I bought a nice gaming pc early last year and it played 7D2D like a hot knife going thru butter. I was getting an avg of 100fps and it was dropping to 80-90 in big towns. A huge difference from my gaming laptop which couldn't handle 60fps on medium settings. My current desktop setup: Ryzen 5 5500 3.6ghz+, 32gb ram, MSI GeForce 3060 RTX 8gb card, 1 TB SSD. Now my issue is I haven't played 7D2D in 2 months or so. I was waiting for the new alpha to drop beginning 1st QTR before I created a new world. I couldn't wait and jumped in recently anyway. The game runs like the zombies are in slow motion and when i jump I feel like I'm moon jumping (more airtime than usual). Also, when walking forward I sometimes jump ahead a few steps as if I lost a few frames. I have done some homework also and I turned Dynamic Mesh off, turned shadows down to medium, motion blur off, and a few other minor tweaks but that did NOTHING. It's running at @ 80-88 fps in a small town. I'm confused as to how last time I played it, it ran like a champ and now it's basically unplayable. I did uninstall/ re-install, checked all Steam settings and nothing! FYI: I was running on High settings before this transpired. I made sure I wasn't crouching, I checked CPU/GPU temps. Is this game just broke AF or what? Also I have ZERO issues running other games: Destiny 2, Grounded (on Epic settings), Horizon Zero Dawn, Wonderlands, Borderlands 3, Stray. Just looking for some help or info on this issue. Also, running on the latest stable version 21.2 B37
