  1. I am from the generation where you got a game when it was finished. I think I may be one of them there boomers. Hidden away I have fancy boxes which contain floppy disks (3.5 and 5.25) and manuals about how to install and play the game. I recall the pain of having to insert disks to continue in game. I eventually stopped playing games (well I did embarrassingly play those hidden object games for a while but am not counting those) My first real game since maybe the late 80's, early 90's was this one. Never even heard of steam before it. Now I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love the game and yes I also hate the wait (BUT, I understand it) Anyway that is all for now. My nurse is here for my spongebath and to medicate me and I think today is enema day, so there is that. Take care all and have fun.
  2. Why do you assume we are all trying to trick the devs into answering something. I just wanted an answer to a question I am sure one of the devs could answer. I mean someone had to program the stealth eye that pops up when you crouch. They must have had some reason for the number to change. As it is already out in A20 I don't think it would be a secret.
  3. I would have to search through the forum to be 100% sure (yes said I was but I was trying to get my point across) but I am in the high 80+ % sure that it was said that it wasn't distance. I was hoping that you being in good with the devs you could maybe ask casually as it is not a A21 thing but something already in game. I mean a dev should be able to tell if it is distance or a gauge of how well they could sense you. I'll just wait here.
  4. I will need someone to explain this because I am 100% sure someone in the know has told us in the past that the meter doesn't give us a definitive distance that we are detectable but more of a general gauge of their senses.
  5. I was hoping myself there was some sort of secret depository where there were mods saved from every single alpha. I would love to be able to grab a copy of alpha 12 and go to a site and see a list of mods I could use for it, or alpha 13, or alpha 8, or alpha 17,... Going back to what ever time mods were started to be added to the game.
  6. Ah ok am sorry. I have a couple of folders of that mod on my computer and even checked another on my old server and neither of them have the AssemblyCSharp.DLL file. I also checked a couple of other large slot mods and those didn't have one either...now there was a 120 slot mod I saw that had it but not sure for what alpha it was and if I had even tried it.
  7. Is there a discord for your server that I could upload it to? Or if there is some online place to send it...preferably one where I don't have to set up an account
  8. I have an old Khaines 96 Slot Backpack with files dated from November of 2018. Not sure what game version was out then. Lol, I have tons of mods from years ago that I haven't deleted. Not sure what alpha I was on when I got them.
  9. They decided not to use monkeys when the local monkey union (Union to Not Keep Listening to Everyone) threatened to strike because monkeys get blamed for everything. I am not saying this as a monkey or a member of Monkeys U.N.K.L.E
  10. I know a couple of things that could be added that are out there as mods now that I would really appreciate. 1.) The campfire/forge turning off when things are finished cooking/smelting. 2.) Being able to lock specific slots as I like certain things in certain spot in my inv and them not moving when batch moving stuff or sorting.
  11. 7 Days was, is and will most likely always be my main game I play. That being said I will play devil advocate for those wishing Thicks likeness to be added to game as zombie or even bandit. I am sure that there are probably hundreds if not thousands of people who watched Neebs Gaming play this game and got great joy out of it. I am thinking it will take the gang years to even begin to not get totally emotional when they think about their friend who passed. Put yourself in their place. Would you play a game in which you had to kill your friend that you had lost too early? As a zombie you would have to. As a bandit, (and not knowing how they will work in game), I am assuming it is also a good chance you would have to do it too then. I can't say that is how they would actually feel but if it was me I think that is how I would feel. I could see if some sort of special trader was added or even maybe his image added as one of the many posters of missing loved ones. I may seem like I am not in favour of some sort of homage to Thick but that is not the case. I have watched pretty much all the 7 Days series they have done and have gotten a kick out of it. I will also miss his humour. RIP Thick 44.
  12. which part hurts players the most losing....the sexual part or the T-Rex part
  13. Not sure how it got in there but am pretty sure if someone paid for it in kickstarter they would have kept it in. Getting rid of someone paid kickstarter pledge like that seems like it would be a bad move on their part. As for the big momma who spents $5k to get her own zombie likeness...I don't know of that one either but I do know of Tom Clark who spent $6k to get his likeness in the game.
  14. I noticed some joking about Klingon being worked on for 7 Days To Die. Here is a pic of some text from an official localization file from 7 Days To Die. It is from A15 but it was also in A16 and A17. It wasn't in later alphas. I never saw any way to actually use it in game so was most likely an easter egg or joke but it was for a while in the official game.
  15. @Laz Man, Hey I know it is early but just saw you were here not long ago and wanted to ask, "Have you been working on a new Smells Like Alpha 21" pic yet. You know for when the time does come.
  16. Because they are only snow biomes and I was thinking they were glitched I don't have them anymore. Was part of reason I asked if there was somewhere people could share maps so I could download some. Sorry.
  17. Ah ok, I know we are in mod section but there was no mention of a specific mod in the opening post so I just took it as a general change. I don't know if you need to change the first one to just pick up lights. That just seems what the regular E interact would need to be. Am not sure if there is a way in the mod to change the key to turn them on and off as again just seems like what a interact key would do. You could try contacting the mod maker to see if it is possible.
  18. There is a way to change the binding of keys but if you change E it will affect everything it does not just picking up lights and turning them on and off.
  19. I think they will announce the streamer weekend before even experimental gets released so would guess there is still a bit of time to play a game or two of A20
  20. I have modded out the very short grass that you hardly see in some games as I truly hate when that happens. I hate hitting that tiny clump of grass when trying to dig for clay.
  21. Is there going to be somewhere to download player made maps? I have been trying but I have screwed up Teragon so much (knew I would lol) that all the maps I have made so far contain just snow biome.
  22. I don't think they are actually immortal or won't die of natural causes. I mean they do seem to rot. They don't have any fear (or common sense) so they will put themselves in situations where they will get their bodies damaged maybe even to the point of they do "die". As we call death for them anyway as the common theme is if you damage/destroy the brain then that is it for them. So people will kill them and they will it seems just eventually end up somewhere where they will just decompose into nothing. Will they vanish eventually? Who knows. Some lore makes it so it seems the virus is in everyone now but it just can't take over until you die. So that makes it seem that the virus will eventually win in the end...unless someone finds a cure.
  23. Ok so to me, no matter if you are talking of a game that is purely for fun or if it is more realistic isn't the point of it to as you progress to make your life easier. Take say tv shows or movies of zombies. One thing most have in common is people will group up and start little communities. It seems one of the things they try to do first is fix the food problem. They start farms and such. Growing food and raising any animals they can find. Most of their problems after that is killing hordes and keeping roving bandits from coming in and taking all their crap. Again, just me, I don't mind that the game is hard on you in beginning but if by day 1000 you are still struggling just to eat enough to not starve then you must be doing something wrong and you won't survive...well you are surviving just what is the point. I may have lost something in translation from what I was thinking to what I wrote but am hoping most of you will get it. Was wondering why this got a thumbs down but then didn't mind so much after seeing the person who did it had given 10 posts a thumbs down in last 25 minutes. From looks of it all in this channel.
  24. That is sort of what I was trying to get at. It would show that the game runs fine solo on another server. So was thinking that would show it definitely had something to do with him hosting. Anyway will leave you knowhow guys to figure it out.
  25. Just spitballing here but I don't recall seeing if you have tried joining any other servers to see how the game plays. Would that help with narrowing things down? (Asking the techies as I don't have a clue)
