  1. Can you post a screenshot? Something doesn't sound right - whilst I've not noticed spectacular 'realism' I've also not had my retinas sprayed with faecal effluence. What are your game video settings? What's your gpu and gpu control panel settings? Might be worth posting this as we might be able to help with settings. What I see - a bit more blending wouldn't go amiss, but nothing drastic:
  2. You can concentrate on the mod whilst self-isolating... Seriously though, look after yourself and family first and foremost. Best of luck - hope it doesn't turn nasty.
  3. Possibly, but I was thinking something along the lines of the electric wire relay or the electric timer relay. Either way, the end result would be good.
  4. An inverter that only works on doors would be good.
  5. Early game wood -> cobblestone Afterwards, plan with wood frames, remove and replace with cobblestone blocks and upgrade to concrete/steel for xp as resources allow.
  6. Well, mod singular for now. Any problems, do let me know. Installing mods: extract zip files to Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Mods
  7. Focus on Lucky Looter, prioritise find looter goggles, buy eye candies. Then pick your POIs in the wasteland carefully... and don't hit mines with wrenches
  8. I've seen issues where even the yellow dot would appear but nothing spawns when approaching the yellow dot. I tried "100 sticks of dynamite" too - the yellow dot was just floating in mid-air... This was before A20 went stable so I'm hoping, whatever the issue was, it was fixed. If it doesn't then its zeds should be removed from the quest objective. I would argue that the POI is clear...
  9. As has been said before, silent mode should really just silence the speech, not everything, to maintain auditory awareness of where it is. Chirp mode seems like a good addition too.
  10. Seems odd - I get ~60fps with a 4790k and a 1070ti on a full 64 zombie BMH. Granted, that's single player. If the cpu is really the bottleneck, try turning off occlusion. That should relieve some pressure off the cpu and sacrifice some gpu performance. Perhaps try lowering dynamic mesh settings, especially distance? You could also try the tweak in this thread to further offload cpu work to the gpu. Try each tweak separately and then combined to get an idea of which is working for you (if any do indeed work).
  11. Do you mean... I mean, really mean... I could hold a torch and a club/pistol at the same time??? Say it ain't so chief! Or even:
  12. I've found that zombie pathing is more predictable for blood moon hordes - they tend to path where you're expecting them/funnelling them. It's the annoying walking hordes that just go ape@%$# and try to smash a path direct to you even with a dedicated path for them. I don't know if that's because AI is dialled down for BMs so as not to tax the cpu... or it's just not a thing and I'm imagining it
  13. Don't understand why rope would be part of the fuel. Typically you use a diesel to petrol (gasoline) mix of about 90% to 10% but 75%/25% would probably be better for balance. Could just add a diesel recipe to the chem station made from oil (presumably it is used motor oil as it's extracted from cars). Could also add a bio-diesel recipe that consists of vegetable oil (from seeds, perhaps a use for tree seeds?), methanol (plant fibre, wood or corn), lye/sodium hydroxide (from wood ash* and murky water) and bottled water. Only wood ash would need to be added as a new ingredient - obtained from campfire in a separate output slot? and/or chem station and/or harvested from burnt wood in wasteland/POIs. Finally, you'd mix 3 parts diesel or bio-diesel to 1 part gasoline for flamethrower fuel.
  14. From what I gather, they're general Unity settings (a lot of Valheim threads on performance mention them for example). The idea is the gpu takes over some of the work from the cpu which in theory could be a good thing - assuming that the cpu was a bottleneck in the first case and the gpu has cycles to spare
  15. It only works if you have overhead to spare on your gpu/cpu. If you're already close to 100% utilisation on your gpu and/or cpu you probably won't get a performance boost. The defaults are safe for everyone, but it should be left up to individuals to try these tweaks if they want.
  16. Have a look through this thread from the post in this link. Lots of good info:
  17. Meh, the expectation is in the name. Just rename the kits if they're not guaranteed to contain at least one specific component of the item they pertain to be for: Vehicle Kit I, II, III etc.
  18. Cool. Can you share the solution? Others may find it helpful in future. Was it similar to the issue of not having Steam running?
  19. Navegane is probably a bit different to what you recall - how much by, I'm not sure; I didn't play it in A19. Navegane is, though, the default Fun Pimps curated experience, so to experience things as the devs intended, play that for a bit. Switch over if/when you feel like it.
  20. If you create an empty map it can also be challenging
  21. Have a back up set of gear in your vehicle, drop a sleeping bag down by it (replace your base bag when you get home).
  22. Seems your zombies are socially distancing. That's not right at all.
