  1. Thanks for your hard work, xyth! I guess we all will have to wait a bit longer for the best mod to show up in its full glory in Alpha 19.
  2. Not a new thing, but I absolutely love that it takes 24 Forged Irons to craft Claw Hammer and 25 Forged Irons to craft Workbench.
  3. When YOU start talking about issues that might be hard to solve, I'm getting worried. What are the issues about?
  4. @xyth, since you're here, I'd like to ask you how soon do you think we can expect a new version of NPCs DMT mod updated for Alpha 19 after Alpha 19 release?
  5. What's the hurry? Alpha 19 will be out tomorrow, Subquake may as well wait for Alpha 20 if it needs to be that way, because everyone will be busy playing Alpha 19 anyway - vanilla or with their favorite mods from Alpha 18.
  6. Use admin smg to remove blocks under them. This will cause that they will lose stability and get destroyed. You can then fix the missing blocks of terrain or any other type of blocks that was removed in the process.
  7. What I was trying to say is basically that BackpackButtonsSDX is not the mod I'm using and it's most likely the one KhaineGB mentioned as the one for Alpha 17, so I would be surprised if it worked without issues in Alpha 18... Anyway, if you want to try the versions of these two mods that I'm using and that actually work, you can find them here: 10 Slot Toolbelt Backpack Buttons
  8. BackpackButtonsSDX? You know SDX mods are no longer used, SDX was replaced with DMT, so if you're using a deprecated SDX mod, it might cause some issues, especially when combined with a more recent DMT mod like 10 Slot Toolbelt. Not saying this is what's happening in your case, but it's quite possible, I would check that out. I believe there's a new version of a mod which does the same as BackpackButtonsSDX, except it doesn't require SDX. The thing is that the backpack buttons are already there, just not visible and so the new version which is xml only is just making those buttons visible. You should try that newer version instead and see if it has any effect on your 10 Slot Toolbelt mod. It's from the same author as 10 Slot Toolbelt mod and I've been using both with no issues. By the way, it is possible to have a custom folder name, you just have to make sure the mod name inside ModInfo.xml is the same as the name of the folder where it's located. Doing so also prevents Mod Launcher from creating empty mod folders with only ModInfo.xml in them.
  9. What was the location you downloaded 10 Slot Toolbelt from? Try the one from this link. It's KhaineGB's official gitlab repository.
  10. You're welcome, just to be clear I meant the 10 Slot Toolbelt mod. Just replace the whole mod with a freshly downloaded copy and it should work again. The problem is definitely in the pdb file as it's the only file that has changed over time. Sphereii was mentioned as one of the authors of the mod, so I asked him what's wrong with that mod. He checked it out but couldn't reproduce the issue. Then I informed him that the problem is probably in the pdb file, but he never replied to my message, so I kinda gave up on a chance for a better solution than just replacing the whole thing every time it may act up again.
  11. Same happened to me. It's the pdb file that causes this problem. Not sure what's wrong with it, but I solved it by downloading a fresh copy of the mod and replacing the one in the Mods folder with this fresh copy.
  12. No idea there, sorry.
  13. The thing is that if you go too fast ie you just keep teleporting, the chance of finding them is very low. The game must first actually spawn them into the world for you to be able to find them and spawning takes some time after loading the chunk of the world, so if you are switching places quickly, the game won't be able to let them spawn around you, so it will look like if there are no NPCs at all. I've figured this out the hard way wasting several real world hours fast exploring / flying / teleporting all over the map only to realize I'm doing it wrong and I should go much slower so that the game has actually enough time to spawn some NPCs around me. Try it, you will see it will work.
  14. Instead of turning enemy spawning off completely, make a mod that will remove zombie groups from spawning and only leave animals, assuming that is what you're after.
  15. If it's supposed to be disabled, it's disabled - I believe. Maybe people are simply expecting that this feature is enabled while it really isn't. I guess having some feature tracker would help people to see what's already implemented, what isn't, what is enabled and what is not enabled yet.
  16. Ugh, I wanted to try that peaceful approach to resolve this situation so that we all would come to agreement and understanding. I guess my approach to prevent the escalation of the situation failed...
  17. I dare you to tell the same to devs when they release Alpha 19! 🤣
  18. Yeah, pretty much this. From my own experience, you don't want to rush the release, only to have to reupload the fixed version of it just because there was some stupid little bug you missed in the original version that you uploaded. It happens and it's frustrating for both the author and players.
  19. Just relax, everything is going to be all right. We all are waiting for something new, something cool that would keep us entertained while we all wait for A19, I know how you feel, but let me share something with you. It's something that may give you a different perspective on this: We all like new mods, no one really likes to wait, there's nothing wrong about getting that off of your chest. It's ok, I do believe that we all deep inside do understand you well as we are all on the same boat with you. But have you ever tried to make your own mods while you wait for a new Alpha or even a new version of your favorite mod? It's kinda fun I must tell you. You will learn a lot of interesting stuff about the game, about modding and even some bit of programming and possibly 3d modelling. One of the things you will learn while modding is that it's not too easy, but it's still fun once you get the hang of it and you could create some awesome stuff in minutes depending on how complex your mod would be, but to make something more complex, it takes a long time and requires a lot of testing, so that the final product is as polished as you as a mod author want your mod to be and you usually want to do your best, because it's your work and you want it to stand out, even if it's just something simple, right? So you make sure it's just perfect before you even think about releasing it. Ultimately this will lead you to different thoughts: As you wait for something cool, you will often think that you may as well start making your own stuff for fun, to pass the time while you wait and maybe for others to enjoy too, because why not? We all love mods, right? And once you start making your own mods, you will probably see why some mod authors don't rush to release their mods too. More complex mods, especially overhauls that are basically like a lot of small modlets combined into one huge mod take a lot of time to create and a lot of time to test to see if everything works as intended. I hope this will help you think differently about this.
  20. Calm down, I'm not responding on behalf of anyone, simply saying my opinion based on what I've seen here so far - there were requests, even some small bug fix suggestions with some direct hints at solutions that would probably require less work than what you're asking for and those requests and suggestions were not answered to this day, but of course if you still believe that your request will be an exception, by all means feel free to make a request. All I was saying is that the chance is low and there's no reason for irritated reactions. That is as constructive as it can get as I was trying to save your time, but do what you want.
  21. Sorry, but if you followed the whole thread, you would know that it's been a while since this mod was updated for the last time. I think we shouldn't expect any changes, which is unfortunate, because this mod was a pretty nice one, but yeah, it's what it is right now and it probably won't change any time soon...
  22. Yay, finally some good news! Thanks! PS: Inb4 Guppy's "About time..." post. 😇 @Guppycur
  23. I could be wrong, but I don't think you're supposed to use the npc home block at the moment.
  24. You know what's funny? Texture streaming is what's supposed to prevent you from running low on texture memory. It seems like the feature could use some bugfixing...
