  1. Not a problem. As for your question, I am honestly unsure. It doesn't look like that functionality is built into the original mod before nor Ragnar's edition now though. It does seem like something you could do in theory to me. I mean if you can change weapon fov at all it seems feasible that you could change it upon weapon selection again to something else. Either way its definitely beyond me. Probably worth asking around the forum in general if you're interested though. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful there.
  2. The guns are the worst part, but the issue extends to the overall weapon fov in general. Your hands are just way too close to your face. I can't even play a brawler build with how goofy it looks. It's like boxing with your hands literally in front of your eyeballs. This is the closest I could find, but imagine walking around like this with broken scissors and corkscrews strapped to your knuckles. Just silly. I agree about the reloading too. Its especially noticeable to me with the new pipe pistol/revolver. I fire one bullet, hit reload, and dump the whole chamber on the ground. Why?
  3. Notepad++ is what most everyone uses nowadays. Its free and easy to use. Here is a link to the latest version. EDIT: Looks like regular old notepad also works. Possibly Word Pad too. Sorry about that. Still, notepad++ is great:)
  4. Did you make sure that the folder isn't in another folder? To clarify, you should have a structure like mods\fov changer\(harmony, scripts, etc) NOT mods\fov.changer\fov changer\(harmony,scripts,etc.) Sometimes unzipping results in a copy of the directory containing the folder for the mod rather than just the folder for the mod itself. I hope that made sense. I'm not great at explaining any of this. That is how I have it in my installation and things are working alright. I don't think that there are any dependencies that I happen to have or anything so it should work like that. I'll test things out myself but let me know if you get it working.
  5. That is exactly the image I have in my head every single time I pull the trigger lol!
  6. I'm with you. It is one of the things that drives me nuts about the guns. They feel so bad to shoot with your face an inch from the sight like it is and lining up the tip of the front sight to make a shot is so annoying. I love the game but really hate the guns as they are now.
  7. Amazing work, ocbMaurice. Truly. It feels like the way things should have been implemented in the vanilla game from the start. I would like to request some clarification on which mods are add-ons/companions to the overhaul and which are included within the overhaul itself. Its hard to figure out which is which for me and there is some conflicting information regarding that. For example the main post here has a list of mods after a statement saying the overhaul "consists of several other smaller mods that should all work standalone." However, when you go to the Overhaul's github there is another list of "additional recommended mods." The problem is that these lists are for the same mods. Very confusing. Is there any way that I could get a list of addon mods only so that I do not download mods that are already included within the actual overhaul itself? I apologize for my confusion and I thank you for your time.
  8. DMT is no longer necessary since harmony is built into the game now in a20. Simply unzip the .rar file and put the folder in your "mods" folder like a normal old mod now. Its nice and easy this way, not that DMT installation was too bad or anything but it is nice having things built into the base game like they are now.
  9. Take all of the time that you need. Its no problem. It was just a pretty strange issue after I looked at the loot values myself and they looked good but what was happening in-game didn't match up. I'm just glad someone else had the same issue. I thought maybe I was going crazy or messed something obscure up somewhere myself lol.
  10. Yeah, the food spawns are high in the food expansion for sure. Seems like the Pallets mod from your mods is also really really crazy. I don't think this is limited to yours and the valmer mods either. I've noticed other mods that add loot sometimes are going crazy too. I wonder if its some sort of bug or vanilla game issue? I don't know. Something is up though.
  11. Thank you so much for the updates. That is a whole lotta mods! Just to let you know the loot spawns seem really high. Most notably using Armory Workbench, Expanded Traps, and Survivor Notes. I am averaging two trap schematic books, trap fuel, two survivor notes, and multiple armory bench sewing kits per trash pile. Every little pile I have come across in the roadways has contained these things. It seems to be that they are there 100% of the time but the amount varies. Those sewing kits were crazy common in a19 but they're really insane now. I haven't tried Expanded Foods yet to see if the loot is the same for that mod but it is next on my list to try. Sorry to point out things like that. I feel like an entitled brat lol.
  12. Yeah, no, Days Gone suffered from mixed reviews unfortunately. Plus it was a PS exclusive for a long time. Critics said it was unoriginal and offered nothing new while others praised its take on an open world and the 500 zombie hordes and horde mechanic in general. It wasn't really until it released on PC that it gained a bit of a cult following. I've never heard mention of the child zombie thing being a reason for any of that. It barely drew any attention or ire for that. I think if TFP do not want child zombies in their game, that is fine. Its their choice. But to pretend it would damage game sales in some meaningful way is just silly. Everyone is offended by nonsense these days. If that were their design philosophy, to not offend, then the game would be trash and doomed from the start. They'd have to start pulling out the strip club and female zombies in general and hey, why not just pull out the violence in general? It'd be a whole can of worms/slippery slope to start on so I doubt that that is what their decision is based on.
