  1. // Greetings, fellow survivors! Welcome to the new and improved SMX modlets for 7 Days to Die - Alpha 19. With this modlet series my goal is to give the entire 7DTD user interface an extreme makeover and refashion it into how I believe the user interface for the game should be experienced. The mod consists of several modlets which can be broken down into three separate mods. These are all stand alone and can be used alone or, as is the intention, together with the other two. These three mods combined is what makes the SMX experience complete! Please be advised that SMXlib is a library modlet that all the other modlets fetch assets from. Because of this it is a mandatory modlet that is included with all the different downloads. There are also optional downloads, like the bigger backpack modlets, the target health bar modlet and the third forge slot expansion. I hope you will enjoy to play 7DTD using the SMX modlets. And if you do, please consider endorsing it, have fun! // Terms of Use. You are allowed to use this modlet as is for your own personal use and/or on a server you run and/or administrate. You are under no circumstance allowed to distribute any SMX and/or ZMX branded modlets without written consent from the developer. If you wish to distribute SMX and/or ZMX branded modlets as part of your own project and consent have been given you are required to do so in such a way so that all the files of the SMX and/or ZMX modlet or modlets in question remain unaltered and you cannot under any circumstance claim credit for creating the modlet or modlets or any of the files provided with it/them. If consent is given you are required to make the changes as a new modlet that injects into the modlet in question and keeping load order in mind it is to be named so that it loads AFTER the original modlet. SMXhud is SMX as you know it from Alpha 16 first remade into a modlet and tweaked for Alpha 17 & 18 and now further enhanced for Alpha 19. The purpose of SMXhud is to take the in-game HUD into a more horror like and gritty art style all while trying to stay as informative as possible while not being intrusive on your gameplay. SMXhud - The Base HUD conversion. ZMXhudCPTHB - Enables the Target Health Bar for SMXhud. (Install optional modlet ZMXhudCPTHB to get the target health bar) // SMXmenu // The MENU replacement modlet... SMXmenu is a menu conversion modlet. It was made to extend the art style of SMX into the menu UI’s of the game and even though it was made to supplement SMXhud it will also work stand alone for those that just want to modify their menu UI's. SMXmenu - The Main Menu conversion. SMXmenu - The In-Game Menu conversion. SMXmenu - Video Settings Window. // SMXui // The UI replacement modlet... SMXui is an extension of SMXhud and SMXmenu and will bring the art style over to the rest of the user interface. I've tried to maintain as close a relation to the vanilla interface as possible but I have also granted myself some artistic freedom when it comes to some areas. It deviates from vanilla with the fifth crafting queue slot which I added to make it fit the overall design better. The other changes I made are all optional like the third forge slot and the 63, 99 and 110 slot big bag conversion modlets for those that want a bit bigger bags. SMXui - The forge with the third forge slot enabled. (Install optional modlet ZMXuiCPTFS to get the third forge slot and ZMXuiCPBBM to get the bigger backpack) SMXui - Totally reworked skills windows. The goal was to make it look like a talent screen. SMXui - Trader Window. // Download Locations... SMX modlets can be downloaded from NexusMods, Github or via the Mod Launcher. Click the appropriate icon below to start a download from your favorite source or use the 7 Days to Die Mod Launcher by SphereII to install the SMX modlets on your system. // THE MAIN MODLETS // // THE OPTIONAL MODLETS // // Installation and removal procedures... Download the modlet from one of the locations below. Decompress the modlet using WinRAR or a compatible archiver. Copy or move the Mods folder into your 7 Days to Die installation folder. Overwrite if prompted. Verify the install by checking that the ModInfo.xml file is located in this hierarchy: "\Mods\modletname\ModInfo.xml" Remove by deleting the modlet folder in question inside the Mods folder. // Support SMX Development... All SMX branded mods and/or modlets will forever be free of charge and available for everyone to download and enjoy.   2. Hello, I am currently looking to make a more challenging experience in my single player game. And one of the ways I would like to do this it's to stop the negative Buffs that my player had when he died from disappearing after coming back. I have tried editing the config files but I don't really know what I'm doing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  3. im using bdubyah vehicle mod and have grease monkey maxed but certain items are still locked even though it says unlock options is grease monkey why is this ? for instance marauder chassis and accessories

