  1. Have you tried turning off vsync and dynamic resolution mode then restart the game? I also play with older PC parts and this is what I had to do. CPU: Intel Core i7 2700K @ 3.50GHz (OC 4.6) RAM: 16GB DDR3 dual channel MB: Asus P8z68-Pro gen GPU: Nvidia Gefore gtx 1660 I also get the graphic glitch too sometimes. Had this issue yesterday. If you interact with the object (in your case open the door) then it seems to go away for all objects. If that doesn't work then simply reloading the save usually always works for me.
  2. Yep. It seems like I just ran into a streak of luck because the more I've been playing the more I've been getting infected.
  3. Yeah, the land resets a soon you start a quest but if you have a land claim block down nearby then you wont be able to start the quest until the land claim is removed. You will get a message like this..
  4. If every pop n pills and/or trader had one antibiotic then the physician perk tree would be pretty much useless. Kind of like it was in A19 when you could find anti's, herbs, med packs, vitamins, and honey so easily that you would have storage's packed full. I like the change. Infections should always be one of the biggest threats in a zombie game and the meds to cure it should always be a rare find. Plus I like any changes that make traders less of a crutch as their too OP (would still like to see a coin limit too). I've only played A20 for about 3 hours so maybe it's just me getting lucky, but it seems like they lowered the chance of infection too to help balance it. I've been hit several times and I have yet to be infected one time on warrior. In A19 it seemed like once every 3 hits.
  5. I refuse to read or follow what's new in A20. Part of the fun for me is not knowing anything and figuring it all out on my own when it drops. This is one of the things I liked about A17 after such a long gap in time.
  6. And the minute they release A20 then you will be asking for an update on A21.......... Jesus Christ people be patient. This is not some life-stopping experience. The level of entitlement in threads like these are overwhelming to say the least. It's the same @%$# with you people. If TFP doesn't release an update....you complain. If they do release an update...you complain about "bugs" and how it shouldn't have been released in the first place (despite it still being in alpha phase). It's a no-win situation with some of you.
  7. Especially in a zombie game. When....you know....is not made with "real world" in mind at all.
  8. While all of you fancy cats are enjoying your brand new builds with the latest technology I'm still over here stuck in 2010 (literally built this in 2011 w/ Antec 1200 v3 and CP-1000 PSU) 😆
  9. @BioFringe Well I'd hate be "that guy" but I'm going to anyhow because my anxiety is killing me too much to ignore it lol. If it were me I would've probably went with 12 gen but that's neither here nor there. Not too bad of choices but I don't think your utilizing it's full potential though. Having built alot of computers with this same case I can tell you for sure that you can get really good air flow and temps w/o using water cooling . But I would strongly suggest buying extra fans because your gonna need more than just 1x120 on each rear, top, and front to get good airflow at high usage. Especially if you live in a relatively warmer area or plan to keep the computer in a warmer part of your home (i.e near a heat vent, close to a wall, etc). Speaking of air flow, that GPU is extremely hard to find (so I'm not even going to ask who you had to fxck to get one or how much it cost) and without better airflow, not only is it going to be screaming at you but you'll also see a dip in performance and lifespan too. Once the GPU reaches a certain temp threshold it will drop it's "performance usage" (for lack of a better term) in order to compensate for high temps to prevent itself from overheating. And in turn, you'll be experiencing nearly the same performance in your GPU that could've been found in another for about 1/3 of the price you paid for yours. The case is also good for cable management and flexibility but that's also going to be a bit limited with a semi-modular PSU. Not really that big of a deal tho. Having only 1TB of storage is very limited nowadays since a single game alone can take up to 150GB. I would suggest adding maybe a 4tb hdd as a secondary which can be had for less than 100. The i5-116k is a solid choice if you plan to OC but this begs a few questions. If you plan to overclock then choosing memory with stock speeds of 3200 is going to be very limited. Your MB supports much faster ram so I suggest looking into an upgrade in the future. If do not plan to OC then fine.....but then why not just go with the i5-114 instead and save your self 100 bucks? The performance difference between the two are not very noticeable at all--even at stock speeds. This is just my [unimportant] opinion and thoughts is all. Nevertheless, enjoy your PC man and congrats. I haven't bought one of those since 2006 lol.
