  1. The 64 zombies is how many max can spawn at a time for a horde night. 8 zombies is too little and can take a lot longer than 64. You've both got a varying playstyle, but I'd reckon the ammo amount would roughly total near the same amount if y'all didn't use any.
  2. We have Oh @%$#z Drops which negate 100% fall damage for 5-10 minutes. Look in those vending machines!
  3. I've uploaded the spreadsheet to Google Drive, the link is here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PbeV3Yqh918DWQw3f09L-ehRHvOG7rUO?usp=sharing It's a major mess. It got the job done and for video settings I had grass distance set to low, and everything else set to ultra. DoF and motion blur were disabled. I put a note section on the far right which is just a giant blob of text so I wish you the best of luck going through all of it. I took note of everything as I saw it. https://pastebin.com/qBFtuHxZ. From what I've gathered, it seems that the wilderness and POI zombies don't have their information being as backed up anymore. In A19.6, there were times it didn't matter how much I explored, I wouldn't see a zombie for 4-5 in game days unless they were in POIs. Since city tiles are now technically POIs, it doesn't have everything as obstructed as before (at least from what I've gathered and my very limited knowledge).
  4. I can do that, I'll be turning on cheat mode and giving myself a bicycle, a side by side Q1 shotgun, quality 1 stone sledgehammer, and all scrap armor quality level 3. As I don't have a save on a pre-gen world I'll just make one and go from there, it is a weekend after all! I'll take the time to jot the numbers down and see if I can't come up with a spreadsheet
  5. Forgive me for assuming you meant me and not you, I didn't comprehend that part. I find it relatively easy, on worlds where I constantly explore and don't kill anything i see. Then I see absolutely nothing after 2-3 days other than a random stray. The moment I begin killing anything again though, especially at spawn is where things start getting fixed. Then you have the issue of having explored so far and chunks being rendered to the point it's probably best to restart anyway. I have made threads on this before and the answers I got were "you're not exploring far enough and depleting spawns in your area, or you're going too far out and not killing anything". Thus I decided to restart my game every in-game day at 04:00 and I've never had an issue since. Me and Roland had a tiny conversation about deer, he said they're a night creature (which I don't think we're both sure of). I am sure though that after a game closure and reopen can allow a deer to spawn during the day as I saw a deer within the first minute of spawning, then again at 07:00 the next day (with restarts at 04:00 roughly). As you said though, it's hard to get concrete evidence since the logs don't provide anything, but I can tell it fixes a lot of problems. Many people were saying they didn't see any zombies and maybe an animal without any restarting. Meanwhile I happen to be the one restarting and I can't travel on a road for 600m without seeing and killing at least 5 chickens, rabbits, maybe a boar and a deer. Chickens and rabits are plentiful and I get around 3 stacks of meat by day 3-4.
  6. The plates don't break anything for me personally, but if you put them on the ceiling of a 2 block high wall, zombies physically couldn't get through without breaking the plate first, but since they can crouch the block hp doesn't matter anymore. It will matter again when zombies can climb through 1 meter holes, but even then there are better ways to go about it with poles and what not.
  7. I agree, we've been letting it slide for A19. Though it's a serious issue when I'm level 67 and everyone else is only 40. If it doesn't get implemented then I'll have to take the time to build 3 different horde bases (maybe 4) for me and my couple friends that play this game. Then I'll have to set them up,, but make them place the blade and fence traps so we can all have our own personal horde base. "Who's the lowest level? .. alright, we're going to stay at your horde base for the next 7 days" is what it'll come down to.
  8. Read the A21 roadmap, water is planning to get overhauled for A21
  9. Interesting. This is a completely new save at day 1. Guess it's already time to start over, hopefully they can figure out why my saves are crashing upon exiting and rejoining them.
  10. https://pastebin.com/dBNQiiC4 OS: Windows 10 Game type: Single-player After the game crashes when joining a world I recently exited, I can then re-open the game and continue the save I tried to join without an issue.
  11. I can't give you specifics, but loot bags disappear after a given time in order to free up items in the world.
  12. All of that makes sense aside from the part where you do it unpaid.. you really can't be bothered to just play a game of which you moderate and close it every hour as opposed to 2-4? Very little testing needs to be done, the point is if you notice a difference in enemy spawns or anything getting backed up and not being removed as it should.
