Speaking of server list. I would really like it if they added a filter for ping. Would eliminate a lot of those chinese servers with pings in the very high hundreds and I wouldn't mind just finding some servers that I would have a lower ping on.

I understand the workaround. I was just curious as to why it can't stay like it is now. What problems will it make. I know if it causes security issues or something similar it has to be changed. I just wanted to know why.

So 7 Days is on GamePass now and working. We still can add mods to the mods folder in the game like we always did. So why can't it stay like that in future. Is it some security thing. I mean MS must be allowing it to happen now. Is there a problem somehow with keeping it this way.

So I can still have my 5 or 6 separate single player games, edit the serverconfig.xml file in each folder to point to a different mods folder and just start the exe in each folder for each different modded game I want to play?

Not sure if this helps but if you go to the servers in steam I think all your favs and history should still be in there. Pain in butt to have to write down the ips but you may be able at least to get back on your servers.

Ok this mods folder thing had me worried so I figured the easiest thing I could do to figure it out was build a time machine and go to the future to see what was going on with it. Time travel is wonky so I can't recall exactly what year it was but I did manage to get a screen shot of an addition to the game. I think they may still be working on it so can't guarantee this is going to be in final game or if it gets completely scrapped. It does give me hope I can still add multiple mods.

Is it possible I wonder they could just add an option to choose either the default (what they want to change it too) or Mods folder (in the game folder like it is now) when you start a game so. Like you said best solution is to load from both areas if they are really going to add this. Guess game could check if Mods folder and if none then use the one they set up

Thanks The part about still only being able to run the one mod is what I was concerned about. Like you I would like it to stay like it is. I could manage if they did change it but having to swap out mods each time. That would put a crimp in my gameplay for sure.

I need some clarification on this idea. I was wondering if they used Documents would it still work like it does now where I can have my five 7 Days copies on my drive all with different mods that will work by just clicking the shortcut link I make on my desktop or will it just make it easier to swap out mods because the documents folder will be easier for most people to find?

Am curious also. Will I have to give up my 6 or 7 modded versions I have usually on my drive?

Also another thing not in my pic is the files below the folder MonoBleedingEdge They would be there anyway and wasn't relevant to what I was showing also I didn't want to make the pic huge If it still doesn't work see if it is possible to post a pic of you file structure showing the Mods folder.

Here is my full folder for the game. As you can see there is the Mods folder to the left and at the right you can see all the folders/files in it. That is all I needed to play it. One thing you may notice and it doesn't affect the game is I have my game folder called A20 Romero Mod as I have multiple copies of the game on my drive. Yours will most likely just say 7 Days To Die Sorry if it seems like I am throwing so much info at you but I just hate someone having a problem playing this game because of technical snafu. You should be killing zombies not going through this.

That may have been your problem...too many folders...Just move all those files above directly into the Mods folder in your game. That should be it.

This is what mine looks like... Well if you click on the mods folder it actually shows the two extra files but this was just to show that it all just goes under the Mods folder as above.

also make sure when you unzipped the mod it never made the dreaded double folder. Sometimes it happens that when you unzip it does something like this. Mods Gopher_01 Mod Gopher_01 Mod Config Make sure it is just Mods Gopher_01 Mod Config
