  3. I don't get why people perceive alot of these changes in A21 as a waste of dev time? who are you to quantify what is productive and what is not. I am glad they are working on all these things

  6. I consider them very low value/not worth getting.. I usually fill them out when I am getting towards level 250+ and have nothing else to spend on the stun baton might be good now with the tech junkies books/electrocutioner?? idk If robotic turrets didn't set off demolishers I would consider turrets alot more.
  7. will treasure maps and buried treasure quest still spawn in big bodies of water? I had one in the middle of a big lake once? I won't be sad if the answer is no because it provides an interesting challenge to overcome. I put on my big boy boots, grabbed my augur and fished it out from the deep waters (it was 200+ meters away from shore), but it felt risky because it took me half my oxygen to reach the bottom and start digging. definitley could have died drowning if I didn't do this properly. Also, one of my fears for Alpha 21 is that we will get the Int tree in a severely gutted state because of the magazine/crafting changes. Is the Int rebalancing mandatory for Alpha 21 release or is there a chance we could get A21 experimental with a neutered int tree because of lack of time/resources? Intelligence is going to be pretty sad if the only value perks are the trader ones. I hope whatever happens to advanced engineering/grease monkey/physician makes them appealing or worth considering/thinking.
  8. I mean if it was A20 I wouldn't have money for extra but I assume I will no longer be able to purchase tier2 or 3 weapons from the trader on day 4. So all that extra capital I will have on day 4 In alpha 21 will be used elsewhere. That's 6k+dukes for me to repurpose and spend and that should cover drinks. What ever surplus I have will probably go towards magazines and that filter if a trader has it. As soon as I get A21 experimental I will be going pure int untill I get daring adventurer. I might grab value points in sexy t rex/motherload and miner 69er though, other wise it will be guns blazing to maximize trader efficiency
  9. I feel like these changes will really put a squeeze on the 25% loot,no trader players who I think will be forced to change and adapt, or require mods to play A21 Will it always be three? If it fills up after a day there is a really huge opportunity cost to that because doing tier5 pois will take you a day or 2. Why do tier 5 pois and lose on potential water when I can bang out 2 tier 4s in a day and not miss any yield? Atleast give us amn option to make a water storage tank after reading the last forge ahead magazine so it can have a capacity up to 6 or 9 and require way less micro management. Currently requires 3x as much management as crops
  10. Are you saying guns will be more rare in A21 than they are in A20? Trader balance aside in all my early game play troughs weapons already feel incredibly scarce and few and far in-between in the forest biome for the first 50 levels or so. I honestly don't think weapons need to be more rare than they already are because I feel like I hardly find any as is in the current alpha. In a20 I feel like 80% of my guns come from trader quest. As long as your balancing weapons from traders and not weapons from loot this will be fine
  11. They were a source of iron, but I think in the grand scheme of things if you spent 10 minutes hitting iron with decent harvest perks you would make up any scrap iron deficit from all the cans you can no longer scrap
  12. so the dew collector is a early game item, Forges have addons like bellows and anvils that make them more efficent, is there any chance that dew collectors will have add on slots to make them more efficent/increase capacity. even if they are gated/locked behind high lootstage/crafting recipes (similar to crucible/tier3 items)?

So with the traders finally being properly balanced in A21 and the price of beverages in vending machines going up, can we expect a discount on trader items to combat the inflation that occurred as a result of the a20 trader balance? Every day our dukes are worth less and less. Or maybe you could give us 10% more dukes by default.
  15. would the water voxel dissapear if I drank it or would it always stay there? currently in Alpha 20 if you use a Jar to scoop up water some of it disappears.

  17. how will this new system work with things like buckets? why cant we take a cooking pot to the lake, carry it back full of water and then cook it to get a few bottles of mukry water? It just doesn't make sense that we cant turn snow into water though. why can't we fill a cooking pot with snow, put it over the fire and get water? Shouldn't we be able to bring back buckets of water to a fire to make water? it would be weird if things that worked in real life didn't work in a gamified way in a game. I like the idea of making water more challenging, but then doing it by not allowing sensical ways to get water in a video game seems like nonsense. I like the idea of water being a challenge after day 3, but the solution doesn't make sense based on the info we have been provided so far Will there be a late-game way to automate water supply so that it becomes trivial other than building a farm of low tier dew collectors? or will there be a lategame version thats more expensive but also easier to manage? do vending machines have Beverages in A21?
  18. This actually seems alot more realistic, just like how bandits will be very basic when implemented, the alpha following 21 will fully fleshout and develop/balance the system If the new outfit system IS in A21, it will be a skeleton for them to build a body on in A22, much like bandits

  22. So then the quality 5/6 stuff has more or less all come from traders. I already have a Q6 auto shotgun, a Q5 sniper rifle and a Q4 compound crossbow, as well as a Q6 m60 and that stuff all came from the trader/trader quest. The trader really makes looting feel off right now because it just skips such a huge chunk of the loot/game stage balancing will be interesting to see how this dynamic will be balanced out in A21 with trader stage.
  23. 42 days into my 20.5 pregen 8k world and it feels like 75% of my weapons have come from traders. I see lots of armor and weapon mods and tools in loot guns? not so much, most of the guns I have came from the trader my lootstage is 109ish. are weapons normally this scarce? also I never find any lever action rifles..like ever. as someone with over 1000 hours in this game looting from POI's feels a little bit... off atm? there plenty of everything else though. just wanting to compare with other peoples experiences. Maybe I am just really use to alpha 18/19 looting? also to be fair I am keeping these in storage so this is a fairly curated collection of weapons, anything pipe or level 1 would have been turned into parts or sold.
  24. its video game logic, I follow the logic that because there are 4 blades attached to the weapon, it will have 4 more blades on it, not that the 2 axe 'blades' are serrated and tempered though I see where you are coming from
