  1. You’ve made a great mod for a game we all love. No apologies required I and nobody reasonable expects supporting this mod be a full time job or interfere with your real world life or family. thank you for being around.
  2. Are there additional zombie settings in the server client besides the config.xml? The game client has options for wandering horde settings that I cannot find in the dedicated server files. Home server not a rented server.

  5. It’s been mentioned and there are some for A21, optimizations are planned to mostly happen when Alphas end.
  6. From the YouTube interview it’s something like 90% working on 7D2D. They have six (I think) doing work on the new titles. Obviously wrapping up 7D2D sooner would allow more staff to work on new stuff.
  7. It’s cool don’t stress. I am happy if the game runs a bit better and the zombies/characters look a bit better. Game feels mostly complete in my opinion. I can wait for bandits.
  8. Meh, water needs a few improvements and it will be good enough.
  9. Better flowing water would be great however at this time I do not think it is worth the effort. I have a feeling it will be like “oh that’s cool” then we all forget about it. I prefer the Pimps double down and finish the game up then offer some sort of reasonably priced DLC. Maybe new POIs and new Zombies. I used to like the idea of endless betas but now I want them to finish up and move on to the next project and ideally offer a similar early access.
  10. Some get googling and find the info Joel was talking about regarding their unannounced games. I saw a video a while ago where they sort of leaked something but it wasn’t much.
  11. He unintentionally kind of did. he said (not a quote) regarding A21 being last alpha not being likely because bandits probably won’t make A21. The he said there would be a short cycle to the next alpha maybe a few months between A21 and A22, he could imagine A22 in the spring because the scope of it would be limited. Sounds like A21 by end of the year.
  12. *I think* this is just a Unity thing, it isn’t very good with stuff like water and even when it does it’s sort of clunky and a resource hog for minimal results.
  13. @faatal How about adding seasonal stuff as in we are in fall how about adding fall foliage as a optional patch? obviously not for this alpha. I think it would be sort of cool to see trees change color in game and I am sure there is a unity asset to do this.

  15. I never liked the idea of drones. Having a pet would be great but not at the expense of fps or requiring fewer zombies on screen.
  16. We will not have dogs or pets. I believe Unity isn’t up to the path finding part of pets. That’s why we have the drones.

  18. That’s all but certain at this point, however that change may be less variety or no mutant characters which is good and bad.
  19. Going to guess: *Something* refreshes every 15 days. Maybe ores to reduce the amount of digging and hopefully increase performance. Bandit attack at day 15?

  22. Honestly I am fine with a buggy first release and I’d prefer to have it a little early even if that means it’s a little screwed up.
  23. I hereby predict this will be a huge (and frankly silly) complaint
  24. It is a server setting in the cofig xml. Even if running a single player game you could run the server client and then connect to your own “server” on the same machine provided it is not a potato.
