  1. if you want realism in your firearms, there are a ton of weapon mods out there that will satisfy you
  2. first dig a 1x2 hole. lay down and cover yourself in honey. The ants that swarm you will eat all that nasty infection, and maybe leave enough meat on your bones to let you survive.
  3. The question I want to ask you is; why do you think you NEED to upgrade for better performance when your GPU is at 50%? if you are bound by GPU memory constraints and you aren't able to shuffle textures fast enough I can see that limiting performance, however if you have more than 8GB of GPU ram and 16GB of fast DDR4 memory, I think you are wasting your money.
  4. This is something last on the list I imagine. They have much more important feature/content related stuff infront of it.
  5. I use a stack of quarters for my autorun...
  6. controller support for 7d2d is ok until you get into ANY menu and then it is way to slow and inaccurate for me. I tried to play with a controller on my PC and I just couldnt do it long enough to get through the tutorial quest at the start. I was using a PS4 controller, so the touch pad at the top let me mimic a mouse, but even still I would much rather use mouse and keyboard. Its just frustrating as heck in menus.
  7. Yes! The way items/objects are laid out makes you feel like you really walked into a place where people were hold up. The POI designers have done an amazing job in that regard.
  8. the very first thing I do every game after the tutorial is break some stumps until I find honey. That right there has keep me from dying from infection so many times.
  9. You could have an additional sound that is triggered when you hit. Basically using the same "collapsing through floor/creaking" sound in addition to the hit sound. This would give the impression additional blocks are counting on it's support. The additional sound would be triggered by that blocks state being stress point. This would work if the fun pimps model which points of a building are under the most stress like a bridge builder sim. If not, then it wouldn't work.
  10. it would be nice to hear a floor creaking sound when you place a block on a structure near the edge of collapse to give you the sense that it needs more supporting structure. that seem like an easy ask. when placing a yellow stability block, play a creaking floor sound, when placing an orange stability block play the floor breaking from under you sound. much easier that going into debug mode if you are in the middle of gameplay. Some audible queue. structures creak like crazy before they actually collapse.
  11. when this kind of thing happens, I let myself use the cheat menu to get back to where I was. No shame in that game.
  12. well the easiest fix is just NOT going to a trader. You have the power to make that decision and it cost zero devs hours.
  13. As much of a pain in the butt inventory can be, I find it adds a survival element to the game that is vital. Time management is so important in 7D2D. An auto inventory sorter circumvents part of that issue/challenge. If you want to auto sort your inventory, I imagine you also don't want any overloaded debuffs as well. Both of those elements require me to make choices, and that adds to the immersion for me. Like what was previously stated, we already have several auto sort functions. Anything more just removes inventory as a game play mechanic, and to me that is a vital aspect of any survival game.
  14. I never entered that info myself, but I made my account many years ago. Fairly sure that is related to the original kickstarter campaign
  15. ya by the time I can craft them and bought all the required skill level ups, I have typically found much better versions from quest rewards or looting. I think crafting weapons really has the most benefit when playing multiplayer and each member is specializing in a given task. In solo rarely spend points to learn workbench because I almost always find a schematic by day 7. Back when ammo wasnt as easy to come by I always leveled into workbench. Now it doesnt feel necessary for my play style.
  16. This makes the most sense to me. The night should feel incredibly dangerous right when you start. This is a good way of splitting that difficulty by preparing and being creative with what you have to work with.
  17. I save every round for horde nights and I was floored by how many stacks of shotgun ammo I had in A20. I am glad it was nerfed in A20.1 it just seemed way to common given the setting. Ammo and bread and H2O would be worth their weight in gold in this scenario.
  18. pretty sure Khaine is in the process of updating Darkness falls for A20.1 at the moment. I imagine the headshot modlet isnt far behind. I agree that headshot only seems like a great way to play the game.
  19. what is stopping you from placing your torch down to use your hands, or are you concerned about fighting at the same time?
  20. Ya know for roleplaying/immersion sake that makes a lot of sense because for the setting, that is what you would be doing in the second the leaves turned. I personally wish there was a season mod that shifted the biome in 1 direction temp wise. depending on year. This would make you worry about crop yields and planting season.
  21. As a chef myself, I have similar feels, but I also want to simply a few things. There are definitely some major stumbling blocks in realism and quality of life updates that could be made. Previously they let you boil a can of water, then they removed the need for a pot to boil water in jars. While that makes H2O easier, we still need a pot/jar of clean H2O/egg to boil an egg. We should be able to do that in a can of dirty H2O. Because we dont have food spoilage, the need to pickle or jar stuff isnt as necessary, as much as it adds more realism. How about we make snowberry wine and let it turn to vinegar so we can pickle some eggs? First though, I REALLY hope they add animal husbandry at some point. So many eggs and no baby chicks. Would love to see that be possible. I want an unlimited supply of feathers, or the ability to release a chicken as a living meat distraction for zombies.
  22. If you are making money from using assets you dont own, you are making money from assets you dont own. Pretty simple. "free" to the user doesn't change that. I see this all the time on youtube. People clip a professional piece of media and put ads on it. That is 100% not allowed by law. Trying to apply a "video policy" that allows monetization has NOTHING to do with an app that uses assets. That is 100% not related to YouTube videos. Not peripherally or otherwise. Why would a video policy apply to; making an action figures for the Traders making a comic book about the game selling 7D2D cereal that has status symbol shaped pieces if you are using assets you dont own, and are branding yourself to appear to represent a company you aren't a part of for profit, you are using assets you dont own to profit from their use. why is this confusing?
  23. I predict by the time 7D2D releases the average video card will have 16GB of ram so they will have the overhead needed to bring back the randomly generated/textured zombies. That was like A15 or A16 they took it out for ram reasons I believe, but that was along time ago. There used to be a video option for how much processing you devoted to it.
  24. that would just be a timed buff and I would make it increase your stealth to 100% while walking. pretty simple status effect.