  10. I bet you would have access to this feature if you were a streamer. 😉
  11. Lol this is funny to me. TFP Should've never announced anything....I guess. There are ALOT of things to be upset about in this world, but if you have a real problem with streamers getting access to a game a mere 3 days earlier than you, then why not just become one? Look, I've been playing this game since 13 and I don't necessarily like favoritism either but I'm not gonna lose my @%$# over not having access for a few days either. I mean...how long did we have to play 16 before 17 was released and we all still played it right? Also, take this into consideration. Would this be as big of an issue as it has if TFP decided to NOT announce they were releasing it streamers before hand, and just sprung it on them at the last minute on a Friday morning, but also said the game would be publicly released on Monday?
  12. We all know who he was refereeing to and that's all that matters.
  13. I almost always set a rule for myself where I can only choose one tree of perks and I have to max it out completely before choosing another and this ofcourse includes intellect (which I've done several times now) and it's by far one of the easiest to do IMO (only 2nd to strength ), just as long as you're putting pts in the right areas to start. If your having trouble with intellect then maybe you set the bar too high for yourself and need to adjust the settings. Playing an intellect focused game means you don't have the early benefits of better clubs, tools, mining, t-rex, or lucky looter that you would otherwise get right out the gate in a normal game by putting points into "strength" and "perception"......but the alternatives to these perks are readily available with intellect via traders, challenges, vending machines, and the option to have better transportation. The more jobs your complete the more money you make and a better chance you have at finding a better tool. Better club/tools (Pummel Pete/Miner 69) alternative = Trader/Jobs/eye candy Motherlode (mining) alternative = Rock buster candy Lucky loot alternative = Eye candy T-rex alternative = Mega crush In short, intellect builds means you have to rely heavily on your brain and money for traders and vending machines. Hence the word "intellect". And in order to make more money (via jobs) you need faster transportation ASAP to complete more jobs and all of this attainable if you put points into better barter and grease monkey early on.
  14. I would hate this for several reasons. For one, I imagine something like this would be almost impossible for MP. For two, I would hate to spend countless hours gathering weapons/tools/resources/skill pts to build a base only to find out I completed the game before it's even finished. And instead of being able to kick back and admire hours of work I'm suddenly taken to a final cut-scene, and that's it....it's over. That would drive me nuts. Most importantly, there's already an "end game" (indestructible base, ton of resources, skill pts make you a super human fitted with the best weapons/tools/armor, etc). The difference between this and your suggestion is that it's up to the user to determine when the game is finally over, as opposed to being forced. I personally like having options and flexibility. Yes, the game becomes boring after you reach a certain point, but there are literally dozens of different ways to extend the gameplay by making it harder to reach the "end game" thru different options, mods, restricting yourself to a set of rules, a little of each, overhaul mods, etc. The options are virtually endless. And from what I understand, the vanilla settings are going to be even more flexible in A20. For example, in SP, the game is over me after about 30 days on default settings, but I can change this to make games last 90+ days. I'm currently playing SP vanilla with these settings and restrictions..... I'm on day 42 and still no where close to being finished. It took me 20ish days just to get a damn bicycle. -- Kinggen RGW 6k map w/ only 2 traders + 3 mods (larger wandering hordes/increased zombie spawn/MD 500 heli) --Permadeath --16 hr + 90 min days + max 3 land claim blocks -- 64 Z's + Warrior (sprint day, nightmare for everything else) -- BM every 4 days w/ 2 day range + no warning -- 25% XP and loot, resources 50%, no air drops, no loot respawn -- No starting skill pts after the tutorial (xml edit) -- Have to max out one entire skill tree at a time before choosing another (ex. Everything under Strength has to be maxed out before unlocking anything under intelect or agility, and so forth) These minor changes alone prolong the game for me. The new POIs are going to make it even more interesting.
  15. Sensor>>Speaker>>pressure plate>>dart trap Connect a motion sensor (instant--triggered - Z only) to a speaker, then speaker to pressure plate, and then plate to dart trap. This tells the pressure plate not to activate unless the speaker is active. Sensor detects zombie, which activates the speaker, which tells the plate to activate, which tells the drat trap to activate. Example https://streamable.com/lf4m0a
  16. See, I was trying to end this all in a friendly manner and end it all to get back n track. But your entire response still screams nothing more than "I was wrong but I'm not willing to admit it". Believe what you want to believe. If that helps you sleep at night then by all means continue. Meanwhile, I'll continue to believe that you will always get aggressive whenever someone mentions even the slightest of negatively toward 7DTD.
