  1. My port to the C64 is nearly complete and on a test run I think I've heard the first note of the opening tune on the main menu after only a few months. This will be epic.
  2. What is the nature of this apocalypse? But if there are no details then a sturdy short blade would be my first choice. With that I can make other tools and even acquire what is needed to make fire. As for hot sauce... something spicy enough to kill germs and bland flavor at the same time would be preferable.
  3. Leave now while you still have a life.
  4. They really should have given broken glass some sort of food value, though, and possibly make it a 100% cure for infection.
  5. Sharp sticks are always the answer. At least when the answer isn't feral ziplines.
  6. Makes me glad Linux doesn't have a registry.
  7. It was, for sure, and especially levels 50+. But I haven't played in 10 years or so.
  8. I remember when EverQuest was called NeverQuest.
  9. Is there ever a good Geoff?
  10. Bandits could be an opportunity for stealth quests. "Sneak in and get the thing or rescue the person and then make it out undetected". That sort of thing.
  11. It's the apocalypse... roadmaps are more suggestion than anything else.
  12. Baby Animal vampire zombie Yoda, or Bavzy for short, at your service.
  13. Not exactly the way they work, though. They will build good to great systems, much better than "good enough", and leave lots of room for us to build on top of them if we choose. They will also build new content over time, I would guess official an unofficial, as well as tweak things that have minimal chance to break the ecosystem to improve overall game play. In other words, they will not likely ever completely abandon 7DTD. Someone will likely build an overhaul mod making 7DTD into Sesame Street, for example. Today's horde brought to you by the number 7 and the letters F and U. Well, it could happen.
  14. You forgot to add feral ziplines to that list.
  15. Roland secretly thinks I'm, like, totally cool and stuff.
  16. Umm... yes, it is. They asked for a way to reveal the map on a freshly started game to see biomes and city locations. What I showed does EXACTLY that.
  17. Actually... there is a way in game now. Go into debug mode (F1 then type dm and press <enter>). Bring up the map. In the upper-right corner there is an icon with the hint of "Switch to Static Map view". Click that icon and then you will see < No Overlay > appear to the left of the icon. Click the right arrow twice to see < Biomes >. Now scroll around your map to see what you want to see.
  18. Mostly the interface. In the old days I played mostly Hibernia (druid, warden, and mentalist) and Albion (paladin, reaver, and necromancer). I played a LOT of alts in that game.
  19. In all fairness this game is like the Hotel California... you can check out but you can never leave.
