  1. Yeah I prefer feral sense really. I made the mistake of having it on all the time and a base in the wastelands. My nights were never boring after that.
  2. Word of advice though, best to use excel to modify it as a csv file rather than your xml editor (I use Notepad++). Excel will keep everything in neat columns
  3. Hence I said requested, not required 😉 Changing the loot quantity doesn't change the odds of finding higher level loot. In order to do that, you have to change the probabilities of finding higher quality loot. I modded my game to do just that (changed all Q3 to 0.45, Q4 to 0.35, Q5 to 0.25, and Q6 to 0.15). By day 126, the number of Q6 gear I found in loot was less than how many fingers I have. And you don't have to have equipment degrade, just make it so you can't repair it. Lose the trader rewards, only have Q6 gear at inflated prices, and you will find a constant struggle of keeping yourself maintain while trying to gather dukes to even buy stuff from them. Even go as far as make the mods a one time use only (can't remove) and you will find yourself bouncing between gathering materials to make new weapons after yours all broke during horde night to upkeeping your base.
  4. Too lazy to take pictures again 😉 Try the steps in the attached link
  5. Hold your horses, Callum was only trying to help since this is an English site and posts are requested to be in English. Not sure why you got offended when a community member is trying to help out. I wouldn't anticipate the developers adding more weapons and armor to the game, or even finishing moves / combos for attacks. They seem happy with the amount of weapons / armor for the vanilla game (though armor / clothing is getting a revamp for A22 so what we have today is getting replaced - but it didn't sound like they were adding any more to the game other than what they already have planned). Any additional weapons / armor / bullet calibers would more than likely be added via mods. As for attack combos and finishing moves, that would be very difficult to put in at this stage and complete the game for Gold based on TFP desire to finish the game in 1 to 2 more development cycles after A21. And I haven't seen or heard anyone from the development team expressing interest in adding that type of combat mechanisms to the game.
  6. Question regarding balancing - I noticed that the perk books give a durability buff to spears, clubs, pistols, shotguns, machine guns, and turrets once you find the maintenance version book in the game. Are there plans on adding that buff to any of the other weapons or was their durability already adjusted to take into account that the remaining weapons don't get a durability buff from a perk? In some cases, it seems a bit weird. For example, the 9mm and SMG get the durability buff, but not the 44 magnum or Desert Viper. Turrets get a durability buff, but not batons. Edit: I missed the one for bows.
  7. Without a log, one can only guess as this error typically happens when it is looking for something that is either missing or corrupted
  8. So the end of each wire should take damage when a zombie walks through them (if I understand it correctly). If they walk between 1&2, 2 takes damage, 2&3 3 takes damage, and so on. If no damage at 5 then that is probably because no zombies walked between the poles 4&5. Issue with this design though is if any pole in the circuit becomes broken from damage, any poles after that won't get any electricity flowing through them. So if Pole 3 gets broken, then you won't have any current flowing from poles 2 through 5.
  9. Something we all missed on this example that would explain what is happening from an immersion perspective is the actions that the survivor took prior to entering the room (we been concentrating on what the survivor was doing inside the room). In order to enter that room, the survivor had to press a button to the side and a heavy steel vault door opened up for them. From an immersion standpoint, the zombies aren't reacting to the survivor but to a heavy door creating noise while opening.
  10. TFP hires new employees to work on optimizing the game to run on both the PC and console TFP is making changes to the game to run on 16 bits compared to 32 bits which not only improves performance on the PC, but is required for the console TFP states that a console version will come out definitely after PC goes gold, intermittently if Sony / Microsoft / Publisher allows it TFP is working with a publisher for 7D2D to be released on the next Gen consoles The Console publisher would be the one that announces a release date for the console game, as they would be the ones setting the timeline for release of the final game. Yep, it all checks out. TFP has no interest in doing a console game based on the current 7D2D iteration since TFP has not released any new information in the past 4 months. If you see a new version of 7D2D for the console, it is probably a trap. Don't buy it. /s
  11. Which mod are you asking about? There are a lot of mods out there, even with ones that add new vehicles to the game.
  12. The fallacy of this statement "the class is fundamentally broken" is based on your perception of what stealth should be. As we have learned playing many different types of stealth games over the years, stealth can be handle many different ways (from Hitman to Dishonored to many others). If you walked into a POI and every sleeper instantly woke up and targeted you no matter what you do, then yes the stealth in this game is fundamentally broken. However, the developers have gone the route they did where if you spec into Hidden Strike and From the Shadows (and kit your gear correctly) then you will clear out a significant majority of the zombies without them knowing you are there. For all of the zombies that are awaken though, the game has the mechanic where you can strategically go backwards, hide from them, and then re-engage them later and get the Hidden strike bonus. Any true stealth player doesn't go into the higher level POIs without a silenced pistol or SMG. It's even advisable to have a larger weapon (shotgun for example) if all hell breaks loose and you are getting overwhelmed. Based on your comment, you don't want to have to retreat. That is your choice. But when you disregard one of the benefits From the Shadows gives you, that doesn't make stealth fundamentally broken. That is a choice that you made that doesn't take advantage of all of that perk's benefits. That is like only eating boiled meat the entire game and then stating the food regeneration system is broken because you are only get 10 food for each item consumed when you have a total of 200 food.
