  1. As meganoth stated... I mean, it is really hard to claim there is "planned obsolescence" when the game has fully supported modding to a great extent since the beginning. That's kind of like Bethesda saying that they planned for people to beat Skyrim in 10 hours, and then never play it again.
  2. Client is not able to connect to online services. Exclude the program from security software, and allow it in the firewall. This is covered in the Support FAQ. If you don't have an online connection, then play offline.
  3. No, it doesn't do a check before it randomly chooses a POI. Doing that would require a LOT of overhead.
  4. Corrupted player data on host. NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at GameManager.PlayerId (System.Int32 _playerId, System.Int32 _teamNumber, PlayerDataFile _playerDataFile, System.Int32 _chunkViewDim) [0x0005d] in <d7dcfa4979674f179c13273f8b30b551>:0 at NetPackagePlayerId.ProcessPackage (World _world, GameManager _callbacks) [0x00000] in <d7dcfa4979674f179c13273f8b30b551>:0 at ConnectionManager.ProcessPackages (INetConnection _connection, NetPackageDirection _disallowedDirection, ClientInfo _clientInfo) [0x000c8] in <d7dcfa4979674f179c13273f8b30b551>:0 at ConnectionManager.Update () [0x0016a] in <d7dcfa4979674f179c13273f8b30b551>:0 Host will need to go into the Players folder inside of the Save folder for that game, and delete your files. Should be something like EOS_0002e19bdc834556b5c5dc8bc1a41dbe.ttp and .ttp.bak
  5. Sounds like the XBox MD5 issue. There is a Pinned thread on this.
  6. A few things for this. 1. The game is designed for co-op gameplay with a maximum number of eight players. It is not designed for public MMO servers with 30-50 players. 2. Server owners have the ability to use 3rd-party management mods which can prevent this. Not only can they select options to disallow bedrolls and LCB's in all POI's, but they can also choose just the quest POI's to be restricted, or to restrict only specific POI's that they choose. These managers also allow the ability to restrict entire regions, or even custom drawn areas. So really the issue isn't the game itself, but in how it is being used, and in how poorly some people are at managing a server when they choose to exceed the specs the game is designed to.
  7. I mean, that is basically what Alpha game development is. They are still designing the core features and mechanics of the game. It is the time period in development where you try something, like it or not, and then try something else if you don't like it or get a different idea about how you want the game to be. One of the main reasons for changes to loot balance, locking things behind gates with the magazine system, and jar removal, is to extend the gameplay of the game. It's to make it take a bit longer for you to become heinously overpowered. I mean look at Alpha 16. You could be fully equipped so no horde was a challenge in just a couple of game weeks. People were complaining that the game was too easy, that it got boring too fast. So the developers decided to stretch out the initial gameplay to a span of 30 hours. Now they have decided to make that closer to 50 hours. And unlike many other studios, TFP has made it so that most of the previous Steam releases are still available to you. So if you liked a16 the best, you can keep on playing it.
  8. It's called Rage mode. Was added a while ago. Your difficulty level will change the % chance for a zed to enter rage mode when hit.
  9. With EAC on I do not believe this is possible.
  10. Your screenshot indicates that you did not run the file I provided the path to. It looks as if you ran install_eac.bat from the EasyAntiCheat folder inside the client. Please run the file from the path I provided.
  11. What error are you getting? At what point does it crash? Have you tried repairing by running C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS\EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe as administrator?
  12. From what I understand currently, a22 will drop to PC users, and then probably a month later it will drop to consoles. I personally feel that it is likely to be happening early 2024, but I am just guessing based on what I can see from development. This estimate is in no way supported by TFP. It will not be an update to the existing version. I'm not sure if they will offer it as a free download or if it will require purchasing. Most likely the latter, though I have heard they may be investigating the ability to offer discounts to verified purchasers of the previous version.
  13. Just be aware that it is EARLY Access. Only been out a month, so kinda like 7 Days was a decade ago in terms of features and content. I've been enjoying it though. Have a server up even.
  14. I also detailed how to go offline in his thread here...
  15. You already can. Step 1 : Go Offline Step 2 : Launch the game Step 3 : Play Offline OR ... Without even bothering with any of the above steps, you simply choose to play solo when starting a new or existing save. Options are already there. You just need to use them.
  16. !00% Voxel + high-end graphics = Min spec required to play is going to be a beast. Not sure that even Unity could hold up to that until it can split the primary process across multiple cores and fully support utilizing a 32-core system and DirectStorage.
  17. Which is why it is so confusing. Wayland and X11 are basic GUI environments designed for remote connections. They aren't supposed to be your primary desktop enviroment. An excerpt from the Wiki for X Wayland is basically a graphics stack used for the display server. What is Wayland in Linux Distros and Should You Use it? (ubuntupit.com) It sounds like you did something like installing Linux using an option like "KDE on Wayland" for the desktop environment without knowing what you were actually doing.
  18. Then you should be using KDE/Gnome, or one of the actual desktop environments. X11 and Wayland are supporting tools for connecting to remote systems. You don't use them to connect to your local computer desktop. How did you set up this computer?
  19. Curious, why are you using X11 or Wayland to play the game? These are remote desktop communication protocols. You should be playing directly on the machine.
  20. PINNED thread you were supposed to read before starting a thread in this section of the forum.
