  2. What I got out of their original post was they wanted to be able to edit the serverconfig.xml file and have it make changes in their solo game. That is what confused me. They said they wanted their solo game to start as not listed. I made my post with a pic of where to start a game so it is not listed and got this response I am thinking it is because of language differences that we are getting our wires crossed.

  4. Someone else will have to chime in on this one as you totally have me confused now. As I stated from what I know changing the serverconfig.xml file has no effect on solo games. You can just change what is in those menus. Or use mods. Good luck, hope you get your answer.
  5. Are you on social media? I know Jim Carrey did it years ago and had some fair success with it but in todays age of being able to get it out to the public pretty much instantly and to many more people I am sure the vid would go viral and you would probably become very famous.
  6. When you start up your game, in the General tab under Server Visability you should be able to set it to Not Listed..
  7. Am probably an idiot for asking but Op keeps saying the game... We are talking about a proper server right, not a hosted game as from what I recall the serverconfig.xml file doesn't change your game settings. Disregard if I am talking out my butt.

  10. If you do release your mods to the wild might I suggest you make all those separate. Some might like one or two but maybe not all and if they were all in one modlet then some might not grab them. for instance I am sort of interested int eh auto-sorting one, maybe even the harvest mod one but as I play pretty much SP game then the catch up one I most likely will never use. Good on you though for even asking. I, at least, think there can never be too many mods out there...gives people a choice.
  11. Not sure if it was in game or (more likely) was a mod but one time we could from my memory. You could do similar like you can when queuing up items to smelt or cook. You could right click and the little box would come up and you either hit the arrows or typed in the number of the amount you wanted to split. That is what I recall anyway...or it was just a pleasant dream I once had.
  12. Speaking of, would be nice if some spot near the que would have the total time for everything cooking. Would make it so much easier on my OCDish head to be able to add the perfect amount of fuel. At least until they add it so the fires go out when stuff is finished cooking in campfires and forges. Edit: yes I know of the mod that does it...I use it now. I think some would appreciate it if it was already part of the game.
  13. I didn't mention it earlier but when I was on I had similar thing happen. When I was chopping a tree or harvesting a boulder about every 3rd hit I wouldn't hear the sound of the stone axe hitting. For some reason it didn't click for me to mention this. Sorry, guess I am not the best tester as it happening seemed so trivial.

  15. Is it PVP? Last time I jumped on the TFP test server I was there about 10 minutes and someone killed me. I was thinking it was PVE as it wasn't mentioned anywhere but when I asked later I was told yeah it is PVP.. I haven't played PVP in this game one time. Just not my cup of tea.
  16. I had 70+ mods in a game one time. Not A21 ofc (yet lol) but yeah that may have been an extreme time but usually I do have at least 10 -15. I just add them as I find ones I like. The modders are very good at what they do as (except for when using the major overhaul ones) I have had little problem with mixing mods.
  17. That is what I was thinking also. They wanted the horde night to always start at 22:00 no matter what day settings you had so that one was hard coded and the "day" would start at the time of your settings Yeah because of the horde starting time I am guessing that is the only way they could have that setting.
  18. First thing I do in a new game is toss the Land Claim Block and the note. LCB is very easy to make and you won't need it for a while. The note you can read if you like but after the first time you do later games you can just toss. That is 2 precious slots you just freed up. Also remember that anything in the toolbelt doesn't count towards your encumbrance. Being a little over is not bad but have seen players with 3, 4 or more free slots in their toolbelt when they are encumbered.
  19. I think you are correct doughphunghus. I have often changed the daylight hours to 20 and the zombies have always started to run at 22:00. I think they stop running though at 2:00 instead of the usual 4:00. 2:00 is also when I get the daytime music which is when I think they do start walking again.
  20. The only way I could see around this is probably not possible as would most likely be too long to implement. As you say appeasing one side group would most like likely @%$# off another side group. The only way I could see to fix it is to make pretty much everything adjustable in menus with buttons, sliders and switches. Not moddable but actual adjustments you can make in the vanilla game so that veterans and noobs alike could do it I have no idea on how to program a game but I can speculate that it would be very difficult to do it for a multitude of settings so that everyone could adjust the game to their liking. The closest thing I can see is the path they are on now. Add menus for as much as they can and make everything else moddable so hopefully modders will come up with enough changes to please the rest.
  21. Maybe for dew collectors they could add slots like the tool slots in benches and forges. The slots would allow 1,2 or 3 filters. With 1 filter, no heat(activity) increase. Each slot holds 1 jars per day. With 2 filters, heat(activity) increases to same as one forge. Each slot holds 2 jars per day. With 3 filters, heat(activity) increases to same as two forges. Each slot holds 3 jars per day. or They could add a fuel slot. Without using fuel it creates the 3 jars per day and no heat(activity) increase. With fuel it uses the heat(activity) increase but increases the speed or the amount of water per day. Dealers (TFP) choice. Just spitballing ideas here to see if anything sticks. My suggestions may have hidden problems I don't see as of now.
