  1. Okay so im not sure if this the right place to post this but oh well. So ever since i started using my 3080 on this game, my gpu usage never surpasses 50-60%. Of course resulting in lower performance. Ive done countless things to try to fix this. Making my PCs power “high performance” both in windows settings and nvidia control panel. I went through many settings changes with nvidia support and they were not very helpful. Ive reinstalled windows, updated my bios, reseated the gpu and nothing has worked. Even at the lowest possible settings in game, on 1080p i get about 100fps. I normally play 1440p. Not sure if this game is just not optimized for the FE because other people seem to be getting great FPS on this game with other 3080s. i get great performance of any other game. Any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance. My Specs - MSI MPG X570 Gaming edge Wifi - Ryzen 7 3700x @ 3.6ghz - RTX 3080 FE - 16gb Corsair vengeance rgb pro 3200mhz - Game is on a 2tb SSD Id also like to say that i do not believe this is a CPU bottleneck. I see other benchmarks online with the same CPU that do just fine. And is it also possible that my system being AMD is the problem??
  2. Just started a fresh 8k modded map, on day 22 or 23. Modded POI's, weapons, vehicles, overhauled farming, and some other things, but not overboard. Just game enhancements I wanted some more vehicle options, firearms and POI's so that's most of what's on the server as far as mods go. With this modlet series my goal is to give the entire 7DTD user interface an extreme makeover and refashion it into how I believe the user interface for the game should be experienced. The mod consists of several modlets which can be broken down into three separate mods. These are all stand alone and can be used alone or, as is the intention, together with the other two. SMXui is an extension of SMXhud and SMXmenu and will bring the art style over to the rest of the user interface. I've tried to maintain as close a relation to the vanilla interface as possible but I have also granted myself some artistic freedom when it comes to some areas. It deviates from vanilla with the fifth crafting queue slot which I added to make it fit the overall design better. The other changes I made are all optional like the third forge slot and the 63, 99 and 110 slot big bag conversion modlets for those that want a bit bigger bags. SMXui - The forge with the third forge slot enabled. (Install optional modlet ZMXuiCPTFS to get the third forge slot and ZMXuiCPBBM to get the bigger backpack) SMXui - Totally reworked skills windows. The goal was to make it look like a talent screen. SMXui - Trader Window. // Download Locations... SMX modlets can be downloaded from NexusMods, Github or via the Mod Launcher. Click the appropriate icon below to start a download from your favorite source or use the 7 Days to Die Mod Launcher by SphereII to install the SMX modlets on your system. // THE MAIN MODLETS // // THE OPTIONAL MODLETS // // Installation and removal procedures... Download the modlet from one of the locations below. Decompress the modlet using WinRAR or a compatible archiver. Copy or move the Mods folder into your 7 Days to Die installation folder. Overwrite if prompted. Verify the install by checking that the ModInfo.xml file is located in this hierarchy: "\Mods\modletname\ModInfo.xml" Remove by deleting the modlet folder in question inside the Mods folder. // Support SMX Development...   4. This may just be my vision, they may not be realized! I found in the server that they started some unnecessary programs, such as the loading of the unity model. As the server, these files should not be loaded to occupy the performance of the server. They can be completely empty, smaller models to replace or not start, because the server and the client are two concepts, the client is based on the PC display requirements to start the unity model to drive the perspective, while the server only needs one Quick storage and judgment function is enough. I can hardly imagine the role of those models if the server starts. The current server is equivalent to a client that starts a multiplayer connection. They perform server-side functions in a non-professional nature, so do I think it is reasonable? I will clean up unnecessary unity models in the near future, let smaller empty models start them instead, and then see the effect!   5. Does anyone know how to disable the ability to use the dm and cm commands within the console on yourself in a single player game? I don't have the will power to ignore how easy it is to enable and just wreck the whole reason I'm playing. Why spend 15-20mins digging out the ground to make an underground base when I can just enable the creative menu then grab the super digger and then be done in less than 5. Then it doesn't stop there. I've tried editing the serveradmin xml file but to no avail. I've also went through the console and removed myself from the admin list and the cm and dm commands still work. The game seems to consider myself an admin no matter what I do. Any help or suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

