While I agree the game has been simplified, I do not agree it has been ruined. Bringing back wet concrete and rebar will not bring any value back and just cause delays. sorry the game isn’t going in a direction you like.

Good summary, not bad looking but nothing exciting either.

Seems logical to me, I don’t like the look of that so much but this is simply preference. I would prefer far more normal clothes with better armor looking like scraps of stuff hemmed together (think road warrior type things) maybe looted from bandits or whatever. Again what you showed fits the game setting and look so I’d have no problems with it. I do think high level armor protects too well all players should be a bit more squishy.

As I’ve said from what I know I have very little excitement for the proposed armor changes and I think the few models they showed off look ridiculous. I want more clothing/armor choices. My perfect would would be finding or being able to craft tons of different jeans, pants, shorts, camouflage or BDUs same with shirts and shoes and hats or helmets (I’d like to have an option to hide the helmet so we can see each other’s faces). I want to be able to craft junk or scrap armor and have it appear different as in a stop sigh chest piece or a school crossing sign or whatever. I want no armor to look identical unless you really, really want it to look identical. I want armor to protect less and wear out quicker. I want top tier armor have to be found in loot. dyes/skins and so on are fine for mods to the armor.

dammit ya beat me to it This is so true with early access. You bought a copy of the game, you got a copy of the game. That is it and nothing else, if you want to be invested in the company either buy stock or in the Fun Pimps sense reach out to them and say “I want to buy a part of the company for x dollars”

While I’d like a behemoth like zombie it appears to be impractical at this point in time. I’d rather the Pimps finish 7D2D and move on to something else rather than perpetually f around with game systems. Accepting that a huge behemoth zombie is not possible simply give a noticeably different skin to the end game boss zombie and have it do something different like it throws explosive globs or it has a cloud of poisonous gas around it or it’s just really good at breaking walls. The zombie doesn’t need to look that different just make the difference noticeable maybe the glow red or something. Related hopefully there will be more skins for zombies going forward I really would like a non modded option to have enough variety that you don’t continually see the same ones over and over. I fear with UMA zombies ultimately going away this could be a problem however I am sure there is some plan the pimps have.

I get it, just make it the last body all others are bags. Put a time limit on it and it becomes a bag or if the player chooses in settings it deletes and all stuff is lost. I totally understand you can’t have dozens of corpses with multiple bodies all over the place without there being some kind of performance hit.

I am sure this is planned and I can wait post alpha 21. I would like there to be a corpse where I died when I go to retrieve my stuff. Bag is fine but sort of a disappointment. Ideally have the body with a few zombies chewing on it that come over to attack you.

@faatal what’s the approximate ETA for Alpha 21. We all have been around long enough to know whatever date is a realistic estimate and that estimate can change.

Dude you can already walk around with enough steel, iron and cement to build a large almost skyscraper. Your hands should be more than strong enough to grind up and compress some wood pulp.

Will we see A21 before the year ends?

Regardless whomever was playing who now is not playing, still bought the damn game. Them deciding to no longer play does not cost anyone income because 7D2D is a one time purchase. There are no subscription fees or server hosting fees.

What day can we expect this news?

Fataal answered this question a little while ago. Unity doesn’t support it and he has heard no talk of it being supported in unity. He also didn’t think loading assets faster would be a big improvement. Info below.

Controller is just a quick example as in Will the controller have auto assist aim, what will happen to mouse & keyboard function. There are others things too like consoles need a 10 foot UI, how well does that scale down to an 18 inch UI and so on. How about video drivers? Do they focus on console optimization or PC or will both be possible with staffing. I am just a little concerned about consolization

Fair enough, I was making the big assumption it would be cross platform play. I do say current consoles are different an obvious example is console still can’t use mice & keyboard controls to my knowledge which could be wrong.

Putting aside 20.4 we need to define “a mess”, as I said earlier my server works fine with 5 player. Just got off about 30 minutes ago. Fine to me is the game runs with minimal stutter and rare instances where a player drops for whatever reason. I expect to frequently see zombies, I expect a large world 10k minimum, I expect good sized hordes, I expect to have fun playing. I do not expect 60+ fps, I do not expect any game to be bug or trouble free, I do not expect (however I’d love to have it) hundreds of zombies on the screen at once. Maybe you simply have higher expectations than I do and that’s okay. Look for something else to play if 7D2D isn’t meeting your expectations. There are plenty of other things to do.
