PS - Fox I'm with you. But instead of gold and silver I'd rather put my money into land and guns. If the banks go, we'll have bigger problems than trying to buy something at the local Get-N-Go.

I've already started my rifle collection and am still waiting on a back-order for my competition pistol to come in. I also just finished building my uniquely designed reloading bench, specifically built for reloading only. Just need to install the presses and plug in the melting pot and range hood for venting out the fumes. I'm so ready for the zombie apocalypse, lol

I do lack some land away from civilization, but I still haven't figured out a way to make that happen yet.

Pronounced ˈpo͞onˌtaNG ? ;-)

is that the Americanized pronunciation?

LMAO!

I do believe correct procedure in 2017 is you just find and spot and say its yours now. Start building immediately.

Laws dont matter.

Serious note:

In australia, they are trying to change the law which has precedence, to subvert and allow them to just take native land, all in the name of profit.

Im beyond frustrated by the lies and misinformation being pushed here in AUS and the US.

This coal push, ignoring of academia and science. It doesnt help anyone other than line the pockets of the fossil fuel industries as a last chance cash grab of dying industries.

Mass unemployment is coming, its already happening in AUS where we lost 43000 full time jobs in my state alone last year.

Its not just mining sectors. Its automotive. The delivery drivers, the truckers, the military!

There are far more serious issues being buried in favour of profit raking of dying industries.

Wouldn't be a big deal if money stopped existing all together. We'd be able to support and encourage automated machinery doing all the work for us. Right now, they're stuck at a tipping point between wanting automated equipment but also prevent ppl from going homeless, but of course, they care a bit less about ppl going homeless as they prefer to get richer.

Global battery storage industry to fight australian home bans

We have the highest penetration of solar installations in the world. Telsa, BYD all want to make us a proving grounds to the world.

Our energy prices is 3x that of the US. Highest in the world. Due to rampant foreign investment. We already have Coal plants closing due to renewables eating into them. Once a plant drops in efficiency, its no longer economically viable.

Australia is the largest exporter of Coal in the world, period. Our industry is dying so fast. You cannot control market forces

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-economy-employment-idUSKBN1683AZ

India and china make up 40% of Australia's coal exports. Japan 34%. The rest is small numbers. If we cant save ours, he cant save yours.

India is not importing any coal in the next 10 years due to domestic over supply. China isnt either. They spent 103bn on renewables last year. They are going to spend 360bn+ this year on renewables.

The Fossil industries own the government here essentially. Its disgusting. Its obvious. Now you are all asking how do we stop it.

Watching it now happen to the US... Very Saddening.

Oh, and you dont want to look at our immigration. US has nothing on us.

Dont worry SOOONER or LATER you will come out with what your REAL problem is with me..i have alot of Saved stuff from you in my Directory........i know what "passive aggressive is"

So keep it coming..or you can just MAN up and say it....

as we say in the military..."put up or shut up"

So I object to you insulting people, and your response is to escalate to threatening them, too. Well, I don't know how you expect anyone to respond to that, but it won't be with silence and it certainly won't be with acquiescence.

The "real problem" is not with any person or their opinions. When I use the reputation system, I clearly state why I am doing so. If it bears repeating, it is always because I approve or disapprove of something in that post. I have never used the reputation system on a post just because of who said it or what their opinions outside of the game were.

I'll keep using the system this way, and request everyone else do the same. I stand by everything I've said, which is one reason why your "saved stuff" has no impact, beyond making you sound like the kind of person that threatens people.

Your country's population is too small to influence a 7day thread.

HA!!

wouldn't want to be threatened with negative rep..it might make my feelings get hurt and i will have to award myself the "snowflake award".

I'm not sure how that would work. Someone would have to design, build, program, service, etc. all the automated machinery. From a collectivist point of view the people with the expertise to do those things would be getting shafted, as they'd be the only one's that'd have to work. Everyone would be relying on them too.

IMO lacking a conventional economy would only be fair and sustainable if everyone had to contribute to a community, or were simply self-sustaining. Otherwise someone's getting taken advantage of, and I think that's counter to the point if I'm reading you correctly.

I personally agree with currency, it better facilitates fair trade. Of course, I think we should be using hard currency, or perhaps commodity currency such as gold and silver. I have no faith in arbitrary, government backed fiat currencies. It's not always a perfect system either, though.

Of course, we're delving into the hypothetical here.

Look up the concept for "Venus Project". There are movies that reference or talk about it, like Zeitgeist part 3, or especially the movie "Future By Design" where you actually get to see a lot of the interesting creations made by the inventor himself.

Basically, politics, religion and money are holding back development and research and is also the reason why we're killing our own planet. Venus Project is basically a self sustained large city where less than 5% of the citizens would need to work in order to maintain it (basically just monitor the computers and make adjustments or upgrades as needed). I know ppl that enjoy working so much that they'd continue to work with or without money rewards, including myself. Why do you think I moderated these forums for free for almost 2 years? The problem wouldn't be finding workers who would work for free, the problem is making this city a reality. No one wants to fund it, and the government doesn't want it to happen at all (for obvious reasons).