When I created my world I chose a small map size thinking it would be enough exploration for me and my friends but we're on day 64 now and we explored all of it, we all would want a bigger map but we don't wanna lose all our progress with our characters and base, so does anyone know if there is a way to increase the size of the current map without having to restart the world/lose everything?
  7. Hey, I understand that there are other things that will take priority. But, I'm a builder and decorator in this game. I was wondering if it would be possible to have beds function like bedrolls? I'm tired of having a beautiful bed, with a bedroll laying next to it. It's something that has always bothered me as other survival games allow it. I love this game, I just want to have a nice comfy bed to wake up on!
  8. Hi, I have a bit of a weird question, bear with me please ❤️ Me and my boyfriend have our own server that I started, friends + 2p only, so only we two can enter. Since he can activate debug/creative menu I assume he got admin rights (can't remember if I somehow gave that to him or not). We LOVE to build, but he likes to stay awake longer at night than me, but can't be in the server since he gets kicked out when I leave. Is there a way for him to: 1. Login/stay in our server without me ( I assume this is impossible since I'm the host) 2. Shutdown the server on his command. As in, I stay in the game, hidden somewhere safe. He keeps building. When he decides to go to bed, can he kick us both out of the game ( so the time doesn't continue to tick/ I get killed while afk for a whole irl night)? Odd question I know. And yes he should probably have been the host, but my PC and internet is way better, so we thought that would be to our benefit since him hosting has not really worked out earlier.   10. Hey fellow 7 day'rs. Iam 45 yr old gamer guy of over 1000 hrs on PC and over 2500hrs on the ps4. Iam also a Canuck on EST time. I play on steam or modded through the Launcher. Iam looking for ppl to join up in on playing multiplayer server, or whatever?, Playing single is still fun but I feel that theres alot more fun to be had playing this game that I love. Ztensity's Functional Elevator Redesigning Guppycur's Elevator for A19.3 (Permission Granted by Guppycur) Assets Purchased For Release INTRODUCTION Originally designed for Alpha 18 with compatibility for Alpha 17 by Guppycur, his Working Elevator modlet now gets its next iteration for the latest build of 7 Days to Die, A19. Similarly to the original mod, this elevator only moves from one floor to the next across roughly 2 flights, while also taking up 3 blocks wide, 7 blocks high and 3 blocks deep (x,y,z). This version of the elevator contains the following tweaks & new features: Tweaked animations that not only allow for more time to enter/exit the elevator, but will also be closed and on the bottom floor when placed. There are also new sound effects and visual effects embedded into the animations for added immersion. The elevator has added colliders for simplicity and better immersion, while also being slightly thinned for better spacing around blocks and plates. There is now an official recipe with resource requirements for crafting the elevator at the workbench alongside the ability to get a portion of resources back when using a wrench to destroy the elevator. Added an official title and description for the elevator, while removing select, unneeded files for a smaller download. By adding colliders and thinning out the elevator, this not only makes it so the player does not have to worry about building right next to the elevator, but it also prevents the player from accidentally falling out of the elevator while in use or while in the elevator. REQUIREMENTS As detailed by Guppycur, the shaft requirements are actually 10 blocks high (including floor and ceiling), 5 blocks wide (1 and 5 are the left right walls) and 5 blocks deep (1 and 5 are the front/rear walls). Think about it like x,y,z. This will be made even easier if the elevator is just placed first and then you build around it. For building purposes, use the horizontal plates (concrete or otherwise) and select advanced rotations. Then rotate the plate so it's against a block. Use these plates with standard sized 1x1x1 blocks to build the shaft for the elevator. Finally, just as the original version, if a player is still using Alpha 17, Alpha 18 or earlier versions of Alpha 19, this should still be compatible with those versions. However, this modlet has been designed for compatibility with 7 Days to Die's latest stable, which is currently Alpha 19.3b6. FUTURE UPDATES In the coming weeks to months, I may expand on this modlet as a series of "rising devices" as suggested by Guppycur himself. The next update I'd likely implement however, would be adding in a similar elevator that will take you up three flights or higher. My ideas for the future would be focused on hotel POIs, so players could even make a massive hotel a home using devices like elevators, escalators and so on. CREDITS All assets used come from a purchased package from Nifty Studios via Unity. On the other hand, a portion of the animations designed and layout of the elevators was put together by Guppycur when he originally bought the assets for A18. Not only did I get permission to rework and re-release Guppycur's work on animations and the elevator layout from Guppycur himself, but I made sure to purchase those same assets again myself for rights to share this modlet on Nexus Mods, the 7 Days to Die Forums and the 7 Days to Die Mod Launcher here.   13. I like the music in 7 Days To Die. The problem is that I don't always want to go into the game just for the music. There is music from the game on YouTube, but not all of it, unfortunately. I want to record it, but I don't know how to do it without the other sounds. Is it possible to somehow turn off all the sounds and leave only the music? After all, it cannot be "pulled out" from the game files - the engine makes it out of small fragments on the go. @faatal, is there any way to solve this problem? ( Or just tell me who to contact with this question ).

  15. So, For a while now i have been having issues logging into and server in the game. IT would normally take me several tries before I could get in due to errors.   16. When i play with my friend i have much lags, he have it too when he play on my server. We reinstalled game, deleted all mods and nothing happened. We don't know what we should do. Perhaps this happened due to the fact that we installed the mod on the interface, but first game was normal, and after that it just began to lag a lot. I and my friend have lisence.

