  1. You have some mods installed. Has the server exactly the same mods installed? If not, that may be your problem. If not, there could be a bug in any of those mods or more likely an incompatibility. Since I (and probably anyone else here who might want to try to help) does not play with exactly the same mods, I (and everyone else) have no way to pin down the exact issue. The logfile at least seems to show no obvious error messages. And I haven't heard of your problem ever showing up in vanilla. Did you install or remove any mods while already playing this specific savegame? If yes, congratulation, that is a recipe for disaster. Generally, check that all mods are updated for the version of game you are playing (I see that super glasses is definitely not the right version). Let your friend start a new game with half the mods turned off and check if the problem reappears (though it seems it isn't easy to check since your problem seems to have turned up very late in your game).
  2. Are you blocking internet traffic to epic servers? Could you post the complete log, please? You can use pastebin like explained in a pinned thread here in general support
  3. I agree that the program folder should not need turning off anti-virus check (not sure if it still needs that after world generation was moved out of it long ago). Making an exception for the save game folder may be hard to avoid though since writing to the save game can randomly create virus signatures. Epic by the way is needed for two reasons: One is EAC, the other is that the id system was changed from steam-based to epic-based because only the epic-system works on consoles as well.
  4. I think I remember there was a change. There are changelogs for every version here in the forum in announcements. Just search for twitch in them and you know exactly what has changed
  5. By coincidence we visited the jail as well on saturday, with infestation and in the wasteland. It was glorious. But I hope there will only be very few POIs of this design. It should be special and when someone wants a blood bath he knows where to get it. But if every high-tier POI had this, just a succession of waves of zombies, this would get stale very fast.
  6. ... and the max number per player is 8. Unless they can make sure that a wandering horde is only showing up for one player at a time that limit would count for them as well. TFP posted an idea about an event system 1-2 years ago that they wanted to implement if time permits, it would be interesting to know where it is in their current priority list. That would have permitted them to surprise one player with a much larger list of zombies while the other players would have seen almost none at that moment. Though the difficulty would have been what to do if one starts a quest a few seconds later, for example in the prison.
  7. Your logfile is unreadable since all lines are concatenated to a single line. Generally, if suddenly null-refs appear, I would advise to stop the game, make a backup of the savegame and then start up again. If no further null-refs appear the damage was probably confined to memory and not saved to disk. If it reappears, then a check of the logfile is necessary to find out which part of the savegame was damaged and whether it can be repaired.
  8. I agree with Riamus, could simply be the difficulty to actually hit with primitive bow even at middle distances, because of mediocre range, the need to aim above the zombie the farther he is out and the aim circle. Not only that, but with almost any other weapon you can be sure to hit the zombie if the aim circle is fully filled with the zombie, but due to having to aim higher even that rule is not true. Using a primitive bow is not at all easy. If that is not it, maybe a lot of packets on your internet connection get lost on a router inbetween, but since you don't have that problem with other games I doubt this could be the reason.
  9. I am not a hardcore survivalist player either. I played "Don't starve" about 2 hours until I had enough of the constant food and wood scrounging. Except for valheim and 7D2D and the 2 hours of DS I haven't played any survival game at all. But when I have to drink in the game anyway then I want it to have some gameplay value.
  10. To be fair, it was a rethorical question. Though mentioning day 29 which is far out of any range where TFP probably wants water to be a problem seems to indicate that he has wrong expectations.
  11. "... for a veteran (SP) player". I am sure you wanted to say this really, right? 😉 Novices and co-op players actually have a problem for some time. I am playing with 3 others and we got enough water to be a non-issue after we bought about 12 filters. The starting trader usually has 3 in the first 3 days and a random amount after that.
  12. Im single player rufst du mit F1 die console auf, gibts dort "cm" ein. Mit ESC wieder raus und dann die Menueleiste oben aufrufen, ganz rechts erscheint ein neues Icon
  13. There is a logs directory inside the Steam dir. Check the content_log.txt file to determine what it downloads and where to: Search for all lines with "updated" in it. The last line in my case was [2023-08-10 20:25:50] AppID 294420 starting commit from "/home/days/clean/steamapps/downloading/294420" to "/home/days/clean" : 12 updated, 0 moved, 0 deleted files It shows you where it downloads to (in my case I changed it to a directory "/home/days/clean") and when (in my case I updated 2 days ago to the last experimental). Compare to your expectations.
  14. Did you compare the workbench with the chemstation in XML? One is without, the other with fuel. The necessary changes should be visible.
  15. Nein, das Zeug ist weg. Eigentlich sollte das Hinlegen einer bedroll oder eines land claim blocks in deine Basis das verhindern oder zumindest eine Warnung anzeigen. Falls du kein Backup hast, kannst du zumindest deine Items per creative menue wiederkriegen.
  16. Also blocks in POI's could be effectively wood blocks but look like brick. Just hit the wall with a stone axe and check the block hitpoints.
  17. Base velocity is determined by arrow type, but the bow itself gets a random modifier on it, just like with a few other stats like damage. Should you find another lvl5 quality bow be sure to compare them (by selecting one and hovering over the other).
  18. Just use "app_update 294420" and you will get A21.1 stable. "-beta latest_experimental" should do as well (which is the usual line for getting experimental, where did you get the info you should use "-unstable" from) ? Just checked myself, both lines above lead to A21.1 on my server.
  19. I assume this is probably just an unintended consequence of dabbling with the loot tables. If you remove lots of items from some loot table or make items drop less often then other items necessarily drop more often. Probably they could have saved themselves a lot of balancing time if they had programmed a statistical tool to analyse actual drop amounts for typical plays early in development (which is a lot easier to see in hindsight). Then they could have "fixed" certain drop amounts (for food for example) once they are satisfied with their balance.
  20. The error message has hundreds of possible causes. Without posting your logfile in a new thread (maybe first in the "general support" section instead of the bug report section) nobody can help you
  21. Your "only" way may be the more fun way, but on the internet it simply does not work. Because psychologically it is far easier for the flamed person to blame the flamer for being a "rude idiot" than to look for the fault in his own post. You can't self-reflect if you are angry about some other person
  22. Are you sure the mod didn't change the harvest drop chance of electrical parts as well?
  23. @YourMirror: Is aggressive without passive like you seem to do any better? @Scrubo: Lines in the fixed section often describes how stuff is wrong currently and seldomly how it gets changed. I.e. it often tells the "before" state and not the "after" state. Also the lines are just extracted titles from their internal versioning system and often are cryptic because they are not really written with external readers in mind. So it isn't always clear what is meant. "needs" seems to point to the latter interpretation but on the other hand I don't see why they should do something like that without a very compelling reason. it would make sense first to ask what that means and why, or first try it out on a test game before making any conclusions.
  24. Did you really test this on a MP server or did you only see this restriction in your game UI? On servers a file called serverconfig.xml handles those settings and while I haven't tested it the setting seems to be unrestricted (i.e. the comment on that option just says "How often airdrop occur in game-hours, 0 == never").
