  1. Thats not to bad of a guess at it honestly. 10/10 concept pardon my paint skills, I thought it look more like this, where the blades are ontop side by side and you can use it as a stabbing weapon, or use the weight of the top to help the serrated blade saw off tree branches
  2. who needs razor blades when you have this 5 bladed bad boy. shaving cream not included P.s please don't ever fix this also, what would this axe AXETUALLY look like in real life? I an having a hard time imagining.
  3. I am not asking for free access, but rather to have the ability to one day repair and use them. It would be nice if after you have unlocked tier 4 or 5 quest, you could get special quest from the traders to fix up there workstations? I totatlly understand how it could skip early game progression, but would it be so bad if it was locked towards the later stages of the game when you would already have most of this stuff anyways? and yeah,I don't expect stuff like this to be in A21, but maybe in the furute? A22? what if one of the requirements for these special quest to fix the trader work benches was to already own one(proof that you know how to fix/repair it)
  4. so on twitter it was mentioned that all the trader compounds were getting redone and made bigger Will A21 trader compounds still have broken crafting stations( i.e forges, chem stations, cement mixers) And if so, will we be able to fix these stations as our trader stage goes up? like will we get special quests to go out and get parts/items to fix the workstations so we can use them?
  5. isn't water also a voxel in minecraft?
  6. Well, there is an entire Yacht POI in the world editor, I assume as soon as water is where TFP wants it to be for A21 they will 'turn on a switch' and we will start seeing a yacht POI in alpha 21 generated maps. That said, my expectations for water are mostly scoped around what you said.
  7. as far as I am aware of being able to shoot through holes in doors and 'breaching them' was something they didn't get done in time for A20, the tech is there for the new blocks they added but I am 100% sure this will be done for all the doors. don't quote me though I aint a TFP employee
  8. no, the server owner can't connect either
  9. The server administrator said they did. but that didn't seem to fix it. It just copy and pasting these exactly as they are into the server config.xml right? <property name="Region" value="NorthAmericaEast" /> <property name="Language" value="English" /> regardless I will probe the admin for the server logs tomorrow. Sorry I am just the middle man 😅
  10. after updating the server from 20.3 to 20.5 I get s tuck at this window and the server never loads. why isn't it initalized? the server still shows up when I use the 20.3 Browser. I type in the servers IP/password and I get stuck here . Here is the pastebin output when connecting on 20.5(b2) https://pastebin.com/kfBQVKew Here is the pastebin from when I join the server in the list in 20.3 https://pastebin.com/fS2mq1Qk
  11. My current gripe with the flashlight: It never dropped early game for me in A20 like they did in A19, they felt way more common in Alpha 19 and in A20 they became scarce and useless by the time I found them, at the point I found some they were only useful for mod crafting, granted I really like weapon/helmet lights and I don't mind flashlights being used to craft them.
  12. Well when the farming changes in A20 came out, some mod makers didn't like that so they changed back to old farming in there mods, I am sure once A21 comes out , people will makes mods to bring back A20 crafting in A21
  13. Idk what to say. ultimatley the solution may be to adapt to the A21 changes I.e do a quest or 2 every day then spend the rest of the time building, or only build at night. at some point or another you will have to quest or loot buildings
  14. Undead legacy and Darkness falls already have LBD elements, though I consider Undead Legacys LBD to me more like LBD-lite
  15. Speaking of everything giving exp. Is there any chance harvesting your farm crops could give a little more exp than it currently does? it rewards a pitiful amount of exp compared to everything else you do that DOES give you exp. Building gives you boatloads more exp. I wouldn't mind if farming exp was a bit more substantial because farming exp is just so inconsequential atm.
  16. It also avoids the "It's day 196 , I am level 278 and my lootstage is 330 in the forest and I can't find an anvil schematic because I don't have one and it won't drop because my lootstage is too high" problem
  17. I actually agree with this post. I just hope traders have near parity with all the other sources of loot in the game though
  18. So trader stage is in development for A21. My question is how do you plan on balancing the traders vs looting? Currently the trader circumvents the majority of loot/gamestage progression and if it is over tuned and the trader becomes worse than loot why interact with them? Trading needs to be at worst, slightly better than what you are looting or else it isn't rewarding enough to justify it
  19. I see what you mean. but I don't enjoy being on day 200 lootstage 330+ in the forest without an anvil schematic because it simply doesn't drop for my gamestage ( i swear I saw this schematic on sale from traders before super late days but I never ended up buying it and I am regretting it because I have to pray they sell anvils) also. anvils are hard to find at high gamestages. with this system I will be able to always deterministically make essential crafting stations/accessories
  20. You complain about changing the crafting system to be an unnecessary change. but I think a crafting overhaul is much needed. Currently you are capped at quality 5, also everyone who crafts weapons just perks up to craft rank 5s, finds the tier 3 weapon schematic and then crafts one and it is never ever used again. also because you can only craft up to quality 5 in the current system it becomes really pointless and wasteful and not a very good feeling system. In an earlier post TFP said that quality 6 crafting might be back on the table with this system, and that is exciting because it means I will be able to craft top tier gear even if it isn't as good as the stuff you find in loot with perfect/random stats alpha 20 crafting is very narrow and loses its luster very quickly and is completely overshadowed and left in the dust by looting and questing. this new system is imo a much needed overhaul and a welcome change and far more exciting. this is also like the A20 farming situation, alot of people were skeptical and critical of it before they even played it or tested it for themselves Most people after trying it, didn't mind and grew to enjoy it. There was obviously a very vocal minority who hated it or made there feedback and criticisms posted and known. as opposed as I was to the change at first it has grown on me and I quite enjoy it now. I think this new crafting system will be met by the playerbase with alot less friction then the alpha 20 farming change once we get a chance to play with it for ourselves. This sounds far more intersting than the current iteration which is: 1. Spec into the skill tree for the weapon/tool you want to craft 3. Scrap and scavenge any rare weapon parts in A20 you can find or old guns you don't need anymore 2. hope and wait untill you find the tier 3 weapon schematic( SMG,auto shotgun etc) 4. never ever use the system again because it carries you till you find quality 6 This overhaul solves alot of issues with the current system and creates a far more balanced/satisfying progression curve
  21. They will probably say no, but I dont think it would hurt to be able to find +2 books which would be much more rare or super high gamestage/lategame
  22. so with this new skill manual system, will the books always add +1, or will there also be rare +2 and +3 versions(advanced skill manuals) or will there be % bonuses to gain +2 or 3 skill points when reading books instead of +1if perked into from the skill tree? I.e 10% chance for +3, 50% chance for +2? I think everyone biggest fear before even touching the system is that it will be to long and grindy in nature. if that ends up being the case though I think there are many reasonable solutions like the ones I have listed above to help smooth out the progression curve if it's out of sync with the rest of the game progress
  23. post contents reposted in A21 dev Diary
  24. so will a blue pump shotgun still require 15 shotgun parts in the new system? or will the part cost to craft be cheaper because you need to grind and find skills and it will take alot longer to get there. (i.e 9-11 parts). In a20 you would rush the shotgun skill perks and maybe have enough parts to only make 1 by the time you had the recipe.
