The trader is certainly a thing, but if you let that one thing define your every move then the problem isn't the trader itself, its whomever decided that they need a trader to hold their hand and point out an uncertain path when there are others available is exactly what I'm saying. You don't have to do the quests. You're missing the forest for the trees. And the devs saying that the Traders becoming more essential was left without much context. For all we know the best guess is that this is about lore and progression versus the Duke himself. Nothing fills a void like speculation, and this is exactly what I am reading not just from your post, but many many others. The truth is inside the heads of the developers and sadly.. not many here are in the actual facts of the development philosophy of the game, and those that DO know can only share what's been cleared for sharing. So yeah, that IS my answer to you. You might go and pretend you're stuck in the Matrix shackled to Trader Jen and her snake oil hype, and then bemoan how restricted you are, but I'm not. I'm going to echo these wise words right here: And if you're still stuck running on empty for anything you need, the best advice I ever gave anyone is PLAY WITH YOUR SETTINGS. You'd be surprised how noticeable certain things are if you just make an attempt at it. It's not cheating to trim the settings. I find it absolutely vital in the decision to live lean and constantly starving to 'Okay, I can eventually overcome this now.' You'll get so much farther if you're more critical about your approach and attitude, and less just complaining about how everything else is just so broken and ruined to the point of victimhood. So how can you just sell the rest of us how it really is, when there's years of evidence not just in how the game has come along, but in the hundreds of people that are also sharing their experiences and methodologies over those time periods? How do you reconcile these two things?
  20. I actually removed my supercharger from my motorcycle with my current outpost being in the wasteland. I refuse to use the 4x4 while I'm there, and if I am being quite honest... the minibike is starting to look more and more versatile to me, if it weren't for the difference in inventory space. I tend to keep a mini in the trunk anyway, because its a good backup if you EDIT: riggity wreck yourself.
  21. I had a feeling these posters were actual people involved in the process, but now that this is a known thing, its even more baller.
  22. I'd like to see evidence of this. Do you have any screenshots?
