  1. I like the idea of this, idk if auguring 16M blocks is the best way to go about it though Id rather have CM and spawn in an inventory full of rockets and dynamite, or make some mod where the materials are super cheap and they make like 100 instead of 1 but just imagine...a whole map leveled to bedrock
  2. The trick to building a a base solo in the wasteland is to build during the day imo
  3. I didn't even know of this video till now, it supports my data and testing though. rock solid video
  4. I just want to be as efficient as possible. It is simple as that.
  5. not that this is aimed at me but Pois I miss: 1. aaa_store_book_lg_01 2. Fire_station_02 3. Prison_01 4. Police_station1 Last I heard 1 and 4 both have alot of SI issues not sure why 2 was taken out, but I also assume SI issues and for Prison I know it might be reintroduced after rennovation to meet alpha 20+ POI standards
  6. The Bookstore Poi's (Store_book_01 and Store_book_02) are both questable tier 2 and 3 quest. every time I check the traders tier 3 quest, the bookstore, despite being a questable POI in that city NEVER, EVER gets selected as an available quest. it seems like I am always getting the same 5-8 closest tier 3 poi's over and over and over again they are flagged as questable, I have quested them before. There quest just doesn't ever get offered. which is why I wouldn't mind having some kind of solution to shuffle quest or implement a weighting system that keep track of how many times you have quested a particular POI, therefore incredibly decreasing the weighting of that POI appearing to be quested again untill you have done alot more different POI's theoretically through the trader in said city I should be able to quest the majority, if not all of the quest-able POIS in a city. However that just seems nearly impossible with how quest are currently offered because they are all from the same subset of a particular group of PoIs 95% of the time here is a town in the Pregen 8k Of all the tier 1-4 quest that I have done in this town, 95% of those locations appear in that red box close to the trader I have very little recollection of ever seeing any quest that sent me to a POI that was at the south edge of the town or in the middle I understand that it often selects the closest Pois, but I want to be able to quest some of the farther away buildings in the same city. There is so much there that I never get quest for and I wish I could quest most of this city. I haven't done any 'testing' yet but I am sure if I talked to the trader everyday and accepted and canceled all his quest (putting a tally of X's on all the buildings where the quest were). I hypothesize that THE majority of those buildings would be in that red square with occasional fringe Poi's outside that box. one thing to note is that I have entirely skipped restore power quest all together because of there sheer inconvenience, and also the fact that they are not rewarding enough for there difficulty Can we get more diversity among the questable Pois @Laz Man? what could that solution look like?
  7. I have the same problem on my pregen8k map. In my city I know there are lots of tier 2 and 3 pois I simply never ever get quest for. Not sure if it's programming or rng thing but despite all the quest I've done there I always end up in the same handful of pois and I've never gotten the bookstores which I have gotten from other traders in different cities. I'm not sure what the priority for populating the quest list is but I would appreciate the ability to re-roll a traders quest list. I also wouldn't mind an expanded quest list to 10-15 quest, but you are only limited to completing 5 of each tier of quest a day
  8. it will disappear again after a certain lootstage. I am loot stage 288 and I haven't seen any in 2 horde nights
  9. How could you forget the Doritos?
  10. Alpha 20.4 Wishlist: Magnum ammo fix. It would be nice to see magnum ammo in loot.
  11. despite the fact I have over 1000 hours in this game and know alot of the mechanics and systems fairly well. I just learned yesterday that you could make murky water with empty glass jars and snow.
  12. Exactly what I'm looking for. There's over 1300 blocks and the the menus and search tools help alot. I just wish blocks had a more consistent naming scheme. I would have never thought to put the word Narrow before the word wedge They have the ramp(to 45 degree angles), and wedge block 60(I assume because the top corner angle is 60 degrees). I thought the narrow would have been wedge block 75
  13. Could I see a picture of these blocks? I didn't think to do a different search Those are the plate versions of the blocks. I am wondering if the full block version already exist and I'm just not using the in-game search function correctly
  14. we have full 45 degree ramps and 30(wedge tip 60) degree ramp blocks. could we please also have full slope blocks? why do only the plated versions exist? also do we have plated versions of the 45 and 60 degree ramps?
  15. windows Memory Diagnostics showed no errors and I added a custom page file on my P drive
  16. well it crashed again even after doing Jugginators suggest fix. I paste binned this though https://pastebin.com/S2B76Qck
  17. I didn't even know you could craft glass jars untill A19, how ever since then I would go to the forge and bulk craft empty glass jars. Some I fill with murky water for glue, some with murky water for pure mineral water. always keep empties for yuuca smoothies, also turn some into boiling water for making other beverages. they are very easy to bulk craft if you don't find many, when ever I have played with friends I have always seen them constantly discard empty glass jars which seems backwards to me when I could just drink what ever the POI provices and keep a neat stack of empty jars. If you keep them all you usually have 20+ by the end of most PoIS I use over 60% of them for glue/duct tape though
  18. I go to look for the crash log where the report was generated, but I get to temp and the there isn't any Fun pumps folder there this folder group doesn't exist in temp on my C drive > The Fun Pimps/7 Days To Die/Crashes also pastebinned my most recent crash. https://pastebin.com/33bjhMk9 also @Jugginator Just Used DDU to uninstall the drivers and did a clean install of the drivers and the geforce experience/control Panel also going to say that so far, Jugginators suggestion has solved the problem
  19. no, P is the directory of my M.2 drive, and C is the directory of my SSD and windows install
  20. I precleared all the dirt with a shovel. the pickaxe takes 3 hits to eat through dirt and the augur chews through it way faster
  21. as title says, I am playing on an alpha 20.2 world (started in 20 experimental) and it keeps randomly crashing shortly after loading in. what is causing it? I have included the latest crash log and I can provide more if needed.
  22. 4 well Ive done some digging to bed rock races with this augur and this pickaxe, with maxed out relative perks and Candy+blackstrap coffee and all the art of mining books unfortunately in all my digs they weren't pure stone, I would run into some random ore But generally, it took me 50 seconds to hit bedrock with the augur and it took me a 80+ seconds to hit bedrock with the pickaxe. did another test where I went through pure stone to bedrock, no coffee or candy Augur: 60 ish seconds Steel pickaxe: 88 seconds Paired with the fact that the augur hits much faster for one shotting ore I have concluded that the Augur is indeed more efficient than the steel pickaxe. unless there are any min/max buffs I am missing for pick axe miners, The Augur is the most efficient method to acquire ore/stone in the game anyone here if they wish to do there own test or research are more than welcome to share there data/opinions @theFlu if you have any ideas for any other kinds of test or performance benchmark methods, you are welcome to suggest them. I feel like my bedrock race is fairly conclusive though even with all the buffs and candy it still takes 3 hits of the pickaxe to destroy ore unless I combo power attacks and light attacks for 2 hits
  23. I like the idea of road marks being blocks we can build or use, and I understand why they are implemented as blocks for RWG I guess it would take some brain storming and effort to make roadmarks Paint brush options and purely cosmetic, becuase you would need road stamps to also generate pre painted and Idk anything about programming or world gen, but it seems tricky.
  24. so what you are saying is @SnowDog1942 will always find this tree in every single playthrough?
