It depends on the resolution you run it on and as I cannot test all the resolutions you kinda have to mess around with it yourself. 1920x1080 . yea I checked the xmls and looks like your fixes are in place. If you're using Notepad++ to view and edit the xml files, I recommend using the XML Tools plugin. It's one less step in checking the validity of your xml. I find it much more convenient than any other tool for checking my code, since I write it in N++ anyway. (Sorry for the brief hijacking) installed the tools. so i did the XML check syntax, 0 errors. now i click the validate now button and it pops up a window saying to select the XML schema..... what do they mean by that ? thx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

KorruptkSwades Posted September 19, 2016 Share Posted September 19, 2016 I would go with reducing it first. so i followed a small hunch and reinstalled 7dtd fresh - tested it. then installed valmods extended - tested it. then made your hud compatible with valmods extended and installed it and tested it and no ghost lines ^^ ! so it would have, highly probably, been the backpack extension settings and the ui scaling that did that. so i am dropping that mod anyways cause it cause a bunch of crap when i died ig... >.< (good mod though) thanks for the help ! No, all the buff windows work. Its just that not all buffs show up on the standard frames. The enhanced frames show every buff and debuff you are inflicted with while the standard frames only show the "important stuff" the 9's are only there to hide ui elements that cannot be disabled with other means. The global style key error: There is a bug in windows.xml, more precisely the color value for the SMXLevelXPBar sprite on line 52 under the SMXLevelXPUF1 window in windows.xml. I've accidentally left the [] in place when changing the color value. Remove the [] and that should take care of that. change color="[255,255,255]" into color="255,255,255" The NRE: This is because I've left the enhanced buff frames on in the xui.xml file when I packed it up. I normally switch to the standard frames so that it is DS friendly but forgot this time. This can be rectified by editing xui.xml and swapping the buff frame on line 91 from 4 to 1 or 2 depending on which size you'd like. Instructions are in the file. This error only happens on DS and multiplayer. [ATTACH=CONFIG]17096[/ATTACH] This happens when the game cannot find the sprites and that means that you either have the folder incorrectly placed or you have modified the code so that the sprites cannot be found. So unless you have modified the code then the position of the Mods folder is the only thing that can affect this. Check the Mods folder path and make sure it is correct. It should be "...\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Mods\SMX\ItemIcons". If the path deviates from that you will need to make changes so that it is correct. Also check that the "ModInfo.xml" file is located inside the SMX directory of the Mods path. You can also check the console when you log into the game. Press F2 to open the console then scroll up and verify that it loads SMX. No the smudge thingy should not be visible. I am aware of that and will see to get it fixed in the next release.
