Anyone figure out how to fly the Gyro?

So.... finally got the Gyro Copter.

Sooooo excited... till I tried to fly it.

That's insane!

I don't get how to fly the damn thing.

Couldn't get anywhere.

Nearly killed myself.... got stuck on a sign... then a horde showed up so... yeah... :upset:

I finally put it away and decided to stick to the 4x4 [which is AWESOME btw!]

Just wondering if anyone has gotten the hang of flying that crazy contraption.

The thing that sucks about the gyro is that spacebar is to angle up but it's also the brakes so you lose speed when trying to take off. You lose altitude when in flight if you tap spacebar to angle up too.

That's kind of an odd configuration.

Maybe I'll mess with the settings a bit and see if I can't make the damn thing viable.

I don't know about the 4x4, but the motorcycle is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. Funny, I like the bicycle too since it's a quiet little bugger that's good for night travel.

the minibike is.. a horrid creature born of distilled desperation and rust.

Need speed then press space to fly off don't too much angle up when you in air C is angle down and when is move forward (ofc in air) speed up is right shift . And if you wanna go down i personally just not press anyting and is going down slow and safe.. that's all i know have fun :)

P.s: sorry for bad English

It's easy

Press w to accelerate and hold space for few seconds

Then when enough speed you will tilt backwards raising the copter

Then press c to level out

You will always go forward because of the rear blades

A and d rotates

Then when you want to go down press c to tilt forward and just before you touch ground press space to level and press s to decrease speed then e to exit

Pretty much this. I would add that the gyrocopter isn't a vtol aircraft. It needs runway to take off. If you're good, you can do a vertical landing, but you'll still need room to take off again.

Forward to accelerate, space to nose up, C to nose down, shift to 'boost' (?)

It's not bad, a bit slow but so are all the vehicles now. Probably because the old minibike outran the speed of loading chunks.

I was looking forward to having a roof airstrip but bases are kind of out ATM ...and my game crashes on horde night.

looking forward to finding a use for it though, aside from late game boredom relief.

Yeah. I kept looping all the time ... turns out holding space to go up is the wrong approach, gotta use space to bring the nose up so you then fly up. It's not a helicopter ascent kind of thing. And c to point it down.

After doing that, it suddenly became manageable!

That's dumb as hell. Why not just mouse up / mouse down tilt the nose up and down?

To answer your question, not yet.

On the other hand though, I've figured out LOTS of ways to crash one! :-)
