I really dont know - atm I dont have the muse to do it

overall I dont know If its worth the work, because what I heard from many people the Ingame-world-generation is very buggy and is not that good as the Nitrogen's generation

tbh I didnt check and test the Ingame-rwg-generator by myself - just heard the people talking

maybe I will do a rwgmixer.xml for CP when I feel like

atm I give much more priority to the Quality of the prefabs themselfes

maybe someone else will do a rwgmixer.xml for CP44-A19

This prefab is supposed to be so - its a very old POI (from A10 I guess) - It needs to be overworked for sure - prefabname: xcostum_3BlockStores(by_Leo_Liuos)

 

But anyway I pretty like this place (oftenly I use it for my early-game-base ) - Its a very nice and very safe place when U destroy the stairs in the basefloor ;) )

 

If anybody wants to houseflip this (or any other old prefab) you are very welcome

(just post the overdone version here or  in the prefabs-thread and will add it to the next CP)

@all who wants to help out with renovating prefabs:

 

If anybody wants to refurbish One of the older prefabs - UR VERY WELCOME !!!

 

Here is a little unofficial checklist of "rules" Iam looking for when I do Prefab-renovations or new prefabs:

(I want you to follow at Least the technical aspects as good as u can please)

 

technical aspect:
- prefab size ok (not to big / not to small? (x,y,z) ) / no air above prefab? / not to much unnecessary Layers beneath prefab? )
- Sleepers and SleeperVolumes OK? - Sleepers activated in the prefabs own xml?
- Quest yes/no? - questrallymarker here? - sleepers/Volumes here and ok? - at Least 1 questsatchel here? - (checked no simple reachable places?)
- underground/surface OK? - terrain-edges smoothed? TerrainFiller ok? - underground-blocks OK? - no air beneath prefab?
- xml-check ("CopyAirBlocks" - "AllowTopSoilDecorations" - "RotationToFaceNorth" - "YOffset" - "DistantPOIYOffset")
- meshfile exists and is updated ?
- blocks-check (rotations,meta,...) (esp. water and air !!!)

 

esthetical aspect:
- Light , Lighting , Lightambiente is nice?
- normal amount of Loot
- enough details and decor there? (extra add: pipes and cables)
- empty and/or boring walls,roofs,surfaces and ceillings and stupid repeatings avoided?
- paintings (textures) appropriate ?
- Apocalyptic style?
- special-theming - special-events(traps,etc.) there?
- doors/barricates make sense? / better open or locked?

 

tier1: 0-15 active Sleepers
tier2: 16-30 active Sleepers
tier3: 31-40 active Sleepers
tier4: 41-50 active Sleepers
tier5: 50+ active Sleepers

a little add:

IMO its OK that some POI's really DONT have Sleepers inside

IMO its not a must that every single POI should have Sleepers inside 

best thing would be if its pretty random every single time u walk in a POI (also wellknown POI's) - that would be a great add to the level of excitement overall

 

Overall it should be a kinda guessinggame which POI is safe and which is contaminated !

a good way to accomplish that is to set the MINIMUM-SLEEPERS AMOUNT to very low (or zero)

with this little trick its pretty random how many Sleepers the players will encounter (and where the zeds are) every time they walk in a POI

Laz gave me permission to toy with it, sleepers and volume are in. gonna do a makeover to update blocks

may set it to lvl 1 quest

nice - this is One of the most outdated POI's - but also One of the most exciting Ones in previous times

back in the days there where smoking-barrels everywhere around this POI that made this place foggy and kinda alive

lol, not sure I can do the fog. perhaps burn biome placement? after all, it did crash, should be some fire

I think we need some sort of register lol. Or we all would be fixing the same prefabs lol.

 

I not fixing them myself i giving them a paint job and fix any wrong way blocks like bookcases and add sleepers and quest markers. But the original design etc will remain the same.

honestly, i am learning how to do this. guppy and laz gave me free reign, so starting with theirs. and the smaller ones at that.

if you want I can keep you posted as to which, ask to see if you are doing a specific one before I start. since you are at the top, I will scroll from the bottom to find the ones I think I can handle

 

edit: tbh, I dont think the smaller crop fields need zombies

Argh ok fair enough. Yeh maybe once you finish one. Post or pm what your working on next so i can cross of me list lol and i can do the same so we both dont double ups lol.

just the 2 in the .rar file, waiting on Mag's ok and input to see if changes are needed. they are my first 2 ever messed with

Thanks Wolf, and everyone else working on this stuff.  I wish I can help but I don't have the time/patience (or maybe just intelligence) to figure out how to edit prefabs.