  18. I was playing a multiplayer game that my friend was hosting. We don't have any mods. The frozen lumberjack zombies showed up in the desert. A bunch of them. We decided to try a new game that I started. Again, no mods. I was started in the lush area with trees by the house that's near the snow biome. He was sent to start out in the fire biome. Masses of zombies went after him right away. Dogs, dire wolves, bears, and lots of zombies all within a few minutes of starting. I went into the nearby house and did the initial quests up to the point where I had to go to the trader. I decided to wait for the next day and was chilling in the upstairs room when all of a sudden a frozen lumberjack zombie came crashing into the house after me. I had never seen a frozen lumberjack around the forested biome before. The difficulty settings were adventurer. I don't know if that makes a difference, but we've never seen the frozen big guy outside of the snow biome before.

  21. I hope this is the right place to post this, I've never posted to this forum yet. I recently got a new computer and I've been trying to transfer my 7 days to die save file so I can play. I've transferred the game and all my saves but every time I try to play it it tells me mods that have been installed cannot be found and it won't let me play those maps. The only mod I added was one to give me a 96 lot backpack and that's it, I have the mod installed. I've even copied it for my old computer and I've re downloaded it and added it and it still won't let me play my map. Does anybody have an idea of why this keeps happening? Should I just give up on that save and start again? For transferring the game I've been trying it with a flash drive. I have just straight up copy and paste from my steamapps folder and I've also done a backup of my game and transferred it that way with the same result, the game tells me it can't play my save due to missing mods (the mod I have made sure to transfer every time).
  22. Hi all, I posted this on Reddit and some suggested that I post here - here's the text of my original request, and if anyone can help (or can confirm this can't be done) I'd be really grateful. I'm hoping that someone with more knowledge might be able to help with removing some sound effects which are driving me mad. There was a previous thread where this was discussed which unfortunately I can't find - the 'scary' sound effects at night are just repetitive and annoying and I would like to replace them with silence so I can just hear the ambient environment sounds and zombies. But I can also now hear piano notes during the day. I don't know whether this is new, but there is one which sounds a bit like the start of a tannoy announcement, a discordant one, and a third I can't remember off the top of my head. To begin with I thought I was going mad, or there was some sound in a POI I didn't know about, but I think it might be the equivalent of the 'scary' night sounds just during the day. I don't mind some of the 'low rumbling' kind of sounds which are designed to put you on edge, but the really obvious sounds which have no relevance to anything get on my nerves for the wrong reasons. If anyone has any ideas, or there is a mod, I would be really grateful! (Also, if I am imagining those piano notes, someone should probably tell me :D)
  23. I found a bug with the solar banks when I was in a Server. If you have solar panels in your solar bank and the lights or what ever your powering is too many wats for the solar panel it will cause Lag and lower your fps. I don't think this happens with every power bank. And Maybe it's just my side.

Good Morning everyone (sorry for my english i'm french) I'm here because i want build a city under the water in pregen3 ( like rapture in Bioshock ) i wanna make a lot of building and area full of zombie, the player should clean if he want stuff and safe zone (and of course this should be only "world edit", like this i can share when the city is over) but... I got a lot of trouble making this town, i try Creative mod on the world but i can't build a city like this: every time i go away all building not saved are gone (and the save is only for one spot so i can't build a true city ) i guess i can't build this city with this way. Next i try build in prefabs mod but, when i go back in pregen3 and try put one building under the water, every time the tools is broken and turn all my building into a water... then i can't use this way too .... can someone help me ? it been 7hours i try start this city...
  25. Summary: Was playing on a dedicated server one of my friends set up on and off for several weeks. The last time I was able to get on, both me and my brother who were connected to the server had a strange issue where our pings started skyrocketing to 20,000-30,000. When we disconnected and tried reconnecting, we were met with a nullreferenceexception error that appeared when we tried to join the server after connected (hence getting stuck on the "creating player" screen). No players I know of other than me and my brother are having this issue with this server. Yes (on my end) Did you start a new game? All of my current saves and all other servers I've tried joining have worked fine. Did you validate your files? Yes Are you using any mods? No EAC on or off? On Status: NEW Detailed steps to reproduce the bug: Unsure Solutions attempted: Complete reinstall of my client, including uninstalling EAC and wiping registry entries for the game before reinstall. Backing up and deleting folders/files related to 7days in appdata before reinstall. Server owner deleting the .ttp and .ttp.bak files for my steam ID/character in the server's player folder (same error even after doing that). Other things of note: I don't have any problems when trying to connect to other players' servers after the error appeared for this one server. I've successfully connected to the server from my household using a relative's steam account (though both me and my brother's steam accounts generate the error). There are no problems generating a new single player world or playing my other already made single player worlds. The only thing we haven't tried is starting a fresh install/map with the server, but quite a few other people play on the server and we don't want to wipe everyone's progress.
