  1. Henry USA says Hold my beer https://www.henryusa.com/caliber/308-win-7-62x51-nato/ The .308 is very similar size to the 7.62. Also, if you are having issues using pointed ammunition in a lever action rifle, it is because you are using a lever action rifle not designed for that type of ammo. Box style lever action rifles typically use spitzer ammo (pointed) while tubular magazines can use spitzer ammo but you don't want to fully load them (one in the chamber, one in the tube). From a game standpoint, I don't think TFP want to introduce another ammo type, especially for only one gun. So like being able to load 14 shells in a pump action shotgun but only seeing 2 being loaded, we get the 7.62 lever action rifle 😉
  2. so basically the opening of Fortnite
  3. That seems right (as in what you are seeing). Crucibles start having a chance of appearing in loot groups around game stage 49.
  4. If you still have issues after taking my information in and Gamida's, you will need to start posting specific information so we can help you troubleshoot it further. What we did was a high level approach to the situation which should handle 90% of the issues one would have installing mods. After that, we would have to get into the weeds to help.
  5. 6. https://7daystodiemods.com/how-to-install-7-days-to-die-mods/ Google is your friend
  7. To add more, there is also variation that has to be taken into context. For the base pump shotgun, the magazine size is variable, so you can see between 7 and 10 shells based on random generation. Throw in the tube extender mod, the magazine size for the pump shotgun can now be from 7 shells to upwards of 15 shells (I am basing this off the xml code and rounding up). So there would be a lot more work involved to make the reloading sequence for the pump shotgun to be realistic. Now they would have to setup the game to take into account the number of shells that the shotgun can load and customize both the reload speed and animation for it.
  8. There might be several reasons for going this route. One might be gameplay. Reloading all 8 shells vs 1 shell would require longer animation times along with a longer reload time. From a gaming standpoint, they may have decided to simplify the reload time to a default amount of time regardless of the amount of shells being loaded. At that point, the reload animation would be built around that reload time. So if gameplay > realism, there wouldn't be anything to fixed.
  9. I am stealing this idea for my modlet 😉 Though based on the changes I am making, I think it has gone from a simple modlet to an overhaul mod: Significant changes to traders Significant changes to looting and crafting Significant changes to schematics / perk books
  10. The error log is showing issues with the following mods: Tactical action, water from faucet and sink, and Auto-repair claim block. Hitbar mod is missing a root element.
  11. Did you follow the instructions on the mod post? Also, are you using any other mods with it? Ravenhearst is an overhaul mod so other mods will have conflicts with it. If you installed this with another mod that makes changes (like one to loot.xml file), it will cause issues.
  12. My excuse for not replying is I have no clue on how to do it 😉
  13. So basically just a clear quest then
  14. To be specific, it is the third pinned topic FYI you only see the green banner from the forums, The red banner is only access the bug reportng section, and the blue is only if you are not already logged in. However, none of those explain the process for posting in the support section to get assistance. Some of the information is the same, but the banner points towards bug reporting; which might not be obvious to some
  15. Item #2 Changes how lights affect the game
  16. I don't think b or c will work without c# changes. I was able to trick the game into giving me more choices after finishing such a quest, but it looks like the code has a hard limit of 5 choices for rewards (I had base_add 5 and 100 for QuestRewardOptionCount). I am going to look into increasing random chance next. I might venture into doing some coding work, but I have to admit...that last time I did any coding with a c-based code was c++ back in 1995. At least I can make use of that experience, unlike my Fortran training around the same time 😉
  17. Just so you know I got a dummy quest started, called BoidstersAnimalCruelty 😏 I now can say I "successfully" caused 7D2D to give me a red wall of text 🤔
  18. I played Warrior at first and then went up to Survivalist. I stick mostly with Surv, unless I am trying out something new and don't want to have to deal with the added challenges of Survivalist mode. Insane, I tried it once or twice but decided it wasn't fun playing that mode so I haven't played it again. Insane just felt.....like bullet sponges. If you do try to go up higher, pick something you are comfortable with to start out with. That's my recommendation.
