  1. There's going to be a chapter titled How to respond to disrespectful, entitled console version pricks who give you @%$# because you're a PC developer first and foremost and who think you owe them something. The chapter will have one blank page and the next chapter will follow right after. šŸ˜‰
  2. Newspaper pages on the ground seem to point out to an aggressive strain of flu that decimated the population and most probably turned people into the walking corpses we now fight against. So if anything, the viral cause may be the main lead for zombification. Now, what's the origin of this strain? That remains to be seen. But so far, we clearly have classic, shambling zombies. We still need to explain the origin of the special zombies, like the acid-spitting Cop, the Screamer and the super-zombie wraith or wight or whatever's the name (i dont remember rn). And also who puts the explosive charges on the Demos. The Cop seems to be a mutation. So we could put this on effects of radioactivity. The Screamer seems to also have been affected in such way. Or we could also consider scientific experimentation on her (she's wearing a gown that's similar to those worn by people going to surgery room). The Wight seems to have developed super speed and fortitude from the radioactivity or is also a result of unorthodox experiements. Nothing indicates a supernatural cause like necromancy, or anything related to some occult and esoteric forces. So i guess we would have to rule this out. Still, the way Blood Moons affect zombies is actually very strange and this doesnt seem to be natural...
  3. I once started mining a surface node (iron i guess), just like we all do. Totally normal stuff. After clearing the node, i of course keep digging to reach the underground veins. Still totally normal stuff. Im now just 2 blocks deep. As im digging on the side of the hole, a tiny portion of the surface layer detaches, falls on me and yes, kills me. From just one layer above. Like i received a whole cave-in of several tons. I stood there with my mouth open, looking at my corpse that's, yes, totally dead. This doesnt seem to be a joke, im not moving nor clicking on "Respawn on your bed". Im trying to process how the flying blue and most remote F this just happened, for a full minute. So follow my advice and clear the surface layer of your mining shaft in a 734 feet radius, because in 7DtD, gravity is a monumental a-hole.
  4. Hahaha yes i know, i thought about this right after i posted and i said damn! šŸ˜† What i should have said is : dont ever reply to reason them, with logic and factual data. They're definitely too stubborn and entitled to assimilate anything with common sense. I do reply to some, from time to time, but only to make fun of them. Some stay quiet but others get so triggered, arguing points about that goddamn console port that have been debated and beaten to death and beyond. Its pathetic and hilarious at the same time.
  5. The Facebook comments are mostly made by ignorant and/or imbecile console players, who have nothing else to do than give @%$# to the devs, because they believe the Pimps are solely responsible for the console port failure and their awful lives. The best thing to do is NOT reply to them, trust me on this one. As Bullet Tooth Tony once said : never underestimate the predictability of stupidity. Everytime a jackass is being mean with the Pimps, i tell them to go see the devs, push them aside and show them how things are supposed to be done. I never get further replies after šŸ˜‰
  6. Yeah, well, there's constructive criticism and there's having a coronary in Caps Lock about AKs not supposed to exist on US military bases in a game where suspension of disbelief is largely used. Or losing his @%$# about having too many zombies in a house with 3 bedrooms. Like no, zombies dont walk around into any kind of building, they just chill in a house because they like the wallpaper and invite friends over for a BBQ... Jesus surfing christ šŸ˜† This guy doesnt really know about the concept of alternate reality? Yeah, thought so. At first i thought it was a joke topic and still could well be so. Anyone here taking him seriously? Not really. Creative and progressive criticism is fun, it nourishes discussions and into those can flourish great design ideas. But not this. He's free to post whatever he wants. So am i to reply what i said before.
  7. Nah, dont bother editing your post to add something more to talk (whine) about. Instead, please dont play this game and uninstall it if its making a hell of your life that much. You're welcome.
  8. Exactly. They have their place in the game and they're fun to use. Their utility is to clean groups of zombies getting too large and threatening. The fact that the damage is oriented more against entities than structures kinda tells for what they're for. The game bases itself on certain real-life parameters and concepts but we also have to consider suspension of disbelief.... I myself play games to escape reality and its fun when you can stretch nature laws around (when its well made of course). I dont play them to keep being restricted and constricted into real life. If one really wanna restrain themselves into reality, i would say 7DtD isnt the game for them. Pipe Bombs are cheap and rudimentary explosives. They shouldnt be gated behind high levels, by being too dangerous or demanding large quantities of components. I would maybe relegate them to the second level instead of the first in Demolition but that's it. They are less complex than regular and Contact Grenades, Dynamite and Timed Charges and its fine like that because they also do less damage. And its fine like that. They're still dangerous enough to keep away from the explosion, i still dont take them likely even if they're easily accessible. They do are easy to make compared to more complex devices but still, you cant have them as quickly as you find Glass Jars. You have to find Gunpowder or make some and get Pipes (by either crafting them in a Forge, wrenching cars or bed frames/sinks). And its just fine like that.
