@gpcstargate-

From the front page of the True Survival SDX Forums-

For the easiest installation please use Sphereii's 7 Days to Die Mod Launcher to load the Full Mod and play SP, MP, Coop, Lan or on Servers (All players must have installed the full mod to play. EAC Off) -

https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?48537-The-7D2D-Mod-Launcher-A-Mod-Launcher-for-7-Days-to-Die

Short Mod Launcher Guide:

  • 1) Click on Advanced
  • 2) Click on Spider
  • 3) For the Destination Folder, you can click on the folder to pick where the mod will be installed at. By default, it's C:\7D2D\
  • 4) Click on True Survival SDX
  • 5) Click on Copy to make a copy of your Steam folder
  • 6) Click on Play mod
  • NOTE: The first time you press Play, it will take awhile to download. True Survival SDX is about 500 megs, so depending on how fast your internet connection is, it could take 5 minutes up to an hour. Every other time after that will be much faster.

Quick question on this mod as I am not very knowledgeable with SDX. Does SDX use the assembly-csharp.dll? I am wanting to add an expanded backpack to my game. I didn't want to mess with that .dll though if it will affect the mod as a whole.

Yes, True Survival SDX modifies the Assembly-CSharp. You will need to download the mod, then make your back pack changes.

I think the problem hes talking about is in regards to needing a modded Assembly-CSharp.dll for the backpack modifications, as well as with the SDX mod. This would not be as simple as modifying XML files unfortunately, as those files are likely quite different.

which is the best and most updated version of the mod ..this or the sdx version ?? are they the same mod?

They are the same mod, but this version is not being updated anymore.

Spider is actively working on the SDX version instead.

I'm not familiar with SDX, so I'm not able to answer that question.

I'm sure spider or someone else can give you more info when they see your post.

Hubcaps...need help please.

I just need to verify this before i play any further. I'm playing True-Survial-A15-JZMOD- We cannot seem to find hubcaps for the life of us? Nor do we know where to look. I just need to verify that these are available and not a glitch or part of an unfinished mod. We have tore apart many cars (i looked in the directory thingy and it said "Automotive") So i'm assuming they drop from cars? Can someone please verify this. If they don't drop from cars...why does it say automotive?

@naterz-

Yes the SDX version of the mod edits the .dll files. So they would not be compatible.

@JC LEON-

-The True Survival SDX version is the most updated complete bug free balanced build available.

-You do not need to have or know anything about SDX to run my SDX mod. I package it so everything is done for you. All you do is install the mod and start the game.

-TS already has a bed rest system FYI

@ScottWhite9-

Its a balance problem with the loot. You can find them in Working stiff crates and Cardboard Boxes and trash Cans. Loot balance is fixed in the current SDX version.

I like this mod, I get killed over and over, it's great. The only thing I have an issue with is the crafting menu, there are so many craftable items that when I open it, it lags for a few seconds. I assume adding more ram would fix the problem. And the fat guys exploding makes melee too challenging.

Spider, I use the launcher you have linked and have no problem playing True Survival SDX mod at first. But when I log off and shut my computer down, the next day I get an error. "Access to the path c:...\XUi\controls.xml" is denied. Yesturday I went into the folder and deleted the mod, restarted my computer, downloaded the launcher again and then I could play. From my experience I am missing something obvious but at this time it is just pissing me off. Do you have an idea what I am doing wrong?

Hey there Spider, I am going to try True Survival SDX with my two friends in a team of 3 in total. We will be looting, building and will try not to die once and to survive the hordes and whatnot. However I would like to ask you one specific question. What is the best combo of professions you consider good in this current version of True Survival for the best utility of our team? Thx in advance! Love planning this out!

You may want to consider posting this question in his SDX thread. He is away on vacation, but another player there may have some suggestions.

I'd recommend that you take one class that starts with a wrench, like the construction worker, and then one farmer. The third is less critical, but IMHO those two I mentioned give you the best start.

Seems great... I got it too work in SP on my laptop... but now I wanted to install it on our Nitrado server.

For some reason it won't work or start the server after copying the files.

I tried both (those for the players and for the server), both didn't work. Am I missing something?

We previously had Valmod on it which was easy copy paste, I just thought this was the same, but for some reason it won't work?

Am I copying too much or too little ?

All SDX mods have the same requirements: the ability to over-write DLL files. So if Starvation is supported, then True Survival SDX will also work. They may not have an "easy" installer, but you just need to upload the files, probably through FTP, as you would any other mod.

Should I copy the player files or the server files onto our Nitrado server (FTP i use)

At Valmod it was just one file which the players used and which the server used... but seems different now?

Little bit confused... tried both, but same error so far

Seems I have three files downloaded right now...

TrueSurvival SDX Master.zip

TrueSurvival SDX Server-master.zip

TrueSurvival A15 JZMOD master.zip

All three have DATA, CFG directories inside...

I uploaded the first and the second... Damn, I get confused...seems I got it again in the wrong topic? :@

So I needed the JZMOD I guess? Didn't try that one :')

Sorry

That's the one you need. You'll have to re-set your server installation back to vanilla, since SDX changes some of the DLLs, which is what causing you problems atm :)

JZMod is just XML changes.

Spider's new version of True Survival SDX is completely different than this one, and thus different installation steps.

i noticed...I have the JZMod on the laptop...for some reason I got confused due to multiple topics and got the wrong ones I think... Reinstalling server as we speak

Although I got 1600 hours in the game I seem to die pretty quickly in this mod.. LOL.. is it playable for only 2 to 3 players? Or do you really need all professions to have a chance in the beginning?