  5. Hi. I am trying to get started (from scratch) with creating a modlet with some new weapons. It actually started, because I saw this one modlet, where the guns either didn't have a sound near the firing location, but only at the hitting location, aaand some of them had some weird texturing. Therefore I started to look into the actual modlet and found the Unity3d files. Reverse engineering those are not that simple, and I haven't found many tutorials online. So - I wanted to know, if anyone had a Unity project for a 7D2D pistol (also because I wanted to see how the slide got animated), which one may look at and try to practise his/hers first modlet version out from?
  6. I am confused about 7 days to die. When I play the game it feels like a survival game at times, but once you get items, and other things it feels like first person shooter, or Skyrim RPG. What is 7 days to die at its core? I want to say its a survival game because they got the creepy mood down, but so many things shift when you play it for long amount of hours. So what kind of game is 7 days to die? I just want to stop being so confused when the game gets updated, and I play it for long amounts of times.

  10. *The Blessed Metal Mod, Super Auger, and Weed Whacker have been updated/improved.* Please read: All these mods were made possible by the knowledge, advice, and guidance of those on the 7D2D forum; please know that I am very grateful. 🙂 This first mod is great for defending against bloodmoon hordes. Make a moat, it has to be made of cube blocks otherwise it will leak, with cube blocks around your base. Place log spikes at the bottom of the moat with one block layer of eel traps over the log spikes and then setup a bridge of sorts to get between the moat an base entrance. The only problem is looting the moat. Electric Eel Trap This mod is for those that what a metal storage option that is extremely durable. The option to pick this chest has been removed but the one's out in the world are unaffected. Armored Chest Bringing back the Blessed Metal Mod, this can be crafted after the schematic is obtained through looting then learned. The schematic loot drop probability is akin to the Rad Remover Mod. Blessed Metal Mod This next mod is not my own, just keeping it alive; it is the Sniper Turret with 50 Cal Ammo. Original author - GG2015; I updated it then added it to the trader inventory and gated behind level 5 Advanced Engineering. Sniper Turret This is a mod you can use right out of the gate although it requires a tad extra wood. It's called the Steelwood Mod because it's an extremely durable alternative option to the default storage. Steelwood Chest Don't like noisy, wobbly auger? Here's your solution, the noise is gone and the wobble is barely noticeable. The other tweaks are a higher capacity fuel tank and durability. Super Auger This is available right out of the gate, the catch is you need to fight the required materials and a workbench. Weed Whacker Mod is great for clearing large swathes of plants from the ground. Weed Whacker This mod allows you to fill up your generator tank which is huge and leave it be for a long time since it consumes fuel at a reduced pace.   11. Good evening. I got this stupid idea, that's been rolling around in my head for some time. In various video games and tv shows that deal with the "world after...", you always have that one oddball character, who chose some crazy way of surviving/way of life/cult/etc, that seems to work out under some unknown reason. I was thinking of a person that was heavy into fantasy, either a Larper or MMORPG, and decided now that he was a crusader who's holy duty was to rid the world of these zombies. Heavy armor, with a 2h hammer (in the case of 7days) in hand, he strides off to victory or his end - with no fear. So, heavy armor/2h hammer/sexy trex is how far I got with this build. I'm not sure if I want to go nomadic or have some knowledge of campfire cooking. I haven't used a 2h hammer yet, so I don't know which mods could be added to one. It would add to his character, if I could build a flaming weapon. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thank you for your time.
  12. I keep getting stuck on the loading screen when I try to make my own world. I even tried going to a server via vanilla alpha 19.6 and there is a lot of red text popping up in the console.

So I created a dedicated server called "Back To The Wasteland" to try out The Wasteland mod, and some alternate vehicles as well, I can play on it and see it in the list and friends can join and play when I'm logged in, but unless I am actually logged into this server, no one else can see it even though I have it launched and up and running, can someone tell me what to do to make it totally joinable weather I'm logged into it myself or not?

