  1. Well, if the EULA has changed and it involves game mods, I'm guessing copyright things..? I don't think that would entirely banned here as a topic, but as the title already includes "drama", I doubt it's going to be that fruitful either ...
  2. I have no idea what the topic is, but if it includes mods and their decisions, ye, public discussions of those are out of limits on the forum.
  3. Nothing wrong with that, but that kinda answers the "what do people with normal stack sizes do with... ?"; we .. don't
  4. Thanks! For the quality of the POI, in this arcade sense, it's pretty spot on. I have my gripes with the triggers etc, but those are about design decisions. I kinda felt bad about the wood blocks at the first pulls when I realized the zeds are just coming from the roof this time; I've had a much worse spawn there, it might've been changed or I was just lucky. Decided not to cheese further at that point. The last room feels like it should've killed me about three times when played like that. But it didn't. Some of that might fall upon 3m parkour confusing the zeds, I wasn't jumping for that effect, but whenever I jump, something goes in Destroy Area -mode. For the rest, the zeds seemed to have somewhat of a hard time figuring out the pathing - ye, some are trapped in cells intentionally, but the ones trapped by the staircase should've been more of an issue. For the run, well, I should've brought contact grenades, would've worked fine in all the places I used any and would've been nice in couple of places. But it worked out running like a headless chicken
  5. For me, for the couple A21 playthoughs, these have lined up pretty well. There was a few days when either chem station or the books were not available yet, so I wrenched about a dozen cars. But when I don't have the fuel, I'll Mega Crush back and forth, so it's barely an inconvenience for the few days ..
  6. Hmm.. I don't disagree with any of that, but for me, iron has mostly been at a surplus from day one. I've been getting most of my gear and all of my tools from trader/quest -loop. So feeding some or even most of my iron to a turret didn't really make me go mine for more. And most of the time I don't mine for ammo at all, it's all from loot; d50 now, my ammo is in three writable boxes and I'm going to need to make a second box for 7.62 in a couple days. That makes mining for turret ammo stick out to me as a difference; just a slight annoyance for sure, a night here and there, but expensive for me in comparison.
  7. Well, I can't speak for the average population, but I only wrench cars if I specifically need engines. So I'll basically never have a surplus of more than a gen bank's full. In this version the fuel gains are even less than before, so even less reason to wrench any; just get some shale when you need it.
  8. Simple clear of the Nazezgane corrections, arcade style, no looting. Raw footage, but mostly action, with some "finding my bearings" left in. Went in with complete knowledge of the place and traps, didn't bother cheesing most of them. 17 mins of a lazy bum rifling thru, with tiny bits of stealth sniping. Recorded mostly for myself, but figured to upload in case QA wants to have another sample of how it plays, or if @meganoth wants to see how out-of-league the things I do are (they aren't). https://odysee.com/@theFlu:d/NavzPrisonClear:a
  9. The scopes are sometimes rare, esp in early game, so it's a good option. Cobble you can buy or make yourself; armor plating won't help you at all (1% less total damage taken) .. schematics mostly need a workbench and that one is really meh. Ammo is always useful, but you should be fine not taking every bit of it. I'd absolutely go for the scope, but I wouldn't blame you for taking the 9mm if you want it.
  10. Open Journal, press ESC, closes journal... Open Journal, take a screenie, press esc a couple times for pause, go find the screenie. Handy-dandy. I'm firmly in the RTFM-camp myself, I like to figure things out by reading.. but for games, ehh... ain't nobody got time to sit still reading. I'm here to shoot zeds, goshdarnit! I'd prefer if the skills and journal entries and whatnot were readable outside the game, which is what wikis and such are for of course. But an option from the start menu wouldn't hurt. Might even have a more read-friendly format. Atm, just make a test game and read them in there, except for the journal as it isn't unlocked... Hoping for some changes with the UI-redesign.
  11. There's always the option of reducing the basic ammo damage by half. Atm we have the powers of the ammo types quite close to one another, but one does multiple targets and armor reduction, becoming the easy "winner". The basic type is given everywhere, so it's "always available". A third type would need its own niche to be actually employed. I can't come up with a good niche for HP, that would solve the issue and fit the game. Might give AP rounds a damage reduction "due to overpenetration", make it something like 30% weaker than the regulars on soft targets (as in just reduce the actual damage of the round on all targets). It would still do more on two softies, and slightly more on a single 50% armored one. Then you might use two types simultaneously, AP, and one of normal or HP. But I don't think it would feel that great, people would still just opt for one or the other, begrudgingly accepting the loss involved. A decently organized group could mix and match between players, but that's about it.
  12. People cry about people crying? Feedback, no matter how whiny or poorly articulated, is potentially useful. Telling people not to give feedback is absolutely pointless.
  13. It did go thru quite some iron, but you could largely feed it with what you got on the run, grabbing some good sources of iron en route and from the POIs. With the basic version eating lead, you don't really get enough to replenish. In my one short playthru with them I never had enough to feed it without mining. There might be a playstyle difference, but I can't come up with good sources of lead to feed it from.
  14. Your overall point is valid, but this is the moment I want my payload to count for the most. Don't really care if the guy 5m away took 30% less damage, I got 300% more loaded just waiting for him to waddle over ...
  15. Ye, you're not wrong, AP is basically always better. I made the argument with HP as it's a direct upgrade, AP has additional features to invite discussion beyond my point. Somehow I started trying to avoid that...
  16. Isn't that the case for every ammo type atm, use HiPower instead of normal if you have it, even starting with bows, use iron arrows if you have a forge?
  17. I like the idea, but a design goal of the Dew system is to be a rate-limiter for water. Limiting the filters to traders limits the amount people can get early; having a non-limited version in the game would defeat that purpose. Even if it was somehow "work-limited", people would then get both types, doubling the output.
  18. Ye, that edit of mine was entirely about throwing 7.62 away by reckless use of an M60; but the turrets are indeed pretty accurate in close range. At the limit of their range - when they open fire - they seem to miss about half the shots, but a couple meters in they're quite solid.
  19. Yeh, feeding it with scrap iron was a little too easy, but at the moment it's the only weapon that basically requires mining. EDIT: Ok, feeding an M60 for spray and pray might also require mining, but if you're just throwing ammo away, it's on you..
  20. Might become the first mod I give an honest go with .. great!
  21. Yeh, it used to be a little better, but then they wanted to make it difficult.. and broke logic. It works, for suitably weird definitions of work.
  22. There's a command under dm > shift+F6 > game_player_reset .. clicking it from the menu wipes ALL the books and levels etc. I don't think there's a way to reset just one set. Spawning everything in, then resetting character and reading them all again should work; but I'd rather just give him however many you have and just ignore having them yourself. "giveselfxp 100000" with large enough numbers to get the level back to where it was. But, it's a new guy, he might be gone by the second session, don't do an hour of work over him yet ...
  23. I'd be fine with that, wouldn't really change the practicality that much. If you have it, you have it, if not, pills will be required. Might also remove the +5 Food. Then again, it's a game, I'm also fine having it as is ... it's not the least realistic aspect of the game Thanks for bothering to spell it out
  24. Yeh, I'm pretty sure it's getting adjusted shortly.. I've heard nothing, but it's bad enough that they're going to notice. For the exact collision here, head on full speed into a telephone pole, I wouldn't mind the gyro getting absolutely wrecked, unusable until repaired. But just vanishing from the world instantly, just no. That's a crapton of steel and all your haul gone, just because your nose itched at the wrong moment. 0% health, needs repairs, maybe on fire and blows up in 15 real minutes unless you fix it, but absolutely not just vanish.