  19. In 7D2D's Alpha 20 state, there is no defined end game. We might see an end game with the Duke down the road, once bandits are introduced and the story fleshed out. However, there is nothing preventing us the players on setting our own endgame scenario This is an example of several ways I went about playing Alpha 19 Dead is dead Game ends when I lose during a horde night Playing as a strength character Playing as an agility character Playing as an intel character Playing as a character not going over 5 in any ability tree Perking into survival skills and not into combat skills Building a base from the ground up Converting a POI into a horde base Having a single base as both my main and horde night Moving to a new location after each blood moon horde Going all stealth Using only the ammo I can find looting Only selling items to traders I crafted (and only using items I crafted myself) How long can I go with only using traps and arrows to defend my horde base Shorter days No mining Desert only Wasteland only Horde night every 4 nights The list goes on and on. But it depends on the person really. If your goal is to get the shiny stuff, then once you get the shiny stuff, the interest level drops off considerably. If however you like to come up with challenges for you to do, then the list is endless. There are more challenges I want to do that I haven't yet (horde every night, pistol and knives only) that will keep me playing this game further down the road regardless if no new additional content comes out after today (which is not the case).
  20. Bows in the game have never been pointless, but they are probably the only situational range weapon (not including turrets) when you look at them: Ammo Type Weapon Base Damage rpm DPS 7.76 AP T3 MG 50 440 367 44 HP T3 pistol 70 130 152 9mm AP T3 SMG 8 480 64 7.76 AP T3 Sniper 50 140 117 Shot_slug T3 shotgun 96 70 112 Steel bolt T3 cross 45 75 56 Steel arrow T3 bow 31 75 39 Ammo Type Weapon Sneak - NHS Sneak HS Dam / shot (silenced) 7.76 AP T3 MG 50 150 128 44 HP T3 pistol 70 210 179 9mm AP T3 SMG 8 24 20 7.76 AP T3 Sniper 50 150 128 Shot_slug T3 shotgun 96 288 245 Steel bolt T3 cross 90 270 230 Steel arrow T3 bow 62 186 158 I can't get the table option to look right, sorry. The first table is straight DPS while the second table is stealth attacks (NHS is No Hidden Strike, HS is hidden strike). Silenced is based on the HS column. This is damaged based on specific ammo types, a T3 Q6 "nominal" weapon (zero perks). With the exception of the M60, the T6 weapons are in the 110-150 DPS range; but the bows are in the 39-56 DPS range. They come into their own when you take into consideration sneak / hidden strike bonuses. All weapons (except sledgehammers) benefit from hidden strike, while bows / knives have additional benefits. That narrows the gap significantly on the DPS between the bows and other ranged weapons. Bows do even better on closing the gap when you consider a single shot (based on a one shot one kill approach) and silenced weapons. Bows are the best when comparing silenced (I don't consider Shotguns as weapons that can use silencers and that is how I play the game, but it is up to each person how they want to - I did include shotguns though as a comparison to show that they are in-between bows and crossbows). If you got a huge horde of zombies pressing down on you and nothing between you and them, a bow is not your best defense. If you are looking to clear out a POI quickly, then a bow is not your best option. However, if you play where ammo is limited and best saved for Bloodmoon horde nights, then the bows are great based on what you need to craft ammo for them and the ability to limit using firearm ammo. Is this way of playing for everyone? No. Should it be? No.
  21. This sounds like a fun mini project for me. If you (or anyone else) had your choice, would it be a quest given only by Traders or by finding notes? The notes option means you can find it in loot at any time and can be done like any other note (along with other quests). Given by Traders would mean that once you accept it from Trader A, you can't do any more quests from Trader A until you cancel or turn in this quest. Or maybe a combination of the two? Depending on the type of the quest perhaps? Figuring out how to do these things will just make my modding skills stronger.
  22. You asked me before of where you insulted others. The fact that you don't see it, nobody can help you. You do it all the time, whether it is a direct insult or a passive-aggressive insult. It makes me wonder what is the motivation for them. Why do people make snide comments like the one above; implying that the way or difficulty levels others play makes them bad players, even as far as implying that what they say about how they play or the game itself doesn't matter? Do they do this to make them feel superior to others? Are they doing it because they want to demean others? The fact that this sentence alone is not necessary when discussing with someone else about balance or improvements on game, but yet you still include it says a lot.
  23. Yes, but first we got to get him to update his mod. I believed he teased us with a possible update when A20 drops. Definitely one I will try out.
