No can do, I don’t want to have to maintain several versions and as we now have stepped into the world of Harmony we have opened doors for a lot deeper and heavier modding than ever before. Things that can not be in a EAC enabled environment.

Bigger backpack not working.  Tried just the smallest but no go.  Then expanded to the 96? and still not working.  Then looked at the log file below :

Well, the first issue is that it isn't updated yet. And the second issue is that it doesn't work like that, those big bag mods depend on SMXui, which also isn't updated yet. :)

Pushed another update of SMXhud, SMXlib and SMXmenu

I added a new feature with this update of SMXhud where you get an explanation of what the different UI elements are by holding TAB and when the radial menu shows up you just mouse over the HUD element you are unsure about and it will give you a short description of what it is. An example in the screenshot below.

There are two "hidden" features with doing that, mousing over the level will reveal how much XP you will need to get to the next level and mousing over the backpack in the corner will reveal some details like how many slots are free. Like can be seen in the example.

 

This is a new feature for us and we will continue to build on it when we see the need. Feel free to give feedback if you feel anything should be covered by this.

Im close to 1000h mark (dont play much, just been around for a longe time) and i think at least 1/3 of those time was under SMX, if not more.

Well, if you're interested I think I can help with that...

If you do the following you will get bars.

 

1. Open the windows.xml file in the SMXhud/Config/XUi folder.

2. Search for the term water. There are only two entries so it will take you to the correct place.

3. You will see something called rects, on those rects there are some attributes called "stat_type". The value in here decide which bar it will show. Swap Water and Stealth. You have now moved the water orb to become the stealth bar and vice versa.

4. Find the sprite with the name="Icon" on that line there is an attribute called "sprite". Swap Water and Stealth. You have now swapped their icons around.

5. Same line as above, find the attribute called "color". Swap Water and Stealth. You have now swapped their colors around.

6. Find the line with the name="TextContent". Now this is important. Starting from the text attribute swap the rest of the lines between Water and Stealth.

 

If done correctly your unit frame should now look like this...and you will again have bars. It is not "perfect" but hopefully it will be good enough :)

Latest release - the level indicator in the upper left hand corner isn't showing. All the code is there (or at least appears to be, to my novice eye), it just doesn't show up.

 

I tried uncommenting some stuff that looked like it might be part of that module, but it didn't help.

 

 

Edit - Tried using the larger format section as well, still no go.

Forgive me if this is a ridiculous question as I am wholly unfamiliar with the capabilities of harmony or its implementation here, but I did notice your commented section for the toolbelt in the smxhud window.xml and it made me wonder. You mention that toolbelt control is now dynamic and how you can change its size by adjusting the listed values. My question is, does this extend to the columns? Like, can I simply change them to something like 15 to get 5 additional toolbelt slots or is that just silly? I know that Khaine has a mod to do just that and that Robear has also added in compatibility between that mod and smxhud, but I just wondered if that was even necessary now or ift those values can simply be altered at will. No biggie if not or anything just curious at what can be done by a pleb like myself and how easy or difficult it would be to do.

Well, you could always do that but you wouldn’t get functional slots without backend code changes which SMX doesn’t have currently. Robears patch and Khaine’s 15 slot mod would need to be used.

 

What that comment is in regards to is the way the control node work. Normally those are static, meaning you have to edit all the lines to change the sizes. What I did here is have those calculate themselves based on the values in windows.xml.

 

So it comes down to size changes of the slots themselves, not how many of them there are or anything like that.

I see. That makes sense. I thought it may be the case as the columns variable was specifically not mentioned in your commented section. I figured I'd ask to be certain though. Thanks for the response and thank you very much for the amazing mods:) I passed over them in a19 as I was new to the game and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of SMX/ZMX mods, addons, compatibility patches and the like. I deeply regret that decision now.

Have you tried reinstalling the modlets?

 

What are you running on? Windows, Mac, Linux?

 

Resolution? Any setting changes in the game scale wise?

Kinda feel like I maybe should have documented it. The same thing happened to my son-in-law with a different UI mod a couple of weeks ago.

 

Put a UI mod on a thumb drive for him, one that I was currently using so I knew it was working (waiting for yours to update, honestly :) ) and it didn't work at all for him. Checked his file structure and all that jazz and everything was correct, the UI just wouldn't load. And then miraculously, he played a few days later and it started working.

 

Edit - I have noticed that Steam has been performing unprompted validations on this game more often than it used to and almost always downloads something when it does so.