  9. The game is not fully optimized yet, and even people with high-end rigs can experience considerable performance fluctuations. Before my 8gb RX 580, i had a 4gb RX 460 and i could barely go above medium settings to have a decent time on the game, and many other settings were on low or even turned off. Now its better of course, i maintain 50-70 fps with better settings, but i still get a roller coaster of fluctuations from time to time, particularly during Blood Moons. So look at this and compare with a weak 1gb card. Take in account that the game will inevitably get more demanding as Alphas keep getting released. In other words : get a much better GPU.
  10. Your post clearly isnt long enough and should have more redundants arguments than it already has, to really catch the attention of the devs. I would have made it way longer, like 3-4 more hours of reading to clarify your point to the maximum. The developers could surely focus on your comments only and no one else's.
  11. Honestly, people complaining about this are exaggerating quite a lot. The encumbrance system is one of the most permissive i have ever seen. And you can feel real constraints when you're about 8-10 items in excess. You're not really having it hard at only 3. I've played game with much more restrictive encumbrance than that. The one in STALKER : Shadow of Chernobyl was still too easy for me. If that would be only me, i would have made it way more taxing on stamina and movement. Stacks of items would have a more significant impact. You would not be able to pick up any vehicles apart from the Bicycle and this one alone would already put encumbrance on you, even with an almost empty backpack. A more severe encumbrance feature coulde open the door to backpack crafting of various quality and available slots. Id love to see that.
  12. I built a horde base on top of a building that least 25 blocks high. The Zs go up a long ladder until they reach my spot. They then walk along a short pass where my sledge turret is positioned so that it should push them down when they are walking on the flat surface and not when they're climbing up (the sledge wont push them off the ladder). But the turret just wont do crap. I'm near it enough, it turns left and right, its placed right by the pass so it cant miss anything walking by. Its active. But the Zs just go by and nothing happens. I know the turret works because i use it on street level. But it refuses to bump anything up there. So, am i missing something about how turrets work? Has something changed so that sledge turrets wont push down Zs at a certain height so that it creates a loop and damages them from the high fall, in the process?
  13. Hahaha, this has been discussed a while ago here and we still dont have a logical explanation. They just bleed away šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ˜† Alright so i wasnt wrong. I will only get XP if i clearly deliver the killing blow. If the Bleeding DoT kills them before i strike again, or if i let them bleed out of course, they will not give XP. I verified closely again last nite and im positive on this.
  14. Im using Blade weapons right now which cause Bleeding status to zombies and im currently lvl 3 in Deep Cuts. I can cause up to 5 Bleeding wounds, which of course can deplete their HP quite fast. But i noticed that if i dont kill them quick enough with a proper strike, they ''bleed'' out and die without giving me XP. This happened quite repeatedly now. Is this something that always happened, that i wasnt aware of until now, or is there's something wrong with the game about that? I know that zombies who die from fire, if its from your own hands and you let them burn (i.e. Molotovs), give you XP, so why isnt it the same with Bleeding that i inflict? Edit : forgot to mention that im using Katanas from the HD Katanas mod. Could the issue be linked to those?
  15. Dude, the simple act of placing and removing my torch off the base of the antenna of the airport control tower made the upper part of said antenna to collapse šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø I know this is a user-made POI from the CompoPack, but still, those are build with the same parameters that the Pimps use and its kinda ridiculous that a mere torch can make buildings crumble šŸ˜†
  16. Even though console versions of the game run on an outdated alpha, does the LCB prevent sleeper zombies respawning in POIs marked by the block, like it does on PC? Some people are arguing with me that their LCB doesnt do this on console. There's even someone who told me sleepers are on PC only, claim that i strongly dont believe, but that's another story lol. Thanks.
  17. Great rework! I can now read stuff on my phone without having to pop my eyes out šŸ˜„
  18. Thank you very much Roland for that great post. I was getting a bit bored in my main game after 90 days lol. I will definitely pump up the numbers to get some more action going on.
