Ever try to go back and play DAoC after all these years? It was very painful for me. Too painful. I found it easier to go back and play Asheron's Call.

Imagine you've been playing for hours, looting stuff, improving your gear, etc. Then your computer crashes. What happens for me is that my inventory is reset to whatever it was at the start of my session but every other change in the world seems to be saved. Why does this work this way? Is there any chance that my inventory could be saved each time I alter the inventory of another container? What harm could that do?

It would be nice is we could take a sort of screenshot of our base and save it as a POI. Basically, have it save everything in the area marked off by our land claim block in some editable format.

So if sensors were on opposite sides of the door what would happen when the door opened? You approach the closed door and sensor1 opens the door. Sensor2 sees you through the open door and then closes the door. That would be funny if it worked that way.

Shooting someone and making them infected would be interesting. When used on zombies it should turn them into NPCs by curing them.

The crafting grid used to be a thing. It won't be again in this game, at least. Once it gets complicated enough to require a "book of patterns" or the like then what is the point? You're essentially using recipes anyway. And with the Internet leaking everything it's not like there will be much of a challenge to "discover" patterns. Also, there's the XML to peek at... no secrets here.

A simple version of "permadeath" this game could implement would be: Delete everything on you Reset your character to level one Reset all of your skills Reset all extra books you have found Unlink you to beds, claim blocks, and anything else tied to your former self Stuff within your old claim block becomes "neutral" and you must gain access like any other player would have to in multiplayer. No need to delete the save and it works in single player and multiplayer.
