Do you have a playthrough on youtube? I would love to check out your tactics. Don't think I would last that long with your settings.

I use windows and I also get that flickering on tools sometimes. I think what it is for me is I still make early temp base underground, usually at bedrock. I have been down there mining and seen that occasional flicker you mentioned. If I go to the surface I notice there is a thunderstorm. The flickering seems to coincide with the lightning. At least that is what it seems is happening to me.

Does anyone know the magic number of how close you have to stay to a drop crate? First time I went to one the zombies spawned (around 10 or 12) and thinking it was a one time thing I did my patented (backup while shooting and love tapping them with my sledge) When they were dead I ran back to get my loot and more spawned. So I killed those and slowly crept in hoping I could reach the crate before they spawned...lol you can guess how that worked out. So killed them again. This time I moved in and started circling the crate in what I thought was a fairly close distance and picked them off. After killing them and approaching again...you got it. Bam, zombies. So I wouldn't mind if someone would let me know if there is a proper way to get an airdrop. PS: I did get a ton of xp though so there is that lol. I can see some players using this as a super screamer...not even bothering to open the crate

@faatal, You mentioned you were working on improvements for glass blocks. Any chance we can get a two way mirror block. I use to use a mod someone made many alphas ago but of course it doesn't work now.

Have you ever thought of going into the xml file and adding the 5% loot option yourself? I pop in there and "tweak" a few of them myself Nothing like it lol

Had a look and couldn't find it. Maybe it has been changed in 20.5 EDIT: NVM, found it was searching for <button pos="476,-21" name="Journal" sprite but for some reason it couldn't find it. Shortened it to just "Journal" and it worked...thanks again

Sure you can. Everyone can guess. An educated guess is harder as you may need more info (as you probably have). An accurate guess is way harder. But yes, you can guess. You just won't lol.

Could there be an option to turn off the blinking journal icon in the game. I have played enough now that I don't really need to read them anymore but having to constantly go and click on them to stop it is getting a little annoying for me. I know it is still useful for newer players and I even mention it sometimes when watching new players on Twitch but for me, I need to be able to just turn the damn thing off.

lol should we be concerned that you never commented on it such as it seems better or makes the game more enjoyable. That you think it is an improvement over the old system.

Are you starving or are you just noticing the hunger noise and icon. From what I recall your player makes the hunger noise at 75, 50 and 25%. I have seen streamers have their hunger bar down so low I really couldn't see it. I think even if at 0 you health just slowly drops. I say think because I try to keep mine so close to full as possible as I like my stamina

I think the lowest I have seen since the change is 133 and I know I use to see tons of them way lower than that. My first page would usually be below 100 if I clicked the ping icon to filter them low to high. Yeah I noticed to that I pretty much have to click each server in the list or the ping doesn't show.

Am curious. Has anyone found a server with a ping lower than 3 digits? I remember when I use to search on old system I could find servers with pings in 40's and 50's. Since new system I don't think I have found one under 130. Even when it is searching in my region.

The mod is here. https://7daystodiemods.com/quickstack/ I am afraid that this one also does not remember the locked slots when you reboot game but I can live with that to be able to lock specific slots in my inventory. I have not tried the quickstack option so not sure how well that works as I just wanted it for the locking part.

I have used Khaines backpack mod before. Khaines locks the slots in order from 1st at top left to right. The reason I use Westwoods as I can lock specific slots. As in I like to have my wood, stone and fibers in the slots to far left starting at top and going down left side. I also like to lock my water and food in right slots starting at top and going down. And for some reason I like my empty jars and feather going across bottom left. I put all these things in those spots from when I started playing and am now used to it. Subquakes are built into his overhaul mod and are not standalone. I didn't know of w00kien00kie's mod. I may have to check that one out also.

The only two mods I know of right now that do that are Subquakes, which is a major overhaul and Westwuds, which I am using myself right now. I am not sure but I don't think it locks the slots in chests or vehicles. I know it will lock specific slots in my inventory. For now it may be closest thing we have for the ability to lock slots.

Hopefully they fix it so I(We?) don't keep getting all these chinese servers when we choose our region (I use USA East). And as you mentioned the ping, I do hope they also add a spot so you can search for a max ping rate to try and get some of those lower ping servers.
