  1. See, what happened was, when the apocalypse was happening, the world came together and resources were being shifted all over the place from country to country. ... That good enough?
  2. What doesn't make the sense to me is the acknowledgment that different people have different tastes, but then they go after the other person's taste. Doesn't make any sense.
  3. ... People play video games to immerse themselves in their player. To roleplay. Male characters tend to be buff and muscular, female characters tend to be thin and big breasted. Is not new, and certainly not wrong. These are physical ideals that most people have. I'm sure there may be one or two people in the universe who want to play as a genetic mutation created by inbreeding, but we are definitely not the norm and I am not opposed to a company catering to the masses. This entire woke conversation is stupid. I'm glad the pimps are not catering to the 0.001% that seem to complain the most. Besides, if I recall correctly, the game is set after a nuclear war and then after a zombie apocalypse, so the people who would have survived would most likely be in great shape.
  4. I'm just picking at you a bit. 🙂
  5. ...when trying to push the idea of variety, showing off ugly old a15 UMA zombies may not be the best sell. 😃
  6. Oddly, Xyth had a super low poly horde night only zombie; I wish I had tried it, because I think during a BM would be the best time to have a genetic model. Sort of a "they only come out at night" model. But turns out, AI is the real killer, so... <shrug>
  7. You'd be wrong. Seeing the same zombies with different skins definitely adds variation. And you stop seeing the glaring similarities. Madmole's logic is also wrong. Minecraft works because it's ONE zombie skin, which our brain begins to discard. Seeing 15 zeds and 9 are alike is more distracting than seeing 15 of the same. He is right that they have better things to do tho. Having code change the tint of a shirt material on spawn also wouldn't add any real overhead btw. Been there, done it, just saying. Fight me. 😉
  8. I'm one of the most prolific modders and I 100% agree with faatal on this. Modding is easy, developing a game with industry standards is a different animal. And most of the modders *I* know would agree.
  9. Who. Gives. A. Frack. Geesh people. More important things to concern ourselves with than video game clothing.
  10. Boats are definitely doable (we have boat mods) and it really does add an element, but I honestly wouldn't consider it game changing unless there was a good *reason* to boat. Like fishing or diving. And fishing mods require the block item swap property to work with the method we use, and I'm super curious if the new water will support that. All in all, as much as I like boats, they'd be wasted imo, without a reason for them. I hate arguing against new features.
  11. So people don't forget the inspiration. Dude paid what, 2k? 5k for this?
  12. Agreed. The quality level is just that, quality. It should not necessarily require more materials.
  13. It didn't spoil but there was a smell mechanic. ... The system was unfortunately replaced when they decided to minimize the amount of zombies in the game by sticking them inside cupboards instead of outside in the cities.
  14. Yes there was. Iirc you'd choose your bedroll on the map.
  15. What's the xml look like on that, i.e. will we be able to target some lines and use our own meshes?
  16. Are you talking about with the chunk reset? If so then that stuff should reappear.
  17. With what you've given me, it would be super easy to add additional collector sets. Just slap a new image onto your template.
  18. As a person with a portal mod I'm very excited to see an official TFP implementation, but as a player, fast travel is just another way to appease casuals and lessen the game difficulty, and I'm hopeful they're easy to mod out.
  19. Roland used to have a Q/A thread that a question list was derived from for the stream, but I dunno what CC will do. Signature
  20. Thanks to Mumpfy for providing the art! Download Here! This is a little mini-game to play inside the game. When you are looting you may come across 1 of 15 different cards, and when you collect the set, you can put them in a frame and hang them, which will give you a permanent Intellect point. You can continue to collect/build your sets, but the Int point does not stack. A quick video demonstration: https://youtu.be/Es02jP9IRQ4 ...the cards are based on the original members of my Modding Discord. In addition, we have included Alloc as an honorary founding member, as he has deep roots in the modding community. Watch out for the Golden Card, there may be a surprise on the back. 😃 Special thanks to Mumpfy and some of the guys from my Discord that helped me through some xml! Check out Mumpfy's other art HERE
  21. We actually got an official answer for this once, but damned if I can remember. It was a very long time ago. ... Some sort of technical limitation. I don't know if it's still a thing, but it used to be you could explore a lot of the map and part of the map that you already explored early on would be blacked out again. Or a concussion has finally sunk in and I'm babbling.
  22. Yeh I'm not real sure why he likes airports so much but I support the idea of a small wilderness airport. Maybe an old private airport or a smugglers run, and it would fit. Don't need goofy plane looking prefabs either, since those guys would have been the first to leave when the @%$# went down. Hell even a small crash site nearby with just a few plane pieces could work.
  23. Can we take a moment to hate on the new forum font that makes it hard for us old folk to discern between read and unread threads?