  13. I noticed that I had massive issues with the skyscraper in general even with occlusion enabled and having my settings set to low/medium. Unless you have a beefy computer that you don't mind running on potato settings, Dishong Tower is not where you should be currently. Edit: I just saw another post about entirely crashing when doing a quest there, I didn't realize it was that bad. When I ran it I wasn't doing a quest .
  14. I digress, if it can be modded by us in minutes, surely the devs can add it in with a slider within 3 hours max as lingering code is there from other sliders which can act as a rough template if needed. I don't mind what they do, but that argument is redundant. They're not going to delay content because of a slider, they're gonna delay content for stuff that takes too long to implement or personal things. For instance, water and bandits as A21 will be the main focus of. (As far as we are currently concerned). There are mods that do it, but I wouldn't mind an option within the game so I don't have to go through the hassle of getting a mod for it, or risking a mod breaking the game.
  15. https://www.nexusmods.com/7daystodie/mods/1770/?tab=files Took a lot longer, and was a lot more challenging than I had suspected since I haven't modded in a while. Here is your mod and I hope your happy with how it turned out. Feel free to make any changes to it, if you so desire!
  16. I went back through the known issues for A20 to see if it's still there. It says: PC 317 Game doesn’t shut down properly on PC and Linux after long play session
  17. I believe it's LOS, but we do give off a scent trail since A18 from what I remember. So we can still be tracked through blocks albeit lightly
  18. I got the 2.9 days from the respawn delay mistakingly thinking it was when the game did garbage cleanup. Though I will say I strictly restart the game every hour. I close the game and reopen it at 04:00 each day and I've never once encountered spawns being reduced. This game is one of the most unoptimized messes I've played (along with Ark and fragmented) so I go out of my way to make things run as perfectly as possible. I've made previous threads on this forum about animals not spawning and I've still never seen a deer in A19.6 aside from the first 5 minutes of a new world. Every other animal is plentiful though, and they've never had issues with my daily restarts. Besides, it takes 15 seconds to load a world. It's not that time consuming or difficult to do. Edit: One gripe for me is that I'll tell everyone to restart their game every in-game hour and start exploring, but I have yet for anyone to actually give it a go for 7 days and see if they have different results after they encounter issues. If it does actually fix things more than I know then it's more information we can relay to TFP.
  19. https://pastebin.com/mZ06E8Dv I completely refreshed my game. Deleted the game folder, savegame folder, registry, and cleaned the game data through the tools with the launcher when you launch 7 days to die. This is a completely fresh install on A20 (B231). To start, I had a screamer on day 1, I only shot 7 shotgun shells at zombies and a direwolf, not too long after a screamer appeared. About 5-10 minutes later I was apparently being chased by a boar, it made 0 sounds. I went to the front of a car to loot it, and looked down at my keyboard for a second and heard my character take damage and die, no noise, no warning, just dead. I'm in the process of deleting everything a second time and re-verifying files to see if I can replicate it.
  20. Well your not going to zombie spawns 24/7 without a workaround whether you believe it should happen or not. Never have I said I agreed with it. It's just something you do otherwise you have issues that can be avoided. I'm on day 15 and I've got over 7 stacks of meat (i make 10 boiled meat everyday) and I have 953 zombie kills. Cleaning spawns every hour makes the world lively and as clean as this game will get until The Fun Pimps decide to further optimize the cleanup and spawning system.
