  1. Software RAID hurts performance as well. Great way to slow down those NVMe drives. For comparison, here's what our group hosts on. Dell PowerEdge R710 Two X5680's at 3.5GHz 12c/24t (It can boost higher, but seems to hold steady around this speed.) 96GB DDR3 ECC 1366MHz in triple-channel mode. Two 250GB Evo 860 SSD's in RAID-0 for the OS Four 250GB Evo 860 SSD's in RAID-0 for the server data Two 1TB FireCuda SSHD's in RAID-1 for backup data This server hosts four 7 days to die servers with the max player count at 20 each. We have no issues. One of the servers is running Darkness Falls, and previously that same server was running some custom mods like Snufkin's Zombies with 4x spawns. As long as we maintain known stable values, we have no issues. We aren't setting spawn rates to 300 alive because we know going past 90 lags the server. And I seem to have had to say this to a few server owners lately that think 50+ players is reasonable, so I'll say it again here. This isn't GTA-V, SC:GO, Ark, or Conan. It's not designed to support 70+ players out of the gate. (Do note also that those are not fully 3D Voxel games with complex AI mechanics or structural integrity, so it's kind of like comparing a bicycle to a corvette. 7 Days requires a lot more processing than those games that only rely on the GPU.) And as for the client, you can get a stable 60FPS on an old Q6600 with 8GB DDR2 and a platter drive. I've done it in my min-spec hardware test. I've also shown how much of an impact something as simple as core clock speeds can have in this system comparison. (Also note, these systems are my primary PC's. I've upgraded twice in the past 10 years. Once to upgrade the GPU from a 660Ti to the 1060, and the R9 3900X because the motherboard failed in the old intel.) What really needs to happen, is that server owners like yourself need to get your head out of the clouds. You need to face the reality of what the game actually is. It doesn't matter what you think your players want. You're basically trying to break Nürburgring lap times using a box van, and then complaining when it doesn't work.
  2. No, you can install the mod and it works with the RWG mixer file included with the mod that adds the POI's to map generation.
  3. Yes. It's one of the primary reasons I recommend against using Nitrogen for playing games you care about. You might want to read some of the recent posts in the thread. Even just 5 or 6 posts ago this is discussed.
  4. It's in the first post. And not just a link, but the file is directly attached to the post right under the link. lt is also mentioned and linked very recently in this thread just in the last couple of pages. Sorry, but I have to ask. Did you even look?
  5. Known issue. Manage your power better, and you won't have the problem. If you follow the Green Banner above, you can check the known issues and reported bugs.
  6. Yes, and the comment was for more than just you. You mentioned it, so I needed to clarify. We've already had it happen a few times.
  7. Water is probably one of the last things that will be worked on. It's extremely complex. It is planned for sure, but won't happen until all of the core features are added.
  8. Just to be clear here, a monetized version would be in violation of the rules and TOS.
  9. You will only be able to open worlds pertaining to that specific game version.
  10. Are you using a different language than English on the system?
  11. Over 24 hours now, or roughly 19 hours before your post. There is the main announcement in the News and Announcements section. It was also broadcasted in the official Discord, Reddit, and Steam (both in your library, and the forum). It was probably announced in Facebook and Twitter as well, but I don't frequent those.
  12. For those of you having issues with the distant POI meshes/ghost blocks, you might want to take a look at 19.5 experimental and see if any of the new optimizations and fixes there resolve your issue.
  13. Yes. I had considered it, but have not received any responses from the author. And to be honest, I've stopped trying to reach him. If he's stepped away, that's all there is. KingGen is shaping up, but everything is going to change in a20 also. So don't get too attached just yet.
  14. Bad advice. Using this command is almost guaranteed to permanently and irrecoverably break the save.
  15. Correct. Pretty sure the supported languages are as follows. Brazilian English French German Italian Japanese Korean Polish Portuguese Russian Simplified Chinese Spanish Traditional Chinese Turkish
  16. No, but it is a pretty common issue. Especially with lower profile CPU heatsinks that have a down-facing fan when in a dusty environment. (I live in an old house, and am always battling dust bunnies.) If you have a high-rise heat sink like the Evo 212, and well directed airflow, or simply liquid cooling, it's not as much of an issue.
  17. Yes, 99% of the time I see this, it turns out to be either anti-virus or anti-malware software causing it.
  18. What about just converting the named object terrDestroyedStone into something else? Like a wood frame. <block name="terrDestroyedStone"> <property name="Material" value="Mwood_weak"/> <property name="NoScrapping" value="true"/> <property name="Shape" value="New"/> <property name="Mesh" value="cutout"/> <property name="Texture" value="381"/> <property name="ImposterExclude" value="true"/> <property name="Weight" value="90"/> <property class="RepairItems"> <property name="resourceWood" value="3"/> </property> <drop event="Destroy" name="resourceWood" count="1" tag="oreWoodHarvest"/> <drop event="Fall" name="terrDestroyedWoodDebris" count="1" prob="0.3" stick_chance="1"/> <property name="CanMobsSpawnOn" value="true"/> <property name="EconomicValue" value="5"/> <property name="EconomicBundleSize" value="1"/> <property name="SellableToTrader" value="false"/> <property name="FilterTags" value="fbuilding,fwood"/> <property name="SortOrder1" value="4030"/> <property name="SortOrder2" value="0002"/> </block> Note that this code is just a fast hack I did without coffee. It may not be 100% up to snuff.
  19. 1. As doughphunghus stated, you have two overhaul mods there. Overhauls don't work well together. 2. You simply have too many mods. This isn't Skyrim, this is an EA game still in development. A third of them most likely have conflicts. I would be curious to see a gameplay log when you're having the issue, but I'm pretty sure I already know what it is... 3. It's known that having too many recipes will cause the client to freeze up when opening inventory. I have not actually run into it with the R menu, but given the number of mods you have that affect that section of the game, I'm not surprised to see it here. Easy fix, minimize your mod list to the basics. Only keep what you can't live without. Then work out that they are actually compatible. Hard fix, drill through each of the mods to see what can be compressed, combined, or eliminated due to compatibility issues. Tip: load order matters with some mods. There is no "set standard" though like games like Skyrim or even Conan. It's basically knowing wat the mod does, and working them all out individually.
  20. Be aware though that if you are on a multiplayer server that greatly exceeds the supported player count, and are using multiple LCB's, it is known to bug out sometimes. One of the many reasons to avoid using a POI for a long-term base.
  21. Yes. If you're on Windows, it advised to do it about every 8 hours. Otherwise you run into memory leak issues. On Linux it's typically good for 24 hours. Linux is simply better overall with better server performance, automation, and fewer general issues. I don't understand why more games aren't developed to run on it.
  22. Yes it will always happen. The code for the highway was basically Alpha, and as far as I am aware, was never completed. It's a bit buggy.
  23. As of driver version 466.11 Nvidia added GPU overclocking to the default drivers. Theoretically this is only supposed to effect the 20- and 30-series GPU's, but I saw some reports that it also works on some newer MSI 16- and 10- cards. This is a feature of GeForce Experience, and is yet another reason to avoid installing this bloatware on your system.
  24. In the game Launcher under Tools is the option to "Clean game data". You'll want to remove Discovered map of remote games. Alternatively you can also manually go to your UserData\Roaming and remove them there. My path for example... C:\Users\Sylen\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\SaveGameLocal\ Just delete all the folders inside there, and it will remove your locally cached data from servers.
