In the texture atlas 21 alpha already had miner and nomad armor, actually here is the atlas where you can see them: https://imgur.com/a/Zg41r1f Agree that in the files of 21 alpha texture icons of these armor looks better than the same armor but already on the release directly in the game. I'm new to this forum, I don't quite understand how things work here, but I'd like to hear an answer from the moderators or directly from the developers as to why this is so? I'm not demanding, I'm just really curious why such high-quality icons went under the knife. Icon miner's outfit well straight very cool looking, it even shows that you wear a uniform and not just a chestplate... Roland Posted October 25 Share Posted October 25 My chatty guess is that those two were the first two done as tests and were not finalized in A21. Once the rest were done the original two were revisited and changes were made to make them more consistent with the rest. The miner outfit wasn't even a finished outfit as an A21 icon but just a pile of components. If all the rest of the outfits had the put-together outfit as their icons but the miner outfit was still just a pile of components, that wouldn't be very unified. IMO, I think the v1.0+ look a lot better. It's kind of like looking at the stuff from Fallout 2/3 and then going to Fallout 4 seeing the differences. They are still nice, but I feel the more realistic rendering is slightly more beautiful than the others.
