  1. A full year subscription to Zombie Illustrated?
  2. Air drops should at least contain a note saying "Good luck with your infection!".
  3. Every time you stand right next to a burnt tree you're in the burnt forest. Hug the burnt forest tree because it probably needs it for being trapped in the wasteland.
  4. I went the other direction and changed to drop nothing on death... when I'm not playing perma death, that is. I've only recently went back to allowing myself to die and continue so I still struggle with it a little. When I'm allowing myself to die and continue playing I figured out that the wasted time going to get my stuff added zero to my enjoyment of the game so I just stopped that from happening once given the option. As for the original topic... It's hard for me to remember anything that kept me away from 7DTD for long, though I have taken breaks to do other things from time to time. I moved a few years ago and stopped playing because my real life became very busy. I think I missed part of A17 and nearly all of the A18 cycle because of that. The closest I've come to rage quitting recently was a corruption issue on a game crash. I remap my drop key to either nothing or Backspace so there's no way I accidentally hit it.
  5. #1 is a feature, not a bug. Accidentally scrapping 4 mods with the weapon/armor would make anyone furious. #2 is also a feature and prevents you from just picking up any crafting station you find in the wild. #3 is by design, neither feature or bug. I'd recommend you always open things up and empty them before destroying them. And using a pickaxe is NOT the same as scrapping or using a wrench. As a rule: wrenching > scrapping > axing > sledge. Except that scrapping can only return one kind of component while axing can return more than one. #4 this only happens if the container was opened first. An unopened container will not drop loot when destroyed. #5 see #3
  6. There used to be a circle with treasure quests (and hidden stash quests?) but with A20+ it seems to have gone away. I'm on Linux Mint if it matters. Not sure what to provide for this one... logs won't help so maybe a screenshot? It wasn't on the known issues list that I could find.
  7. You should probably post this in the mod forum.
  8. I'm a product of the 70's. And several other decades, too.
  9. I should add that sometimes they introduce bugs with new versions (duh) so it may break some things while helping others. You know, like everything else related to computer software.
  10. Considering some of it is security and bug fixes I'd think it would be best to update every time there is an update. What they list in the update is only a small fraction of what was actually done.
  11. If only I could generate a 10x10 map....
  12. If you mined out the entire bottom layer of blocks so that none of the map touched bedrock would the whole world collapse?
  13. In the end it was all a dream. A midsummer nights dream. Damn Puck and all his shadow friends. I am mortally offended. On a side note, what the hell does "mortally offended" mean? Is it the final straw in the Great Karen Purge?
  14. Plans? Yes. Will they come to fruiting before release? Maybe, maybe not. After release, most certainly.
  15. The bag dropping versus it going poof is just a random thing as far as I understand it. Maybe someday they will have a perk to affect the chance of a bag dropping. As for never ending chains of mineral/ore deposits... yeah that pretty much sums it up. It will depend on the biome of the mine to some degree. I suspect that well before release they will be tweaking the frequency, orientation, and density of mines. I think the general feeling is that too many mines is a far better thing than too few.
  16. As I remember it... Loot is based on game stage and modified by the world more recently. There are biome modifiers currently so that the harder biomes (wasteland, snow, and desert) increase the effective game stage and therefore give you better loot. There is/was talk of adding a modifier for POIs, too (but I'm not sure exactly how multiple modifiers will work, whether additive or multiplicative). Keep in mind that "better" loot is subjective but it amounts to getting higher end gear (like steel versus iron weapons or armor, for instance) as well as higher end ammo (like AP ammo for guns). Some things become far less likely to find in the late game and some things stop dropping at all. Not everyone will be happy with the default settings. As for stealth being affected game stage... sort of maybe? As your game stage goes up you will get tougher versions of zombies spawning as least sometimes. These tougher versions may have better stealth detection... but I'm not 100% certain that true.
  17. Reviled reviewer receives rating reflecting respected results, regrettably ransoming reality. That might be enough R's to turn me into a pirate. Which brings me to the point of my post... we need pirate zombies in 7DTD.
  18. Zombies are everywhere. For realz.
  19. If you use the seed Narnia I've heard it really happens.
  20. I really wish more people followed this simple rule.
