DaPope
Good morning survivors, I found some time to work on it while waiting for my helicopter to arrive ... so ... New version up: smx16b129er01 - DOWNLOAD Changes with this update: Compatibility update for build 129. There were no big changes to the files this time around either. The Pimps did a very small change to the controls.xml file and that is what broke the b119 version. Enjoy -S THE ♥♥♥♥? you got a helicopter? you tryna date? lol thank you

thebeerholder
Didn't the toolbelt light up before? Telling you which item you had selected. I'm scrolling with my mouse and getting lost now haha. Haven't used this since 15.2 though.

Haven't used this since 15.2 though. Hmmm, It does light up just fine when I am testing it here right now. I changed the behavior between 105 and 112 I think it was. I removed the stock square and added a custom sprite to it that is more in line with the look I am going for. The highlighted one might be more subtle now but it is there. If you don't see it you might have and incorrectly positioned Mods folder, as that is where it finds the sprite. But then you should also have missing health and stamina bars and xp bar. Okumba
Dedicated servers do not push some files to clients, including icons. So if the UI mod uses custom icons, these icons have to be loaded manually on each client, or ( i think) you can edit the xml files to point to a hosted location for each image file. Look in the windows.xml file in the UI folder for commented out sections offering the location of these online icons. Is this really possible? Pointing from the xml path to a http file? Would be awesome. I tried these three: texture="@url:http://..." texture="@file:http://..." texture="http://..." Seems not to work Edit/Update: While the @url and @file versions show errors in log and the missing sprite ingame, the last one (texture="http://...") shows no error and also does not show the missing sprite ingame, there is just no texture at all. Okumba
Try this one: texture="@http://url/file.ext" This is working, thank you. Working for everything that is not defined as a sprite in the iconatlas. Will try to figure that out.

If you want to work with sprites you have to either use defined sprites with the sprite="defined_spritename" or you can use custom sprites with the sprite="customspritename" and add atlas="itemiconatlas" to the line. The custom sprites must be located as follows: "...\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Mods\Modname\ItemIcons\customspritename.png" and must be 116 wide x 80 high. Basicly just trying to use your mod on our server without the need for the clients to download anything to their client manually. For convenience and we have a fast webserver. If you have the time, could you give me one example line how to rewrite your itemiconatlas sprites (using the mod folder) to a sprite="defined_spritename" with an URL version? frallaOP
MacOS visual problem Goodmorning sir, as in the object, I have some trouble using your mod on macOS!... 😱😔 My situation: I use to play with a couple of friends, one of them is the host of our world (running windows) and has installed your mod as from your instructions: he has no problem at all. By the way, when i log into the server with my iMac or my MacBook I have some video problems as you can see in the screenshot attached... I even tried to install the mod in my game folder (application support/steam/steamapps/common/7 days to die/... ) but I suppose it's not the right place from the moment that I have the same issues with his server. The game folder stated above is the one that I open through Steam -> 7d2d -> properties -> browse local files... Even if I try to start a new world it works like there is no mod, just the normal view. I hope that I gave you all the information needed! Ps.: Thank you very much for your hard work, I saw how it should be and wow, simply amazing! 😃
pudge1987
MacOS compatable? Couldn't find much via the search thread function, but is there a way to install SMX on a mac? I run a server for a few friends and have a mac user that is saying he can't use it. Would there be a way to modify file paths or something in the files as needed to reflect a macOS? There used to be some issues with Mac users back in A15 but as far as I know they are resolved now so I think all he needs to do is either install SMX as he would for singleplayer or if he doesn't want it for SP get the Mods folder only to his 7DTD root directory and it should work. Or so is the feedback I've gotten on the matter. I do not own a Mac so I have to rely on what the users tell me

Joccob
When I try to use this mod, it causes slight lag when I craft items, especally when I have level 5 quick crafting perk. And it works fine if I close the inventory.

CombatLoaded
Changed the logo in the upper right and in the menu, and it won't load for clients on the server... I put the file in the mods/smx/textures/misc folder and have the correct name. It's working for me, but I have it locally... What am I doing wrong? You need to send your updated Mods folder to the clients also. If you change the code to look for a new file name they do not have that file in their Mods folder. But you do have the file so it does work for you. The best way to change that logo is to just overwrite the file with the new logo with the same file name. That way you do not have to change any code and no clients will have issues if they do not have the new logo as their game will just show the old one instead.
