  1. More than one thing can be worked on at a time and this is hardly the worst offender of "unnecessary posts". Take most of my posts as Exhibit A. The biggest mistakes the OP made are assuming their opinion is matched by all women and that they have any say about what women think to begin with. He (I'm assuming at this point the OP is a he) is an armchair warrior in a battle that should not extend into the unreality of 7DTD. I'm in a family with strong women and they much prefer to talk for themselves.
  2. Knuckle rub sort of does that, but I agree... that an "I Agree" option would be a good thing.
  3. Personally, I think food balance just requires more potential for "failure". For instance: Crops returning nothing to some maximum each time instead of always a minimum amount Crafting food items sometimes creates inferior or inedible items Can goods can sometimes be spoiled Food poisoning should be an accumulated state, so the more bad food you eat the worse your condition gets. Reviving from death should start you out hungry (or at least not full) All of these things could have perks to help mediate the negative effects. There are lots of other things that could be done, of course. But my point is that right now it is too easy to make your food and water supply irrelevant, which it would never be in a "real" zombie apocalypse, at least as long as the zombies are arround.
  4. It is not offensive to every woman, you are exaggerating to make your point. Also, it is something many, many men find offensive. In reality. This is a game, though. Why are you offended by perceived sexism (it's a game, no actual women were mistreated in any way) but okay with other things like the violence? No, I'm not attempting to change the subject I'm merely asking where does this line of thought end? If you take out everything that could offend someone then you are left with Barney Hugs Someone Pretending To Be A Zombie. Nobody wants to play that. Seriously, please don't expect everyone to agree that removing potentially offensive material is always the best option.
  5. To be fair, they are not a needed POI for the game. But it is also trivial for you or anyone else to remove them. Modding the game is not only possible it is encouraged. There will always be aspects of any game that someone out there will find objectionable for one reason or another. As a father of 3 girls and being married to a military vet (my wife) I can also say unequivocally that not all women would consider the presence of these POIs as offensive or even objectionable any more than their presence in a movie would be. The difference, as stated earlier, is that 7DTD allows the game to be modded easily so if you want the PG version you can have it. As it stands, 7DTD shows that these things existed at the time of the apocalypse and were likely more popular after it started. So my vote is mod it out if you don't want it along with every other POI you find objectionable and leave everyone else the option of leaving them in if they choose.
  6. My peace was slayed. Damn zombies.
  7. With some POI's, Qbert noises might be more appropriate.
  8. I want Mario World sounds to play as I'm jumping around a POI.
  9. Too busy rebuilding their bases to create a tutorial?
  10. This game is still in alpha, not even beta. It does not have all of the features, let alone full balancing of the features in place. If you want to nitpick the timeline and order of implementation I'm sure you will find all the proof you're looking for. Not that it will mean anything.
  11. Roland vs. playerthatthinkstheyknoweverything My money is on Roland.
  12. What Meganoth said... it doesn't fit any single category which is exactly what it was aiming for. Each play through can be a very different game and as you gain knowledge your game play will also change. You can adjust so many things and mod most of what can't be adjusted in game with simple XML edits. You can install mods other people have made if making them isn't your thing. Asking what 7DTD is, is like asking a huge wad of molding clay what it is. There is no answer that lasts longer than your desire to change things up a bit.
  13. This is actually a true statement... you CAN live without electricity. In fact we have throughout the vast majority of human history.
  14. The endgame scenario: The game switches to learn by doing with the crafting grid and you're forced to make every craftable item 1 million times. Oh, and you have 7 days to do it.
  15. I know you can launch Steam in offline mode and 7DTD will play while Steam is in offline mode. You do have to be able to launch Steam first to play the game though, regardless of how you launch the game (from Steam or from the game folder).
  16. I admit nothing. Or maybe negative nothing. Certainly not positive nothing, that would be silly.
  17. I'm wearing long Johns to cover my Johnson.
  18. I always play no loot respawn so when I loot a nest I destroy it. That way I always know whether I've looted a nest before or not. But yeah, with that option I loot a LOT of nests and don't really think about how many nests didn't have eggs, only how many eggs I have after doing a run somewhere and looting as I go. Bacon and eggs is a very useful recipe early on and worth the effort of hunting for eggs.
  19. I had one useful post since I was seeking clarification of the answer. Don't think I'm going to make a habit of that, though.
  20. If we're fans, does that make us prostitutes? Or sex workers... or whatever the PC term is.
  21. But... what if your name is in the credits? At the end.
  22. They help themselves to all kinds of things. Besides, they probably started the zombie apocalypse.
  23. I exchanged half my brain with my reflection and ended up with two right-brain halves. The only way I can reason now is by staring at my reflection and taking notes.
  24. You have to find the ultra rare water wrench. It's usually held by the water wrench witch except when her uncle is borrowing it and then it is referred to as Willie's water wrench. On an unrelated note, water is going to get an overhaul at some point. You might be able to fix it with a bucket and dumping water into the "holes" starting at the bottom and working your way up. Yeah, it's that ugly, not unlike the witch.