  17. You're reaching with this, man. You are looking WAYYY too deep into this. Who decides which phrases are "meant to sting" or not? The writer or the reader? This is all based on interpretation. We're all on the frigging Internet for Christ sakes lol. Based on how YOU interpreted it. Just like I interpreted your response. Which was very condescending and offered nothing to the discussion amd could've been changed with a few choice words itself. Read above. Can we agree to get back on track here. I don't like the coaster and some do. That's it lol.
  18. I agree with some parts of your sentiment here. The game does become repetitive at later stages and adding in new things like bandits, etc would make the game harder. However, even if they added bandits and whatnot to the final product, eventually you would end up in the very spot that you are in now. A game that becomes very repetitive over time because at that point you would've already adapted to the changes and learned how to work around them. And then you will continue to ask for more which ultimately leads to a never ending scenario that YOU in particular are happy not with. This is what I love about mods. I play the vanilla game with no mods at different settings, vanilla with very few mods, or an entire overhaul mod. And mods for this game won't ever stop and will only continue to get better. Do you think people would still be playing Skyrim if it was still vanilla? I actually like this approach. I think they do this because it creates less pressure on them AND we get a better product in the end whenever they do release an update. What I mean is, if they set an EXACT release date then all of us are going to be expecting it, and then they're being forced to put out an unfinished product (which is what we see with major distributors like EA) . I don't know about you, but I don't want that either. I would rather see them take as much time as they need to get right, based on the vision and direction they intend to go, and end up with a balanced masterpiece in the end as opposed to a broken mess.
  19. Never mind a "toxic post". A better post from you would've been to not say anything at all. But hey, if you can create something that never receives ANY criticism at all then nobody is stopping you from doing so. 1) You knew what I meant and if you didn't then learn to internet. 2) I simply voiced my opinion on a product based on MY opinion. Nothing more or less, and I see nothing wrong with that. And you call THAT an "attention grab"? If so, it seems like anyone who says anything negative bad about 7DTD falls into this category with you by your own standards. But I digress. I appreciate faatal's response. He (or she) understands that not everyone is going to like it. Just like any other product on the market.
  20. It's their job to come up with better ideas. Not mine. And this could've been done in a much better way starting with putting more thought into it instead of a terrible, lazy design.
  21. No offense to the designer but this looks terrible IMO. It looks like it was designed using windows paint. I'm confident they could do much better if they put a little more thought and time into it. But as it stands, this just looks like a lazy attempt at a money grab. I mean, cmon lol......two axes crossing each other? The weapon cross is such a played-out design. What is this the coat of arms? I would want this on my desk, but that's just my opinion.
  22. And this is a problem. All of them should spawn as soon as you start the quest. Otherwise, what's the point of having a yellow indicator in the first place if it's not going to tell you where the remaining Z's are at? Even if you do happen to miss 1 small room in a huge POI like the deshong tower for example, the indicator should tell you that. It's what it was designed for, correct? That sounds like a game problem....not a user problem. Users shouldn't have to resort to willingly cancel a quest just because a function of the game isn't working properly. You are not "failing" the quest willingly. You are not walking out of the area and/or failing to grab the satchel. You are failing it because a part of a game function is not working like it was supposed to.
  23. Yeah. You and @ShoudenKalferas may be right about this. As I told shouden in the PM, I accidentally wrote I was running 19.3 when I meant 19.4 too. I already deleted that saved game and started a new with 19.3, but I'll keep this in mind for future reference. I did look at every XML config in the mod, entities included, and searched for the word "EAISwim" but I didn't find anything. Not sure what I was expecting to find. Likewise, I searched boar just to see if maybe there was something wrong with the code (maybe a missing character or something) and I didn't notice anything. Anyhow, I reverted to 19.3 stable and I haven't any issues. Thanks for help fellas, appreciate it.
  24. This looks interesting. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try it out for very long before I started getting errors. 😉 At first, it was only this one as walked towards a barn. Created the "Mod" folder. Then I downloaded the single modlet version, unzipped it, and moved the 7DTD-Neopolitan folder into the "Mod" folder. I'm going to try it again on a stable version.
  25. This is very true IMO. To be honest, I don't see any reason to use any anymore resources on light as soon as I find a helmet light mod, which is usually within the first week. In fact, I don't think I've ever once used a flashlight for light or use the resources to build light bulbs and hooking them up to a generator. It just seems like a waste of time. Helmet light mods and/or mining helmets(which usually come with a mod) are pretty easy to find.
