He has been using tools / fists all time long (not the hoe, though) but never got more than 1 crop. The question is whether this perk only works for self-grown stuff or for wild crops like potatos, carrots, tomatos and so on as well?!

I believe it is only for self made grown crops.

The Iron Hoe does work with wild crops as well. Living off the land does have a description on the last perk about it also being for wild crops once you select it.

Couple of minor things:

 

Planted some Goldenrod seeds and the grown plants had the E prompt, so when I picked them up they left no saplings. I guess they grow to become wild plants (I'd planted a number of other seed types at the same time which all worked as expected).

Edit: Got a hoe and it does work as expected when I use that.

 

Wooden bow description still says it scraps to bow parts (not sure if the bit saying it takes repair kits to repair is correct; I can't test it right now).

Khaine, for the love of God do not listen to him, and don't look at Undead Legacy. As much as I would love to clip Jawoodle's reaction to a scorpion swarm like I did with the spider swarm...no, no, no.  🥺😱🥺😱

 

Kidding, although I haven't seen giant spiders in a while did you remove them? I mean I've seen the mutated spiders but nothing gave me the shivers like walking into a poi and triggering a giant spider.

If that is the case, will they make a reappearance in DF one day? I realise some people don't like spiders more than having to deal with zombies, but the spiders really were a great apocalyptic edition to DF :)

Yes, it's save compatible. Yes, it includes the hotfixes that were in the discord.

 

Download the zip, delete your mods folder, replace with the one in the zip, done.

 

V4.1.1-DEV-B6

- Added myth's remade sleeper/bloodmoon/screamer hordes to incorporate new empowered demons.
- Remade infection as people said it wasn't working, which I have tested and is now working.
- Pulse arrows/bolts are now fixed.
- Increased the cost of cobblestone shapes.
- Added "frame shapes" for cobblestone, concrete and steel, which cost half of the normal shapes, have half the hit points, can be picked up and upgrade into the "normal" shape version with full hp. Total cost would be the same as if you crafted the shape.
- Lowered Insane gamestage addition from +400% to +300%, so it's still harder than 4.04 but not as hard as 3.6.
- Lowered the reduction from harvesting (trees, ores, etc) from 25%/50%/75% starting at WARRIOR, to 20%/40%/60%.
- Cryogrenades should now do the same damage as molotovs, and scale in the same manner to make them more useful.
- Slight adjustment to the "levels" for temperature buffs so it shouldn't be quite as punishing.
- Gave a salvage amount bonus to the ratchet, impact driver and laser multi-tool while also increasing their block damage a small amount for faster harvesting without losing resources.
- Changed bio and tech boost level requirements from flat 125 to 110/110/125/125/140 because players apparently don't read and realise that, while they can make the shots, they didn't have the required levels. Also this increases the level requirements to get all levels as per a suggestion.
- Painkillers and Codeine can now be chain-chugged for healing if necessary.

So I had this mod around the start of last year, and I deleted and redownloaded everything and all is where it should be.  But trying to just get a new game started has ended in errors or the whole thing just quitting itself.  One thing I don't have a clue on is all the different maps.  I have tried RWG, DFLarge2-PEP, DFLarge1-noPEP, and nothing loads.  So what is the difference in the maps and which one are you supposed to use if you just have the base game and this mod?  I also couldn't get the modlauncher to run this.

Since the image don't show the 7d2d version, do you use 20.6 ?

How did you update the mod, just copy/unzip the downloaded stuff to Mods ?

I suggest that you complet delete the 7d2d steam installation. At this way you get right of all files they maybe belong to old version.

Let steam reinstal the game.

I recommend to copy these installation and use it for overhaul mods (at this way steam can't update it).

Then copy/unzip the mod files to Mods (you might need to recreate that folder).

Verify that all mod folder are at the right structure, not that you have another Mods at Mods or some Darkness-falls-main. The DF mod folder start all with numbers.

PEP is a POI-pack assembled from Khaine, similar to the combopack.

That would explain PEP noPEP maps.

RWG maps can still have the problem of missing DF story POIs (i think).

 

So far i know the modlauncher should work to instal DF too, just be sure you don't use the old 2.x anymore. You need to download the 3.x version since the 2.x don't update to 3.x by itself.

I'm playing 4.01a and I love the trader-purchasable helicopters.  But they only have 2500 hp.  I play with a couple friends and sometimes we hot drop into a mob of zombies for fun; but there is exceedingly high risk of a VERY expensive helicopter being destroyed.  that's not fun.  please raise the health of helicopters.  thanks.

Done for 4.1.1

- Updated all vehicles so they have 1500 health per grease monkey/mastery needed to make them. So bicycle/golf cart start at 1500, mastery is 9000. Purchasable flying vehicles are considered mastery vehicles and have a health of 9000.

Um... So the power went out in the middle of my game last night and now the map I was playing is not listed in the continue section. All the other worlds are there, just not the one I was playing when I lost power. The folder is still physically on my hard drive in the "Saves" section, but the game does not seem to be seeing it. Any advice on how I can solve this problem? Thanks.

When the power went out some files won't be saved correct and get corrupt.

Since on default there isn't any backup, the recovery of that world would be difficult.
You can look what files get modified at last , and when they are region files you can try to delete them, but if that would be your homebase it would be gone too.

But i don't give you much hope for it.

When you encounter more power fails, you maybe should consider to use the Backup mod.

The fertilizer in the stable version doesn't work on potatoes and mushrooms. I hadn't really paid attention because I only really used fertilizer to get my trees and supercorn going, I let the rest grow naturally. Since I put my brother in charge of farming on our co-op he discovered this. I went into the Block xml and found that fertilizer upgraded potatoes into mushroom 2 which is why I guess neither worked. I changed it and now they take fertilizer fine.

On a side note, we had our second horde night and our first with night stalkers today. He said "did something just say 'you will suffer'? Wait WTH is that?!?"

I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but I cannot find a direct answer.  Can you buy a laser workbench from Jen or anyone else and what faction level do you need with them?  I am only asking because Annie and research lab (tents in wasteland) didn't spawn on my RWG.  Yes sir, I am aware that might occur if I use RWG.  Just want to know if i need to edit in the POI's so i can get laser workbench or not.  Thanks for your attention in this matter and your mod is awesome as always.

Is there an advantage to irrigating crops ? I farm in 5x5 grids of farm plots with a rain catcher buried in the centre block which works ok, but irrigation is a thing and I can't imagine Khaine put it in there just as a more expensive shorter range rain catcher ...  Does it make things grow faster or something ? All I can gather from the journal is that my farm plots can be next to an irrigation pipe instead of the water source, so one water source and irrigation pump can feed many more plots than a rain catcher.

I can't speak for 4.1.x

But previously, you could buy the laser workbench from Jens secret stash as very rare item. I have seen helicopter much more common at Bob then the workbench at Jen.

The faction to jen isn't that important more your better barter perk which give you more and better items for the secret stash.

 

Even when Anna don't be at your map, that don't mean the Research Lab isn't there either.
At 4.03 you even could get lvl 5 fetch mission to the Research lab similar to Annas mission.

But when there is no Research Lab is present at your map the only way is to get it from Jens secret stash.

 

Next time you should check for all DF POIs before you start playing, check for a video to manual add/replace POI to a world so you don't need to create new world over and over. Or use a DF pregen map.