  13. You sir, are a hero. Thank you! EDIT: Whoa there, that default fov setting is a bit crazy lol! Everything really looks great but I would suggest making the default weapon fov just a little more sane of a number. 60 is what I went with.
  14. I was watching some youtuber playing Alpha 1.1 he had on an old hard drive. The night was absolutely terrifying. Creepy sounds all around and of all types, even a crying baby. Way more atmospheric sound-wise than its current iteration. It'd be nice to hear some more things roaming in the dark.
  15. Days gone integrated child zombies in a great way. Newts. agile wall climbers that hang out on roof tops and only attack if you attack first or invade their territory. It really does add to the game and I don't think that game was banned anywhere.
  16. + 1 to an A20 update:) Also, is there anyone here that has a compiled copy of the 0-FieryRiderCore mod and the FovChanger mod from their mods folder for A19? I'm not looking for the mod download link itself, I can get that from the main post. I'm looking for the mods from the actual "mods" folder after they've been built by DMT. If anyone can throw me a link to that I'd be quite grateful.
  17. I'm not the most knowledgeable person (like, at all) about this stuff, but would something like this help at all? Its what OCBmaurice has been using to get many of his DMT based mods working. Also, I know that Spherii has most of his DMT mods in a useable form over on his github here. It even has his core mod that a lot of things relied on. I don't know if any of that is even remotely useful but I thought I'd at least attempt to be helpful. I'm not trying to rush you or anything either, just sharing some info of an undetermined relevance or usefulness:)
  18. I've been using the horde mod for a bit now and its working okay here. It does take a day or two. But after that, if you don't adjust settings, you can get a horde twice a day it seems. Sometimes the horde is really big like 20 - 30 zeds. Its pretty crazy.
  19. This looks very well made and I'd love to try it but the download link is not working for me. I get an access denied page with a button to request access privileges instead.
  20. I'd be interested in the demolisher getting added into your existing Behemoth spawning mod if you get bored:) I don't ever encounter them as I turn off the blood moon and they're limited to horde night only. It seems a shame to not see something like that in vanilla now that you can tweak things further with feral sense too.
  21. There have been several mods that used to modify the Assembly-CSharp.dll file by replacing it but have since adopted a different system that compiles at launch in A20. I think some things have changed since the adoption of Harmony support in the base game. I do not know, but perhaps this could be useful here? I am quite the noob with all of this and my understanding is quite limited so please forgive me if my suggestion here is useless, I just figured it couldn't harm to point it out. Anyways, probably the most relevant example targeting the same dll would be OCBmaurice's TAA fix here.
  22. Lol, you're doing the lord's work Sir.
  23. The only thing I'd like to see is hunger be shown in a percentage bar never going above a hundred percent. (well, naybe with buffs or something.) There can be a point system underneath that increases overall as you level up so you have more hunger points to go through but it doesn't make much sense that I have to stuff my face more to get full after leveling. Food could fill a set percentage rather than point amount and it would maintain its value throughout leveling up that way.
  24. I like the scarcity of food in loot compared to a19 and I agree with you about the balance and resource sinks completely, but a player's time is a valuable commodity and wasting it is like the worst way to go about things. Adding mechanics like zombie's trampling crops or animals like pigs being drawn to crops and damaging them as well might be preferable. I'm no game design expert but maybe make farming require slightly more complex infrastructure, anything other than waste player time. Placing one single point in LoL essentially allows you to attain unlimited food as it is now. It doesn't mitigate the unlimited resource situation and it doesn't make anything more challenging, just takes more time. At the end of the day you just need to find some more seeds than you would in a19 until you get that first LoL perk then you're right back at infinite food and farm expansion like a19 again. I'm not saying the mechanic breaks the game or anything like that, there's still fun to be had all over the place. I don't think crops are broken or anything like that either, Its just a pretty questionable decision with equally questionable effectiveness to me. An adjustment like the ability to press "e" to pick crops then automatically deducting a seed from player inventory to replant, if you have one of the same type, would be a nice little QoL change maybe. I don't know. I feel kinda bad saying anything at all really. I wasn't trying to complain. I just usually like making large farms and felt the impact of the time sink more than a resource drain or anything else. Then when this thread popped up it just made me think is all. Sorry if I came off negative there.
  25. Yeah, I don't feel it effected my sense of survival in any meaningful way. It just makes farming tedious. I'm all for balancing survival more but I don't think this really did it. I haven't come close to running out of food or starving yet. I only started playing in a19 so I can't say how things hold up to prior to that but this iteration of farming is tedious and in A19 its mostly pointless so... overall good change I guess. As for easy money, as long as traders exist I don't think they can avoid that issue. Just watch how most streamers or youtubers like Kage848 live off of them.