  13. Here we go again 🙄 TFP is taking away people's ability to play the game they want to Stealth is broken Nobody is explaining how the system works Except it has been discussed many many times and a simple search pop up these three fairly easy Also this one was a very good discussion on stealth If you pay attention and take note of how the system works, you can find stealth builds very powerful and fun to play, and a lot less Skyrim type where stealth was just way overpowered and ridiculous
  14. Not sure what you mean, zombies spawn all around the base, but since there are steps (or blocks I should say) going from the ground to the level I am at, they will be drawn into the narrow hallway where the fences and darts will start to thin them out. And there is no way for them to get to me from the back (behind me) as they need to max out parkour like I am to be able to jump up there.
  15. ask the mod creator. This area is typically for vanilla support. But probably mostly mod conflict or version conflict....especially since you provided very little information to try and help you. Also UL is an overhaul mod, doesn't play nice with other mods usually
  16. @Matt115 My non-exploitation corridor killing base, complete with electric fences, dart traps, and 3 shotgun turrets pointing into the kill box. Even has my traditional fallback position (standing currently). You can even see the ground repairs I have had to make from exploding cops and demos. I did give the zombies a chance to get to me, not much of a fighting chance mind you. Just because some of us are using the extra braincells we have compared to the zombies doesn't mean we are exploiting the game.
  17. https://github.com/BFT2020/NoFog.git modlet that removes fog from the game - only required to be installed server side only as xml edits only
  18. Remember a story is coming before 7D2D goes gold so that might be the ending that they (TFP) are planning on doing for this game. Even the Neverending Story had an ending 😉
  19. Maybe turn this into a learning experience and look at pinned topics first before you first post? They are there to help the user, but only works if the user actually reads them. Things like Rules of the forums are typically pinned topics and ST went through a lot of time and effort to create and maintain a pinned topic in this section to make sure people can get help with their issues when they come here. One of the biggest issues over the years is a lack of information so she took the initiative to create a detailed topic on what steps you need to do to get assistance. Unfortunately, people just skip the pinned topics (and not even read the subject lines) before jumping right in and asking for help with not enough information to assist them. So if she came off as salty to you, it is just because you are one in a long line of people who are not reading the pinned topic at the top of this topic and requesting help with not enough information to actually provide the help. ST (and many others that assist in this forum) are not TFP tech support, just passionate gamers trying to help others so posts about problems without critical information is taking time away from other activities. It might not seem like much not to include critical information at the very beginning, but imagine most people doing that and all the effort posters have to make asking for information already requested in the pinned topic setup to prevent this issue from happening in the first place..... The best processes in the world are worthless if they are not used. Now I will hop off of my soapbox. If you want help, post the missing information that is called out in the thread that she linked in her response. There is a lot of knowledge here in this topic and with that information you provide, they can start to track down your issue quickly to get you back up and running. There is a lot of information in the log files that can quickly track down the issue or even get the people trying to help the right questions to ask.
  20. Yeah the last time I stepped into that room, I quickly backtracked out through the hallway and waited for about 30 seconds. When I made my way back, I was able to silently drop the zombies in there that were just milling around. Most people seem to just use the less noise from actions from the perk, keep forgetting the part about zombies giving up searching for you faster at the higher levels. Also not seeing any rocks in the hotbar to use a distraction....
  21. Let me guess....that's the time after the last air drop where the supply plane gave you a box full of cornbread 😉
  22. I am not sure what you mean, but from what we been told, the crafting system obviously is moving over into crafting skills that you raise by finding the specific magazine or buying from traders / quest rewards. The perks are getting revamps but they haven't talked a lot about them besides the changes to Sex Rex and Flurry of Blows. So Miner 69r already has a bonus to entity and block damage and should see a stamina bonus and speed bonus. Motherlode right now only boosts harvest yields so I don't see any changes coming to it unless that is part of a wider rework. If you don't want to spend points to unlock perk bonuses, you can mod the game and put all that stuff into the crafting perks; but I don't see TFP removing perks and move everything to the learn by reading system. They already talked about revamping perks so...
  23. Have you DM him or tagged him? He is busy working on his DF mod so he might not see it for awhile, if at all
  24. Yeah I made a modlet for someone that wanted to remove fog completely from the game. It sucked (the modlet work, I played for a week without the fog and removed the modlet after confirming it was working). I might do what doughphunghus stated and go the other extreme - dense fog all the time
