  1. Listen, I live in Appalachia so I can't throw a rock without hitting a church. One of them even handles snakes. That doesn't mean a game can't have a little more balance.
  2. After playing with random generated maps for a weekend and exploring everyone I rolled I've come to the conclusion that certain POIs are weighted too heavily. For instance churches. Every town I come across seems to have multiple. I also have a map with 3 Shamway factories all in a 4x4 block city. I have yet to find a city without one yet it took me three cities to find a single bookstore.
  3. Potatoes. Always go with potatoes. Just make sure to have a few lemon trees.
  4. Me too. The last time I went to a restaurant I asked for a table close to the kitchen. They put me in the alley. I tell ya, I get no respect. One time I checked into a hotel and asked for the same treatment they'd give their mothers. They locked me up in the basement.
  5. One in my chosen melee weapon, one in my chosen armor style, one in Iron Gut and the other in Master Chef. Usually by then I already have a few other points to spend so I usually dump a point in Iron Gut and LotL.
  6. Not an intentional troll by the game but the first time I took a gyrocopter up I managed to accidentally jump out in mid-air. Fortunately I survived that with 10 hp. Then the gyrocopter landed on me and killed me. I think I laughed for a solid 5 minutes.
  7. @friendlyx3 I didn't even get shown that result. One of the many reasons why FB is a crapshoot no matter what.
  8. Sometimes it helps to view things in another's perspective but I'll take a pass on discussing anyone else's issues. 😝
  9. Are you referring to the Public Facebook group? I don't see where it's managed by TFP anywhere. It appears to have been started by SaltyZombies server group.
  10. How difficult should the LCB be to craft and how does that affect new players and games? When exactly should they be able to claim land? I think they're fine as is. You can only have one. If you want to discourage other players in a MP game then when they move theirs, go and put one down and claim their abandoned stuff.
  11. I don't think I'm 100% up on the game lore for the zombies but I've always wondered how so many people became zombies if all it takes is honey and the occasional antibiotic. To me the zombies combined with the AI kind of gives the impression that the virus is an alien hive mind/colony sort of creature.
  12. I've only seen it snow once or twice in the last 200 hrs or so and it didn't do it at all until a friend joined my game. No rain unless its on the biome border with the snow biome too. I've wondered if something is up myself.
  13. Woah, lets not go calling people gun nuts. I am a rifle enthusiast, sportsman and hunter. Besides, I've never seen a rifle bear any kind of fruit or seed at all.
  14. I own a Riley Defense AK47 and I'm American. Just sayin.
  15. For anyone interested there is a sister world that has the big cities in the forest and snow biomes instead: HadesGamma -2038308848
  16. I don't have a preview but I rolled a good world the other day with a smaller sized forest and several big wasteland and burned forest cities. The seed is HadesDelta or -2138807949 I don't know how to check and see what all Tier5 structures there were there but there seemed to be plenty.
  17. None of those are decent enough alternatives to just hitting them again. One requires you to wiggle until you find the right spot to pick it back up which is easier said than done and the other requires you to carry around a bunch of spears. Do they stack if they're modded? Never tried because rifle ammo stacks.
  18. The problem with spears vs the other melee weapons is there is no power attack. Yes, you can throw it and hope that kills the zombie, but why would you?
  19. Zombie clowns, the only thing that truly terrifies me.
  20. While I don't find traveling a burden, I'm not opposed to fast travel. Some games do it well (Black Desert, RDR2, etc) and some games do it poorly like Bethesda games where you just pop up at the location with your horse or whirlybird. What the problem is with 7D2D is time management which is meant to be part of the challenge. I kind of like the auto-path methods but I don't think the roads are good enough for AI pathing. We've all seen 200 meter paved cliffs.
  21. I have a 12 year old and he's allowed to play with me for 4 hours on the weekends. So far he's used up all of my explosives, all my 7.62 ammo and my first aid chest. There's also a giant pit in front of my base. He's mature enough for his age to handle the gore (he's played more gory games and seen zombie movies with me) but I wouldn't let him play until they changed the stripper zombie. We found the Shotgun Messiah Shooting Range the other day. It was awesome.
  22. I have mastered the art of dismounting, turning around and spearing them to death. Getting on a bike seems to be the most effective way to get them to come down. Not nearly as bad as last week when I went back to Alpha 16 for funsies and my muscle memory moved me back and around a step in response to the way the zombies used to do that stagger thing. I had completely forgotten about it.
  23. My Trader Jen lives way out in the wasteland. She's nice but man that commute.
  24. This isn't an MMO. A 4-6 month update schedule just isn't that reasonable. It requires large teams to crank out that much crap content at that pace.
  25. 2GB video ram is pretty low by current standards. Does your rig do ok running the game now?
