A similar thing happened to me when I was a child. I was on the bus, coming home from school, and a TVR Cerbera came screaming past us while we were stationary and I was the only one who reacted. So embaressed...but ever since then I've always wanted a Cerbera. I'm not a fan of modern Mercedes or BMWs as I prefer the older ones, but I do love a VW, Audi or Porsche, no matter what the ages is. I'm definitely prefer the older VWs over the new ones but I have a biased opinion :p I'm drawn the older cars in general because they have more character and are easier to work on. I miss my little Golf :( 1983 Mk1 1800 8v GTI. BBS body kit and 3-piece Zender rear spoiler, both of which were already on the car when I bought it. There was absolutely no rust on it. Sold it for scrap for £200. I [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/yXYv0Es.gif[/IMG] when I watched them tow it away and it still upsets me a little when I think about it 12 years later. Sorry to go on about it. Not that I'm jealous or anything...:grumpy: :p That moment when you remember all the big plans you had for your first car. I thought about putting a twin turbo V8 in the back and converting the drivetrain to 4WD, or cramming 2 Hayabusa engines in the back and converting it to RWD. I hadn't settled on a choice but I was saving up to make it happen. Damn previous owners really screwed the car up. They thought they knew what they were doing but they obviously didn't. I put in a new engine, gearbox, clutch, suspension, brakes etc. but the thing that killed it was the electrical system. Nobody could figure out what the problem was and I couldn't find anyone who wanted to buy the car, hence the £200 sale to the local scrap merchant :( and the resulting tears. I easliy put £10,000 into it, including the original purchase price of £2200. He said not to buy it because he had a bad feeling but he didn't know what exactly. I wish I'd listened to him. I was your typical over-excited noob buyer and they took full advantage of that.
