  1. Well, but that is an omission in the character menue already because there is no option to select transgender there. Whatever you think your toon is really male. But there is a secret recipe in the game to chemically change your toon. You can find it if you wrench up a few mines.

While some people get triggered by any mention of other sexes nowadays, addressing a toon wrongly is a simple bug just like the wrong spelling of an ingame item or calling all guns pistols in the perk menue would be. Would that be possible without making the sentences sound wrong? I didn't look up which sentences need treatment so I don't know. You can make bug reports by using the link in green on top of the forum page. Then follow the instructions there, except you don't need to add logfiles or be all too specific about your hardware. But probably a list of all critical sentences you noticed might be helpful.

  5. I don't know why you make a secret out of it, ideas luckily are still not protectable by patents or copyright. I would disagree. There are some notable subgenre ideas or concepts that started as a mod, the League-of-Legends and battle royales and a handful others, but for each of them I can list two concepts that started as an indie game. For example the 4 subgenres which were started by Minecraft, Dwarf Fortress, Factorio and Slay the Spire. My "mathematical sense" had a heart attack when you said this 😉. Something is either exactly like something else or it is different, but not both. I assume you simply wanted to say it is very similar. TFP changed the system of A17 because it made some abilities too fast to progress in. A system with progressive costs the higher you go into a perk (what you seem to propose here) would certainly have some advantages. But also maybe the disadvantage of making it too easy to get your prefered perk selection and then sticking with it in every game, which eventually will lead you to hurt replayability. Not everything a player wants is also beneficial to him. The other aspect is that 7D2D is near the end of development where redesigns will only happen if they can be done with minimal effort or the system in place is too bad to go into release with it. For example a perk tree concept would need a redesign of the UI, the current list design can't adequately represent a tree. And it would need rebalancing of perks. Not to say that a rebalancing of some of the perks isn't needed anyway, but at the current time my impression is that TFP is satisfied with the current perk system and will probably only do isolated corrections to specific perks. And any discussions about a new perk systems would only apply to a sequel of 7D2D.

  7. How about doing the fix again and starting with the easier target of an 8k world ? If that works you at least know to ignore 16k worlds from now on. If it doesn't work the problem is elsewhere.
  8. Then use the console (F1) and enter "listents". It will list all players and all vehicles and show their position. You can see if there is a vehicle at your position but maybe high in the sky. Not sure there is a command to delete a vehicle (try "help"), if not, as a last resort you can delete ALL vehicles by deleting the file vehicles.dat in your savegame.

If you fear for your local games you can always make a backup of C:\Users\Sylen\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\SaveGame (or just "Save") and maybe C:\Users\Sylen\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Worlds, before any critical operations. If you then make a mistake, you will find the savegame in SaveGame and locally generated worlds in Worlds in your backup and can just copy them back.

  14. What you describe is exactly what happens when the connection to the server gets lost. The logfile says the same, there is no error message, just the info that the connection to the server is lost. Happens in my group as well, one specific player in my group often has it multiple times in a play session, yesterday we all were disconnected like this. We can only guess about the deeper reason that one of us gets it all the time. It could be a bug in the network code or some special thing happening anywhere between his PC and the server.

  16. Very very very very unlikely. Did you see what happened with Cyberpunk2077? The same problem exists with 7D2d, it may not look like it needs powerful PCs, but on account of being a voxel game it actually does. Just read the blog post that you can reach from the red banner above.
  17. You seem to be long enough here to have played A17. A17 had your proposed system in general and the devs redesigned it to what we have now. There is littel chance that they will go back to a system they already tried and found wanting
  18. If I remember correctly the LCB was mainly a PvP item. I don't play PvP so I can't really speak if it was or still is valuable for that. AFAIK unless you are in a group or friends with someone, his LCB will make any block in range have additional hitpoints. If you want to loot his base while he is offline these additional HPs can take a lot of time to break through. Much better to locate the LCB and target it first. Locating it is easy as you can hit surrounding blocks until you find ones with more hitpoints. On the other hand you could just surround it with lots and lots of steel blocks so I'm not so sure this is the real reason why it has so many HPs. Does anyone have a better idea? It is perfectly possible that the HPs of the LCB are just a feature someone thought would be needed by PVP players but in reality nobody depends on it for base defense (anymore)

What I meant was that because INTs own weapons still let you use your hands you already have lots of weapons for Intellect, i.e. all the weapons of other attributes are useable for an Intellect player as well. If you are a strength player for example, it does not make much sense to have a pistol as well, because you can't use them both at the same time. But as INT player you can use your turrets AND and a shotgun at the same time.
  20. But there are ultra-realistic games, even when they add a central fantasy like magic or faster than light or time travel. This is just a choice the developer makes and it isn't set in stone. For example the zombie adventure made by Telltale was as realistic as possible, but still had zombies. Now we "insiders" have read all the arguments and we know why 7d2d can't be very realistic. We have the advantage of having thought about this subject multiple times and tested our arguments in discussions. Our good arguments are common knowledge, our wrong arguments are forgotten since someone told us the reason why they were wrong. Lots of newcomers to this forum make a "bad" first post in which they demand stuff that we know will never happen. If they get some sort of new player protection for their first steps they sometimes become valuable contributors to the forum and for example report bugs that otherwise might stay a lot longer in the game or make a mod or build a nice POI that we all profit from. But for that to happen you have to give newcomers the chance to drop bad habits learned from arguing in steam forums 😁
  21. More range weapons for intellect? Why? Intellect already has 4 shotguns, 3 rifles, 3 machine guns and 4 pistols and revolvers. 😉
  22. The best method to find out more is to start a separate vanilla game and see if the problem turns up there too. To play modded and unmodded at the same time just make a copy of the installation directory and remove the mod folder there. Then start the copied version by executing 7d.launcher.exe (or something similar) directly. You have to have steam running for the copy to work.

  25. Usually people don't have good neodyms around, so I tell them how to reach the same effect with common household chemicals, a lighter and a knife. Much safer that way, you could pinch your finger with a good neodym 😁