It happend when game turn on i use alt+tab and see only small belt so i force full screen in windows (alt + enter) and happend it. Game is on Steam. someone have any idea how to solve it ? SOLVED
  15. Hey fellow 7 day'rs. Iam 45 yr old gamer guy of over 1000 hrs on PC and over 2500hrs on the ps4. Iam also a Canuck on EST time. I play on steam or modded through the Launcher. Iam looking for ppl to join up in on playing multiplayer server, or whatever?, Playing single is still fun but I feel that theres alot more fun to be had playing this game that I love.   16. As the title says... My @%$#ty computer crashed again due to thermal issues. I can't afford to replace it. As a result, however, when I tried opening up "Continue Game" after logging back into 7DTD, the save wasn't there. I went and looked in the save file, and the save was there but had not been modified since the previous time I played, the session before it crashed. I had tried everything I've seen on this forum and Reddit, including deleting main.ttw and main.ttw.bak, and nothing has worked! What can I possibly do about this?

  19. So, i was doing decently on my run. Finally got enough to start building a base in time for the 7th day zombie hoard. I had picked up some glass shards and was trying to look up the recipies. I used the normal hot Key "A" as well, its glass and you don't eat glass. However next thing I know is I had eaten some and died almost instantly. Who decided that we could eat glass shards and that it was a good idea!?!?!?

  21. Anytime I change my volume, the volume level overlay pops up in the upper left hand corner of my screen and my game drops frames so hard it's almost paused until that overlay fades away. It does this everywhere (in-game and on menu screens) where it lags out hard and becomes nearly unresponsive while the overlay is present. Is there any work-around for this besides turning off the Sound taskbar notification icon (thus disabling the display)? Windows 10 Ryzen 7 1700 Radeon RX580 16gig RAM Played at 1080P
  22. Okay so im not sure if this the right place to post this but oh well. So ever since i started using my 3080 on this game, my gpu usage never surpasses 50-60%. Of course resulting in lower performance. Ive done countless things to try to fix this. Making my PCs power “high performance” both in windows settings and nvidia control panel. I went through many settings changes with nvidia support and they were not very helpful. Ive reinstalled windows, updated my bios, reseated the gpu and nothing has worked. Even at the lowest possible settings in game, on 1080p i get about 100fps. I normally play 1440p. Not sure if this game is just not optimized for the FE because other people seem to be getting great FPS on this game with other 3080s. i get great performance of any other game. Any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance. My Specs - MSI MPG X570 Gaming edge Wifi - Ryzen 7 3700x @ 3.6ghz - RTX 3080 FE - 16gb Corsair vengeance rgb pro 3200mhz - Game is on a 2tb SSD Id also like to say that i do not believe this is a CPU bottleneck. I see other benchmarks online with the same CPU that do just fine. And is it also possible that my system being AMD is the problem??
  23. Just started a fresh 8k modded map, on day 22 or 23. Modded POI's, weapons, vehicles, overhauled farming, and some other things, but not overboard. Just game enhancements I wanted some more vehicle options, firearms and POI's so that's most of what's on the server as far as mods go.   24. This may just be my vision, they may not be realized! I found in the server that they started some unnecessary programs, such as the loading of the unity model. As the server, these files should not be loaded to occupy the performance of the server. They can be completely empty, smaller models to replace or not start, because the server and the client are two concepts, the client is based on the PC display requirements to start the unity model to drive the perspective, while the server only needs one Quick storage and judgment function is enough. I can hardly imagine the role of those models if the server starts. The current server is equivalent to a client that starts a multiplayer connection. They perform server-side functions in a non-professional nature, so do I think it is reasonable? I will clean up unnecessary unity models in the near future, let smaller empty models start them instead, and then see the effect! This is a way of discussion, if there is a better way, please leave a message below
  25. Does anyone know how to disable the ability to use the dm and cm commands within the console on yourself in a single player game? I don't have the will power to ignore how easy it is to enable and just wreck the whole reason I'm playing. Why spend 15-20mins digging out the ground to make an underground base when I can just enable the creative menu then grab the super digger and then be done in less than 5. Then it doesn't stop there. I've tried editing the serveradmin xml file but to no avail. I've also went through the console and removed myself from the admin list and the cm and dm commands still work. The game seems to consider myself an admin no matter what I do. Any help or suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