  21. From my experience, crafting in solo play is much less important than multiplayer. I usually prefer sledgehammers so throwing 3-4 perks into miner69er is no hassle for me. However in multiplayer, not everyone has to scrounge for a motorcycle or 4x4 through traders or quest rewards. You have your miner get steel, have the person in intellect get the crucible, and have the scavenger find everyone the bottles of acid required. It's meant to be a team effort. The intellectual makes the crafting stations, the miner gets the ores needed for the intellectual, and the scavenger finds things that the intellectual or miner aren't perked into (lucky looter). When the ore is looking plentiful and there's downtime, do some exploring and hunting. When the intellectual crafted everything needed then it's best they pull some quests to start their journey of speccing into a 2nd skill tree. Crafting is perfect the way it is and I would rather we be able to Q6 items than see a nerf of any kind. The miner will need obsene amounts of iron and the intellectual/scavenger need obsene amounts of glue as well. (Seriously, why does a pickaxe require more steel than a MOTORCYCLE). Edit: I'll go further and say that if you're in solo play and you spend EVERYTHING to get lucky looter to 5 asap, your gonna get so much more than you can dream of. Then there is literally 0 reason to craft. You'll be drowning in weapons and items, especially with eye kandy and lucky looter goggles. On my recent day 15 save which I'll be restarting out of boredom, i put only 1 perk into lucky looter and I had to craft all my own tools as I found none. Back in 19.6 (going to test to A20) having 3-5 perks in lucky looter gave me quality 3-6 items and tools which completely rendered crafting useless. I just couldn't specc fast enough into miner 69er before I found good gear starting with the lucky looter perk.
  22. If you're not seeing a zombie for 600m then your spawns are getting backed up somewhere. It takes 2.9 days for them to die and respawn if they're wilderness zombies. 0.3 days if they're naturally spawning zombies. Have you restarted the game, killed everything as you saw it, or had many zombies inside a POI that you just left? Since you said it's a new day and your not seeing anything, I can only assume you hardly exit the save and reopen which means your exploring so much with no "code refreshes" that everything backs up over time.
  23. You don't put the seed into the name, instead you scroll what teritory the seed is under like you would to get to Navezgane. If the territory is called yeehaw mountains, then you scroll to that world and enter the save files name you want. I'm not sure about the preview being unable to show buildings. Have you tried clearing older files and verifying the file integrity through Steam?
  24. The supply drops are great, I personally won't enable them again unless I'm in multiplayer. They offer an ammo bundle at times so you can craft your own ammo instead of getting 9mm when you really need 7.62 or shotgun shells. The quests seem a lot better in regards to loot and the rewards you get after 5-10 are phenomenal if you're in solo play. The amount of zombies in a city can easily overwhelm you even if you have feral sense disabled, The world feels much more lively. I haven't done any farming yet as I'm swimming in so much meat and food isn't a problem (I'm on day 15, it's my second world). From the charts I've seen though at a perfect 50% ratio, it is better than 19.6. I think we should get a bonus % to get a seed per level in LotL though if it'll be random. It would also be beneficial to entirely remove tier 1 seed schematics from the game, I very highly doubt people will do farming at all with Cotton very early on in the game without the LotL perk. So far my biggest gripe, ferals come way too soon. I'm only at GS 57 and I'm seeing a feral every other zombie. To really test it went through Dishong tower, yes at day 15 with a level 2 AK equipped with a drum mod. Which I'll get into later. I've noticed the progression is much faster, having a nailgun and guns at the start is a major help especially with all the damn bears around. Enemies actually feel like a threat and as someone who mains insane difficulty, warrior is a challenge which is awesome. I'm not sure how I feel about enemy progression though, even at GS 50-60 there are ferals everywhere and my sledgehammer struggles to do the job even with everything at default. I'm not sure if that's because of my failure to adjust perfectly, the change in AI, or if I need to adopt a new play-style that isn't so ammo conservative. (I'm talking a click every 1-2 seconds at a zombie dog to save every bit of ammo reserve conservative.) Other than the downsides, I really like the direction the game is going and I've never built cooler horde bases in my life that work fantastically. The next couple paragraphs are about Dishong Tower, if you couldn't care less then please skip to the last paragraph! To start, I noticed many frame drops near the entrance at high-ultra settings. I progressed to the top where the gaping hole in the corner was and I had to turn settings to low-medium because it ran at 5 fps from 30, when I get around 90-120 everywhere else. (Experimental I know, but let's not forget to include everything). Everything else ran as expected, ferals and radiated at every single floor and my poor level 4 iron sledge just couldn't be used anymore for the tower. The real issue though, even tier 1-2 quests are having ferals and radiated zombies. There is very little way for me to not use ammo on them unless I use the frame in the door trick for melee. I'm not sure if it's intended for enemies to be spawn feral the way it is, either way I'm fine with it. These are just my experiences and thoughts after all. Please tell me about yours, what are your likes/dislikes and how do you feel about the game? Let's do our best to have a healthy discussion!
