Still hoping to see a zoo some day.  An auto factory world be nice like you suggested.  And vanilla POI designed to blow up nicely like ZZTong's Kaboom propane POI would be great.  More cave POI and tunnel POI.  Bus station POI.  Subway or train station POI.  Subway can be collapsed so it doesn't have to be too big.  Public pool with high dive boards (2 levels).  Maze POI that makes use of the new wall volumes to keep people from jumping over or destroying the walls.

Also a system allowing dock POI to be placed in random gen, part in water, part out of water.  And then more dock POI.

And a variety of decoration prefabs that have zombies to get more zombies unexpectedly out in the wild.  For example, bear dens.  And maybe some decoration prefabs that are hidden treasure that you won't know about unless you get lucky and dig in the right spot.  Great surprise bonus for miners. Crashed plane decorations.

And more use of lighting and fog in some limited POI to create a nice effect.  Limited since lighting can cause performance issues but these can be wilderness so it isn't as much of a problem.

That's a start.  😀

I'll be adding a couple of yours that you suggested but the new thing I wouldn't think would fit in maybe an exotic pet trade would be cool since we don't really have a lot of Wildlife

Yeah, there's not a lot that could go in there.  But it was either faatal or LazMan who said they'd be interested in possibly doing one someday.  It can always be a lot of broken cages where animals used to be but have escaped and then you just have the animals from the game still there.  That would still be believable.

Orlando national library. A kinda reminds me of metros  something that like a crack a book library would be a neat tier 4 poi.

1000s.jpg

I know overgrown on houses aren't a think.nore am I asking but remove that and show how ruined and empty those houses are. And they would be nice residential remnants. Like in Dyersville

Look up any house in Detroit and I could see those in 7dtd

An idea: "low effort existing POi remodeling". It looks a lot like the pics posted above, especially the one right above this post (note the ladder going directly to the second floor attic) and is a lot less effort to make than a new POI from scratch.

I have made a few "unpublished" small POIs where i just made copies of the "destroyed remnants" and added to them. I built them like a survivor(s) tried to live in the remains using found junk/mayerials (meaning i didnt take a lot of blocks out or make perfect walls i only added things like ramshackle floors/access and fencing/tarps/junk to make some "fences/protection". They are "low loot" and not mazes, just a few "rooms" that provide barely any shelter. Imagine finding a manmade junky enclosed platform at the roof of a destroyed building, with sandbags and car parts, etc making walls. Inside is a bed and a small food/med cache.

their purpose was to make the world (especially wasteland) feel like people at least tried to live there "after the apocalypse happened" and secondarily if you came across one and was desperate you could stay there for a night or 2 and not be totally exposed.

i find it "looks good" in game and can be made in an hour or two in the editor, but... having only a few of them looks repetitive and not so great.

anyway: if we could get a lot of "copy existing small/med POI" and just add a tiny bit of "lived in/barricaded/ramshackle rooftop sanctuary" look to them or just a different room in them it might be neat and add some "unknown" discoverable flair to the existing POis, make things seem more "real"

Extra ruins would be nice for performance as well. And world building..not every place would be untouched.  Like stores.

And I do hope soon we get more post-war pois like you talked about. I miss the old shanty town I always used to build a base there

If I had one request granted, it would be to use the old navezgane city that was in the wasteland, as a template

for the upper tier POIs. Cratered streets, hydrants flowing, and pocked buildings, that look like they would crumble

on you if you mis step. basically foreboding.

A flooded area would be cool af. Like street level

here's some examples (of the POI's I am working on) of what I was mentioning above, basically "post war" but also a mini POI "put a bird on it" makeover. I assume this is kinda what you might be asking for/wanting?

You see this is the kind of stuff I want to build in the base game without using creative mode I love it this is how I used to build my bases on console in the ruins at the Hub City I love the little umbrellas 10 out of 10 and the tarps

A old fort from the frontier would be cool in the desert close to the western town a tourist traps just like the rest of it, uses those log walls and gates

Here are some nice examples of Fort Michilimackinac in Michigan that I've been to.  A nice fort like that or your example would be great.

I know this might be a bit perilous to gameplay, and would probably
cause some rage quits. What i was talking about is something I
posted before the land and landscape needs a bit more synchronicity.

The pois are beautiful, and the detail shows that they took a lot of
time and talent to build. But the textures are too beautiful, too clean.

If the textures were still 2d maps Id grunge them up, then Use rockets to
blow holes in the terrain, add more soot blood and gore to the side of
the buildings. Trees would be toppled, in the streets, some grass would
be blackened. lootable Police cars would be overturned, with dead men
partially crushed, but still able to spit.

Workers "crawlers" pinned under vehicles, that would rip away from their
bodies explaining the crawler models.

Some of the buildings would be split and held together by damaged low
stability blocks, that if further damaged would start mini to mid level collapses.

This is a similar mechanic as the collapsing roof, but dealing more detailed with
the complete structure.

Errant zombies would be laying about in the grass, and awakened by excess
sound, and last for now, a lot more potter's field graves. Some with zombies
digging their way out of the dirt. Some with just the hands above ground.

Horrific which is what it would really be like. Essentially a Lovecraft novel
imagery.

I hold to the dream that when all is done to Joel's satisfaction, that a gui will be

created to allow editing Texture2darrays, and the raw files will revert to 2 layer

again.

Agreed they are should make some textures more dirty to match the new zombies. Add some grime or make it look darker

I love this idea... but due to the limitation of available number of paints, I would probably not want it.  I would love those kinds of gritty, grimy paints and textures in POI.  But I wouldn't want those in my base.  If they could have both nice, clean paints and textures as well as the gritty, grimy ones, then that would be perfect.  Since they can't seem to increase the number of available paints/textures, I'd rather stick to ones that are at least decent looking.  Of course, many of the ones we have are also not very nice to begin with.  Peeling paint on concrete and wood siding paints, for example.  Horrible wallpaper "paints".  But at least there are some that are nice and clean and work well enough.  I would REALLY like to have double or triple the available paint choices, with each one having a variety of color/tint options rather than needing a bunch of the same paint/texture that just have different colors like we have now.  I'd choose that over bandits any day.  :)

Well, here I suggest a subway and tonight I find a subway in the game, with the tunnels collapsed like I had thought would work well.  It is really well done.  Great work to whoever created that POI.  But wow, for a 0 tier POI, it had a lot of ferals (bikers and that fat guy mostly) and a radiated zombie.  Oddly, the loot area didn't have any zombies.
